  1. He'll go to the WWE. He was in the ring at Wrestlemania last year and is good friends with one of the guys on the WWE roster (Mojo Rawly). Him and his brothers are all huge wrestling fans. His acting is nowhere near ready to pursue a career full time, he was in a movie last year and it was god awful.
  2. Absent one of Darnold / Rosen / Allen / Mayfield falling to 21, I really hope they don't go for a qb if they stay put. I just don't see it with Rudolph, guy is Bryce Petty, another guy people talked up as a borderline 1st / 2nd rounder who actually went in round 4. Jackson I could go for but 21 does feel slightly early. Mike White / Luke Falk / Lauletta etc are fine as a 4th round pick, but day 2 people are talking themselves into things. I also don't see how anyone can say there's a preference towards seniors with our braintrust. They took a wildcard late in Peterman, but that was clearly in wildcard territory.
  3. It seems like Arizona would be a pretty logical landing place for Tyrod. With Larry Fitz coming back and David Johnson returning from injury, they may be more interested in a veteran than counting on a rookie or guys like Stanton / Gabbert.
  4. I think it was 5 years ago. We have nowhere near the skill position talent of the Eagles and likely nowhere near the offensive coaching either. Foles looked terrible against Oakland and Dallas trying to run the Eagles full playbook, once the playoffs hit they trimmed to the bare minimum. I think he can succeed obviously, I'm just not sure we are set up to make it happen here.
  5. Espn's coverage is a joke, NFLN all the way. That's all I have to say about that.
  6. NFL offenses are implementing more and more college scheme principles. The Super Bowl champ ran a dynamic offense featuring college RPO principles and Watson was tearing it up running an offense that largely amounted to "run for your life, throw it deep to Fuller or in the general vicinity of Hopkins". Jackson absolutely has the talent to succeed in the NFL, teams tried for years to find the big field general who could read the pressure, scan multiple reads and pick out the open receiver. They largely failed across the board. College offenses aren't producing those guys and there's no time for that style in the NFL now anyways. Smart offenses are adjusting to the QB talent that is coming into the league.
  7. Rosen has made it pretty far (day 1 power 5 conference starter, very highly rated across all draft board) for a kid who apparently has no interest in football. Imagine if he cared, he'd pretty much be the greatest prospect ever. That, or this is a ridiculous tired notion that exposes posters who know nothing.
  8. Bradford is going to be too expensive. If we pay the price to get Rosen, I'd much rather go with a much cheaper guy like bringing Fitz back and use the rest of our cap resources to put the best possible team around Rosen (or Darnold, or yuck Mayfield).
  9. And people think Rosen is the guy who doesn't care about football, only about being a star....
  10. Literally no one said that. They have enough ammo to move up to get him, still have 2 day two picks and largely have their full draft intact next year.
  11. #21, #22, 2019 1st or 2nd, #96 (or a third next year) and potentially Glenn seems to be value on the chart and the general consensus on price.
  12. There's a certain section of fans who'll never embrace a QB who doesn't come from a rust belt city with a blue collar background who has been overlooked, unless they raise a Lombardi. I think that's more than a little bit of the love affair with Mayfield, people see a two time walk on from middle America and want to cheer for that guy vs the blue chip kid from California.
  13. If they are happy with any of Rosen / Darnold / Mayfield, they know they'll get one at #4 (or sub Rosen or Allen, because, Browns). Trading the #1 would potentially take all 3 off the table.
  14. I realize they have a new regime, but man, taking Barkley at 1 and a QB at 4 really feels like a move the Browns would make.
  15. There were tons of rumors about the Cardinals liking Mahomes and someone in the Saints draft room said they were taking Mahomes if he didn't go at our pick. One of the teams you mention is going to sign Cousins. Given the Chiefs / Texans / Bears believe their QB questions are answered and only Carson Palmer's retirement opens up a definite QB need, it pretty much stands to logic that the teams needing QBs is pretty much the same as last year, if not less. You can just go on thinking what you want, we'll agree to disagree.
  16. Right. The Giants had NO running game last year, a terrible Oline, and their 3 best receivers out for the majority of the year. Shoring up the Oline, adding a talented young RB and getting Beckham back healthy very likely will result in a night and day difference.
  17. I've said what I think the price will be in multiple posts across a variety of topics. It's a price I'm more than willing to pay. There also aren't more teams looking for QBs this year than any other year. Just last year the Browns, Denver, Bills, Jets, Cardinals were looking at QBs in addition to the Bears, Texans, Chiefs who took QBs.
  18. I think Beane / McDermott's relationship with Gettleman makes just going up to the Giants pick the much cleaner scenario. We have plenty of value to give them on the draft value chart. If they wanted Barkley and they have good intel the Browns are taking Barkley #1 and getting their QB at #4, it's very likely the Giants can get their #2 RB with one of our picks and take all the extra draft stock. If they aren't targeting a player like Chubb (and they have 2 good DEs) or Fitzpatrick, then just getting the draft depth could be huge for them as they have a pretty expensive and shallow roster. I think Denver gets Cousins. We either move up to 2 or 3 and one of the Jets or Cardinals moves up to 2 or 3. Browns take Barkley, because, Browns, then Rosen / Darnold / Mayfield go off in some order.
  19. Most all "experts" agree there's no way one of the top QBs falls to us at 21. What you said is the exact opposite of economic principle, the price of moving up in your situation, when there's very limited "sure things" is MUCH higher than a situation like this where there's a couple of QBs at the top and teams at picks 2 and 3, not to mention 1 of 1 or 4, have reasons not to take QBs. That's exactly the situation you roll the dice and get yourself into when you are a franchise like us who realistically isn't likely to be bad enough to take a top QB with our pick. Every team has needs. A legitimate QB minimizes a lot of other perceived needs. Are you glossing over the fact we can likely make this move while keeping two day 2 picks in our coffers and potentially keeping our 1st next year as well? We have the extra picks this year, it's time to step up to the plate.
  20. If the Giants aren't taking QB, it makes all the sense in the world to trade down. Especially if you look at it like Barkley vs Guice / Sony Michel / or Kerryon Johnson + Glenn + Billy Price or another player at 21-22 + another draft pick.
  21. It's the top thing on my wish list this offseason, but I'm not getting my hopes up just yet.
  22. Staying at OSU
  23. I would imagine the price at #21 / #22 / Eagles' 3rd round / 2019 Bills 1st and maybe a player like Cordy Glenn (both the Colts and Giants likely wouldn't mind helping their Oline). That's slightly more value than the #3 pick but slightly less than the #2 off value charts.
  24. We get a potential shut down corner and a potential long time LT starter = B Pats get a rotational D lineman and a backup TE = B-
  25. You are exactly right. I was just using EXTREMELY rough math to illustrate that yes, we could sign Kirk Cousins and still field a whole entire NFL team this year. There is a ton of minutia and little moves that can be done to save money.
