Bills fire ST Coach Danny Crossman
Ittakestime replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wouldn't mind bringing in the Jets ST coach. Jets are supposedly one of the least penalized teams on ST and I can't stand those penalties. -
For people that actually watched him in college, your opinion wouldn't have changed. For the people that listened to draft "gurus" your opinion probably changed. He is the same as he was in college. Doesn't play good against the big teams, and would have decent games versus lower level competition. Inaccurate, doesn't goes through progressions quick enough, won't stay in pocket enough and overall has a lot to be desired. He is fun to watch, but he also is so frustrating because it didn't seem like he ever turned the corner in college.
-
Because he has worked with multiple O line coaches with multiple teams and there is a pattern of decline.
-
I kind of feel the evaluation of the offense is over and they have moved onto special teams. I could be wrong though.
-
I think that is fair assessment, but I also think it is tough to say that the o line is directly responsible for all of the running game. I think if you are going to fire one, you should fire both.

It seems that Kelly Skipper has survived, but it also seems like that everywhere he goes, the YPA go down and the rankings in terms of the NFL. Buffalo: 2018: 4.2 (21st) 2017: 4.1 (14th) 2016: 5.3 (1st) Jacksonville: 2017: 4.3 (9th) 2016: 4.2 (17th) 2015: 4.2 (15th) 2014: 4.5 (6th) Oakland: 2015: 3.9 (22nd) 2014: 3.7 (27th) The bold is when Kelly was with the team. There seems to be a decline with every team he takes over. This is for team rushing because that is what I found on ESPN. If anyone had just RBs, I would be interested in that too. http://www.espn.com/nfl/statistics/team/_/stat/rushing/sort/yardsPerRushAttempt

Bills fire ST Coach Danny Crossman

The guy was a train wreck in Detroit and was the same here. Fans in Detroit had no idea how he still had a job. -
Bills fire WR Coach Terry Robiskie

You would be an upgrade over Crossmam. There wasn't a worse ST out there. You name the mistake, the Bills did it. Did the Bills block one kick this year? -

What is the obsession with Chad Hall in this thread? You look on Bills website and they won't even assign him a position. Literally just an offensive assistant with 2 years of experience. You dont fire Robiskie to make Hall the coach. -

So what was the excuse last year for the decline from 2016? -

He did a really nice job this year with developing the young WRs. I wonder if this is a situation with him leaving versus getting fired. I feel like he signed on late last year. May have just been a one year deal to till he could find something with more time. -

Robiskie has been the best WR coach we have had in ages. Foster and Zay have turned into nice players. That's you want your positional coaches doing, developing young kids. -
Brandon Beane press conference 12/31

All I did was list the signings and trades Beane has made since coming here. Do you not like his work? -

Why, because you don't like to see the facts right in front of your face? -

Could have been a great relationship with Wilks. His contract could have been up too, but my biggest guess would be that they were getting a new OC that he didn't know if he woul have meshed with. -

Sean Kugler is an interesting name. He is from Lockport which means he has those WNY ties like Daboll. Denver O line was significantly better this year and their running game allowed rookies to have good years. -

Ray brown is one of the top o line coaches in league especially in terms of running the ball. Carolina set running records when he was there. -

He retired because kids don't want to be coach now days. -

Was definitely needed but I do feel bad. He was really well liked by players. He just bought a huge beautiful house earlier in year and o line used to hang out there a lot. -
Buffalo needs a complete rebuild on Offense

Paradise, Saffold and Daryl Williams please. -
Good chance 6 of these teams will hire a different coach within 3 years.
