  1. Mahomes I believe in Josh. But Mahomes is a different level already. And I think we’d clean up if we traded Allen.
  2. Fitzpatrick's versatility in our defense would have been NICE. Ramsey to some extent is a duplication of Tre, only wants to play man to man, no zone and is not a "process" guy. Look for Philly / Seattle here, both are desperate for help in the back half and usually aggressive enough to put up what it would take in trade.
  3. A 4th - 5th and Zay Zay could play the "Robert Woods" role in Taylor's offense and he's still cheap, which the Bengals would like. Green would be a true #1 for us, make Brown a killer #2 and free up underneath for Beasley. BPA in the draft, which given this draft is hopefully a skill player. Green / Brown / Beasley / 1st round WR and we are really giving Josh something to work with.
  4. Baker doesn't seem like the type to get too full of himself too... LOL I can't He seems exactly like that type
  5. Personally I think the punny team names are dumb and prefer to go with fictional names from TV / Movies: Gotham Rogues, West Caanan Coyotes, Minnesota St. Screaming Eagles, etc.
  6. Lev Bell getting a MRI on shoulder....
  7. Trevor Siemian
  8. If I were the Steelers, after seeing Moncrief on the field I would be calling the Jets this morning and seeing if I couldn't pry Anderson out of them. Would love to get him in here but given Foster's lack of role, it doesn't seem like Daboll is overly interested in having 2 guys on the field who can stretch it at the same time and the likelihood of dealing him within division is low.
  9. Allen missed on both interceptions. But they aren't the type of picks to raise concern. The Beasley play is complete fluke, the ball COULD have been put in a better spot but that needs to be a catch, getting popped up into a defenders arms is the type of thing to happen with any QB. It would be one thing if Josh badly overthrew someone over the middle of the field and there was a defender waiting, or if he stared down a receiver and didn't see a breaking DB. Unfortunately a lot of the national people aren't going to any sort of level of nuance and are knee jerking to what they see on a stat sheet.
  10. Nah That's just every single Seahawks game. They play down to bad teams and up to good teams, usually have awful first halves then Wilson crushes it in the second half.
  11. Literally my first thought. It's funny now, it won't be when Brady is lining up with AB / Gordon wide and Edelman in the slot.
  12. Is this for real or a parody account? Though to be fair, that question probably holds for the entire Jets message board, certainly a "less evolved" fanbase. The Jets remind me of the early Dan Snyder Redskins. Youse guys, we got Lev Bell! and that dude from Bama! But what about your oline or DBs? Youse guys, it doesn't matter! J-e-s-t Jest Jest Jest!
  13. Looking at our schedule, I think if we want to legitimately talk about playoffs we need to get to 8-3 by week 12. If the Jets are one of the "3" that's going to make things even more difficult.
  14. Clowney could control where he went. Doesn’t want to go to a team, don’t sign the tender. Crushes any trade value.
  15. I think Chubb is way better than Hunt. IMO Damien Williams is JAG and the Chiefs lost nothing swapping Hunt for him.
  16. But I've heard several national media talking heads say we have the worst Oline in the league, how are our backups able to be traded for draft picks?
  17. I'm of two opinions on this: These guys put their bodies through A LOT. And it's a harsh realty at a pretty young age to have your dream you've been pursuing for most all of your formative years abruptly end. The reality is there's likely not a huge difference in caliber of player from the 50th to the 60th guy so it would be pretty crushing to be right there. But yes, I see your POV too. Most all these guys received enough college credits to be close to a degree if not finished with one while also getting room and board taken care of, not to mention there's likely an alumni network in place that tends to take care of athletes when it comes time to get jobs in the real world. That being said, a lot of these guys wouldn't sniff a college classroom if it wasn't for football and schools (especially football factory schools) do a pretty iffy job of steering student athletes, especially ones lacking academic skills, towards actual degrees. It doesn't take that much digging to find stories of guys who took 3 years worth of college credits they were steered into by teams only to realize they are still multiple years away from an actual degree. And yes, people need to be responsible for their own decisions, but if no one in your family or social circle has been to college it can be hard to know what you don't know.
  18. I think it's a massive red flag on the organization as a whole that we "weren't in a position to evaluate QB" in the 2017 draft (yet still took Peterman). Feels like a lame attempt at an excuse after Mahomes and Watson have turned into what they have become because they don't want to say "we didn't think they'd be this good".
  19. I have a funny feeling about AJ Green. I know he's been bouncing around "rumors" for a while, but given he's set to hit FA, if Tyler Boyd can show himself at all to be anywhere near their #1 option while he's out (which, yes, is probably ridiculous) or if the Bengals get off to a terrible start, I think they'll cut bait and flip him.
  20. This feels like Miami gives up a stupid amount for him then he signs with the Pats in the offseason.....
  21. Another guy, where if he went to Eastern Michigan no one would care about him. Did Carson Wentz or Josh Allen not playing SEC defenses stall their development?
  22. I’ll gladly eat crow on it, but the idea Shady and Zay could be the center piece of a trade for Clowney is utterly ridiculous.
  23. Watch Chad Kelly continue the line of Colts QBs.
  24. Twitter was blowing up about NFL trade winds blowing hard. Rumor was a shocking WR is available. Speculation is Mike Evans or AJ Green. Brown and Beasley are very nice complimentary pieces, but Josh and this offense desperately need a go to WR.
  25. The former scouts / crusty old NFL guys really liked Allen as a prospect. Because they are trained to look at what a guy can do, ie his arm strength, size and athleticism. The blog boys and "analytics experts" hated him because his college numbers said he couldn't work. I'll still contend if Allen were the QB for USC or Oklahoma or UCLA and Baker or Darnold or Rosen were the Wyoming QB, the hot take blog boys would have had very different opinions on him.
