  1. Not everything has a price.
  2. If they truly missed out on the opportunity to get one of the QBs this year, I really hope they take every opportunity to trade for additional 2019 picks.
  3. I wonder if these teams just look at the Bills working him out and laugh.
  4. Fatal flaws. Going to quit because he's rich. We have too many holes. Blah Blah Blah.
  5. This is an amazing way to make a lot of enemies around here.
  6. I guess if you are going to have a terrible QB you need all the RBs you can get.
  7. Pretty simple, if the Giants decide there's a can't miss player, they either take him at 2 or trade down to 5. If they don't then I think they take all the picks we can give them.
  8. I've said before, but I don't believe we are anywhere near as desperate for a QB as the Browns / Jets / Broncos, probably even Dolphins or Cardinals. These guys traded off "established" talent for draft picks, let guys like Gilmore & Woods walk in FA and still made the playoffs. There has to be a certain amount of "walking on water" in the building.
  9. I just don't think you win the negotiation on a trade up for a QB. You win several times over if the QB actually hits, but when it comes to value on the trade, you are going to lose. If Beane is waiting this thing out in hopes of winning the negotiation, we aren't getting a top QB.
  10. I legitimately believe Beane thought he had plenty of time to play the Colts out holding the best cards, the Colts had been talking to the Jets for over a month and the Jets finally broke and gave them what they wanted (I wouldn't be surprised if they waited to have McCown / Bridgewater signed knowing being in QB position would hurt their bargaining power). Entirely possible Beane thought they were trying to play him, figured "yeah right they are actually going to trade now, they just want to bleed us more" and the Colts were done with it and moved.
  11. Good on you for keeping the faith. I think they thought the Colts would never trade the pick 6 weeks before the draft and were blindsided.
  12. Anywhere that gets Rosen, no matter what.
  13. Get the QB in place, there's some interesting FA WRs next year (Cooks, Josh Gordon, Stefon Diggs to start).
  14. The concern with Rosen is he's going to make a bunch of money and walk away, likely to the finance world. The concern with Baker is he's going to end up in a video on TMZ with some girl and "white powder" in a hotel room. Which would people really rather have as the face of the franchise?
  15. The thing of it is, most these anti-Rosen people really want Baker, who also has a concussion history. No one seems to want Allen, though he's had the same clavicle break that Romo and Rodgers have dealt with.
  16. I think the Browns are very enamored with the idea of walking out of the draft with their pick at QB and the #1 position player on their board. They have plenty of 2nd round picks already.
  17. QFT They signed Kareem Martin who is a scheme fit. I think this is much more “we got value we didn’t think we would get for JPP” vs “we are trading him to take Chubb”.
  18. #7 would have been a great spot to get to if the price wasn't too much. Then we could be telling the Giants with a straight face they are very likely looking at one of Barkley / Nelson / Chubb in a trade down. The supposed impediment of the Colts trade (the "elite" player argument) is still very much there.
  19. Or if the Buccaneers are willing to give up a 3r for JJP it's too bad we couldn't have done Hughes or Lawson & #12 for #7
  20. I keep hearing more and more plugged in guys saying there's a "Big 2" with the QB class this year, with Allen very intriguing as the #3 option, but clearly behind the other 2. I don't think McCarron was is a "bridge", I think that was just right place, right time, right price for us. I firmly believe the plan is drafting a guy who is going to be the day 1 starter.
