Were there ever years you were disinterested in the Bills?
Artful Dodger replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
My interest gradually decreased after 2000 or so. It bottomed when the Pegulas bought the team and hired Rex Ryan to be coach. At that point, I almost gave up on the team. -
Ranking NFL WR, TE, RB groups for 2025: Bills 28/32?
Artful Dodger replied to Lionel Hutz's topic in The Stadium Wall
In his methodology, wide receivers are weighted more heavily than running backs or tight ends. So, the Bills' strongest skill player, James Cook, contributed less to the overall ranking than the Bills' mostly underwhelming group of receivers. He also used recent performance history, and players such as Dalton Kincaid and Curtis Samuel had down years last year. If his methodology is accurate, imagine how good Josh Allen and the offensive line are to propel the Bills into being one of the top ranked offenses in the league. -
Allen is doing what he can to keep Cook happy. Is he going to say that he doesn't think Cook deserves the money?

He was a pretty good singer, but I heard he died. No thanks.

When you have to rely on Ilhan Omar to try to make your argument, you're in really big trouble. -
November 2026 The Mid-Terms
Artful Dodger replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
True, but they do give sh it when you talk about it constantly and it seems to be your most important issue. -
If you're going to start a trade war, maybe extract something more meaningful than 10,000 troops on a 5500 mile border to deal with a fentanyl problem that isn't really much of a problem. During the last fiscal year, 43 pounds of fentanyl were seized on the Canadian border, which is 0.2% of total fentanyl seizures. Big whoop. Other than to stir things up which Trump likes to do, there just really isn't much point to this.

November 2026 The Mid-Terms
Artful Dodger replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
After two years of Trump, the Democrats should do well in the midterms. However, that might depend on the quality of their candidates. If they continue down the insane road that they're on now, they're likely to underperform in 2026, just as the Republicans did in 2022, thanks to the terrible quality of Republican candidates that year. Assuming the Democrats win back the House, they'll probably impeach Trump four or five more times before the end of his term just for the hell of it. -
I noticed this as well. On at least three occasions, Nantz called a first down and then had to take it back as the refs marked the ball short of the marker. In future playoff games against the Chiefs, the Bills should assume that they need to gain at least eleven yards for a first down to account for referee slippage.

How does teaching recruits about the Tuskegee Airmen help our airmen to kill the enemy?

I sacrificed a goat and checked its entrails, and there were no signs of corruption. It looks good for this weekend.

Good find, and it begs the question: who has been mismanaging the hell out of the country for the last four years? Every journalist from the mainstream media attached to the White House since 2021 ought to fall on a sword and commit seppuku. They've been ignoring or hiding the biggest White House coverup since Watergate and maybe since Woodrow Wilson had a stroke and lost his capacity to govern over a hundred years ago. This story is just another nail in the coffin for the legacy media's credibility.

Are the Patriots still the NFL team you dislike the most?
Artful Dodger replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Chiefs. No, not the Chiefs really. Mostly their fans. In the AFC title game this year, I would like to see Buffalo go to Arrowhead Stadium and beat the Chiefs 51-7. -
This is brilliant.

President Biden pardons his son, Hunter.

In Biden's defense, he's probably forgotten that he promised not to pardon his kid. -

You have to go down five places to get to anyone who resembles a moderate. -
