  1. That's some thunder & lightning
  2. I hope Allen is the smoke screen. The Browns have also been linked to him. If we are moving to 3, pump Allen up, hope the Browns take him at 1, Barkley goes 2, the guy we want goes 3.
  3. I've heard several national guys readily admit the fans know more about the teams than they do. Not windbags like Polian or Casserly, but guys who have perspective.
  4. The guys on the "Around the NFL podcast" on NFLN, who are usually pretty smart, were ripping us because trading Cordy opened a gaping hole at LT.
  5. From what I've read, your battle is with grammar, not us.
  6. If we had the comp picks we wouldn't have so many roster spots to fill. I'm not sure he'll qualify as a comp pick FA. I really don't know the cutoff line.
  7. Maybe they know there won't be a QB at 6.....
  8. Would rather sign Eifert
  9. Would be curious to know the price tag on Eifert. Can't stay on the field, but could be a nice security blanket for a young QB.
  10. We have the cap space to sign anyone we want.
  11. Ian Rapoport‏Verified account @RapSheet Mar 12 More My sense on the #Eagles and QB Nick Foles: They do not want to trade him. For a 1st rounder, maybe. But with the uncertainty around Carson Wentz for the 2018 opener… they don’t want to trade Foles. Or, basically, what GM Howie Roseman has said publicly.
  12. Wentz is projected to be ready by the beginning of the season but may not. Foles is also a hero in Philly now. He'll be VERY cheap to keep as a backup after 2018, unless they feel obligated to do right by him and give him a chance to start somewhere. Even then, they aren't going to lower their price just because fewer team are bidding. The alternative to not trading him is potentially having the best backup in the league, for a guy coming off a torn ACL, and both combine for a very reasonable QB salary cap number. Some people have the wrong narrative. Foles is absolutely available to anyone who meets Philly's price. That does not mean Philly NEEDs to trade him.
  13. I would prefer someone younger (DaQuan Jones)
  14. There's going to be a lot more talent around him if he's selected 12th vs 2nd.
  15. $10 mil for Bradford + pick #65 >>>>>> $16 mil for Tyrod
  16. Jeez. I liked him, thought he would be an under the radar signing. Not at that price tag. Bears aren't messing around getting targets for Trub.
  17. News like this seems like it would already be discussed somewhere...
  18. When it was down to Minny & NYJ, one could assume it would be Minny unless the Jets did something absolutely crazy with money. Heck of a situation for Cousins to step into, could be a Peyton to Denver repeat, though Kirk is much younger than Peyton was.
  19. Star certainly seems like a "fit matters" guy, I could see him taking less money than would typically go to a day 1 FA if he believed the culture fit was right.
  20. I'm not debating that. Would love to keep him. But he's not 27 anymore, sometimes reality of performance needs to be taken into account vs sentimentality.
  21. That's not how PFF works, they watch the game tape and try to grade each player on each play.
  22. Kyle is a part time rotational player at this point. I'd like to have him back and he's a great leader for the team, but when it comes to on-field performance Star / KW / Adolphis still feels light on the inside. Suh would allow Star to focus on run stopping and help free up Hughes again. I hope we sign him.
  23. A guy who people think knows what he is talking about because he started talking first.
  24. I would be fine with Allen at 12, but if we move into the top 4 and he's the reason I'm going to be very nervous.
  25. The league is changing, QBs get the ball out too quick, the focus is moving more towards guys who can get immediate pressure up the middle. I'm not sure Star is really that type of player, but DTs aren't just a fill in position anymore.
