  1. Roughly an hour per the Mayor's curfew.
  2. I've gone through 2 handles of Bulleit, a 750 of local bourbon, and a 750 of tequila...
  3. At least one instance of taken (maybe not over) is the affordable housing development that was razed to the ground. Around 50% of the projects I work on here in DC are affordable and I'm all too familiar with their financial constraints. It is highly unlikely that project gets rebuilt, at least under current ownership. Obviously that one also has ripples well beyond the structure itself.
  4. Proving my point yet again. I appreciate that you're at least willing to admit that you see all immigrants as the same whether they came through legal channels or not. Personally, I think that's fairly disrespectful to all of the great Americans who did come here from somewhere else legally, but to each their own.
  5. He didn't scapegoat immigrants, period. He absolutely platformed on border control and cracking down on people entering the country illegally. He correctly called out that specific group as criminals because they entered illegally. Conflating that group with legal immigrants is akin to Conflating the Westboro baptists with Christians. It is disingenuous and counterproductive. Perhaps a more relevant comparison, it is like conflating violent agitators and rioters with protesters. Don't do that.
  6. I'm not going to catch this fish for you, but perhaps you can learn. Read my post again, then read your response. Can you determine where you attributed intent to someone else's actions based on your personal interpretation?
  7. You verified my statement in the actual response to it. Thank you.
  8. No. It's quite simple, really. You tend to ascribe intent to other people's actions. These projections are nearly always incorrect, but they provide a very clear picture of how you, as an individual, think.
  9. I wonder if there's any overlap between people who are afraid to go outside still/people who support continuing the lockdown and political affiliation?
  10. Perhaps he's following up on that Susan Rice tip that Russia is funding the riots?
  11. I don't think her second comment is all that out of line about sowing discord on social media and funding pockets of people to escalate the protest activities. There is some truth there and I would wager it isn't just Russia, but any foreign country that would benefit from slowing America's economic recovery. The truly repulsive issue is the media's coverage of these Russa-funded activities is favorable and protective. What does that make them, ultimately? Might be wise to accept her speculation and then take a close look at who is speaking favorably about those activities.
  12. My admittedly thin understanding is that the stimulus checks were a tax credit, and they will effectively count as income next cycle. I actually rushed to file my taxes ahead of the stimulus in an effort to minimize my check because of that, and also I didn't really need it. Not sure how unemployment works, but I'd imagine that is also income unless the check is issued pre-taxed. Not sure how much sense it makes to tax checks that are being funded by taxes in the first place, but they do love to take their piece of every transaction...
  13. He was speaking fine, he just farted again.
  14. Not that I've seen yet. Were they also taken into custody?
  15. Word is yes. 3rd degree murder and manslaughter charges
  16. Define rushed. Do you mean stood in a single file line and submitted to temperature checks prior to entering?
  17. I'm sorry, just looping back to this. What link do you want exactly? You asked for a consolidated PPP pro-HCQ conspiracy theory, and that's what I gave you. I didn't cite any studies, I cited Doc's position and compared it to the anecdotal results of another poster. Do you want a link to Doc's post? He's probably better equipped to provide that. Or are you looking for links to morons making incredibly stupid claims about Trump? That'd be a very long post...
  18. In your truest colors you have finally recognized that the overarching issue is due process and it should be done away with?
  19. I could be mistaken, as I was fairly apolitical at that point in my life, but I'm pretty sure nobody voted for Obama in 2014. Like literally 0.
  20. In their defense, in the time where it was truly the highest they probably were not recorded as crimes.
  21. My grocery store has a sign stating that customers should wear masks and The aisles have one way signs. None of it is enforced, however.
  22. It certainly doesn't sound like freedom for the business owner being compelled to comply with the wishes of every person who enters their shop. In my opinion, freedom for all would be freedom for the business to conduct business as they please and freedom for the general public to decide what businesses to patronize.
  23. First, I'm not a Trumpian. I didn't vote for him and if morons would stop making incredibly stupid claims about him I wouldn't have to defend him as often as I do. If you actually read Doc's statement then you would understand that it fits well with keepthefaith's account. The combination of HCQ and Zinc slows, if not stops, the virus' ability to replicate. So if you start it early it is significantly more effective than it would be after the virus has already replicated. This also fits with the idea that the combo may be useful for prevention. HCQ has been used for other purposes for decades and the side effects are well known and documented. It is worth discussing with your doctor to see if the pros outweigh the cons in your individual situation. Whatever you do, I suggest listening to your doctor. Not Doc, not me, not DR, not Trump, not the talking heads on CNN. Your doctor.
  24. Those are always more effective when it's the same author.
