  1. McCarron + Pick #65 >>> Tyrod
  2. I agree But the way McBeane operates I wouldn't be shocked to see them trade him to the team that's saying goodbye to Barkley.
  3. Both the Giants and Colts want a RB.....
  4. Thank the maker!
  5. LOL That's ~3,500 points vs ~2,200 points for a move 9 spots down the draft, when the Colts aren't going to take QB and the best players available are likely a guard and a RB. If the Colts are sold on one of Barkley / Nelson / Chubb, they should take a move down with us and then give back some of the picks to move to ~7.
  6. The Rams and Eagles had their deals done to move up well before the draft. I really hope they don't push this thing out to draft night, too much can go wrong. The Browns take QB at one, the Giants decide to take an Eli heir afterall, the Dolphins or Jets offer a higher pick this year and two future 1sts to get to 3 or 4 and take a QB and the Broncos take one at 5. All the well placed intentions in the world don't matter when you've got 32 clubs acting independently in their own best interests.
  7. Cool. We'll be in awesome position to put Kellen Clemens over the barrel in negotiations.
  8. And I hope they've got it in place because they've left their baskside wide open.
  9. I would like to hope not, but 2 decades of being completely underwhelmed by the decision making at OBD, especially when it comes to QB, has left me with a completely earned healthy level of skepticism.
  10. That's fine. But they better have a deal in place to get a legitimate option in the draft, because Peterman / a Matt Moore level FA / unwarranted confidence on the ability to move up is pretty awful roster management.
  11. I don't buy a deal was locked up at the combine, unless Gettleman told Beane "you need to move up into the early teens and we've got a deal". The thing that angers me about not signing a vet FA option is it tanks leverage. It's one thing if we were to sign a Bridgewater / McCarron / Bradford etc and still shop to move up in the draft. Then we could semi-credibly tell teams "we aren't going to be destroyed on a trade, worst case we'll start this guy and take all the depth from our draft picks." It's something else when our options are Nathan Peterman and whoever might be available at 12 in the draft. I really want to hope we've got a deal in place for something, because watching any credible option sign elsewhere under the assumption we have enough ammo to move up without an agreement in place leaves us very open to be called on a bluff.
  12. Savage Opress?
  13. Every one that needed to be addressed before FA.
  14. As much as we need defensive front 7 help, if we take a young QB, I'd like to go all in on putting pieces around him. We need another OT, maybe even a long term center (Billy Price please), we've never had a big athletic pass catching TE, we need speed on the outside and a true compliment to Shady would be nice.
  15. For arguments sake, #12 / #22 / #56 / #65 is "worth" #2
  16. A big infusion of cheap young talent into an old expensive roster?
  17. #12 / #53 / #96 for #5 / Siemian #5 / #56 / #65 for #2 Then Beane trades #22 for an early 2nd / early 3rd, then the early 2nd for a late 2nd and late 3rd Ends up with #2 / ~#60 / ~#70 / #90 End result: Trades #21 / #22 / late 2nd / Tyrod / Cordy Glenn for #2

  19. They could just play Peterman and assure themselves of being in position to draft the top QB in 2019.
  20. Get up to 5 and then go up from there. The Giants or Colts might be MUCH more receptive to trading to 5 since they know they are likely walking out with Nelson or Chubb as worst case scenario. I just don't know I can believe Denver is comfortable with Keenum / Lynch / Osweiler / maybe later draft pick as their QB room. Pick #5 is basically "worth" #12 / #53 / #96, toss in Siemien here with a player going there (we could give them Richie and save $6 mil). Watch Beane really draft day this thing and get up to #2 without giving up #22 or any 2019 picks.
  21. It's about insurance. If the rookie (especially a highly drafted one) is worth his salt, the guy is going to take the job quickly, if not before the season. But having a vet there who's been there done that certainly helps a kid get his feet under him. Wentz-Daniel / Luck - Hasselbeck / Mariota - Cassel / Dak-Romo just to name a few.
  22. That is classic Bills, at least classic Ralph Wilson era Bills, setting a price they won't exceed and watching all the talent walk away.
  23. If they spent the savings to fill holes like Allen Robinson & Norwell or even lower down the pay scale like Richardson or Weston Richburg, sure I could embrace that type of scenario. But if all we get is Rafael Bush and a bunch of unused cap space, that's an awful plan.
  24. Classic Bills. Everything falls right to land one of the top FA options at a potential discount and the guy is going to be a backup in New England instead. I can’t wait for the barnburner QB battle between Matt Moore / Mason Rudolph / Nathan Peterman
