  1. I know there's still a month to the draft, but I'd have to believe this is a VERY big week in regards to a trade up.
  2. After we trade up to 2 for Rosen they'll have no choice.
  3. Letting Drew Brees visit New Orleans first.
  4. Mason Rudolph it is!
  5. Realistically for this exercise there's not much difference with David Johnson or the 2019 1st.
  6. 49ers should run to the podium...
  7. He hurt his wrist, not his knee
  8. I mean he's going to be very expensive very soon, but I think he's the 2nd best RB in the league. I guess they really want Baker.
  9. So #6 for #15 & David Johnson?
  10. After addressing pass rush through trade (JPP) and FA (Curry), gotta do something to help Jamies get back on track. Hoping for a Dallas / Jacksonville type turn around after taking a RB early.
  11. With the 5th Pick, the Buccaneers Officially Pick: Saquon Barkley, RB, Penn St. The Colts are now on the Clock
  12. Which would be ironic after what happened with McDaniels.
  13. That and the owners are committed to Eli, feel bad about the benching last year and aren't going to draft his immediate replacement.
  14. Honestly I don't see Gettleman or Dorsey passing up the picks they would be offered TO take a RB. The Panthers have taken RBs "high" with Stewart & McCaffery, but turning down a "QB" trade package at 2 to take a RB, yeesh. If they take a player I'd have to believe it's Chubb, with pass rushers being valued right behind QBs in the pecking order. As to the Browns, I really can't see them turning down the package, their RBs aren't bad and the guys running the team have just never taken a RB anywhere remotely near that level. Assuming Chubb is gone their BPA is Barkley / Nelson (guard is easily their best position) or a DB, who a comparable one could be available at 12. Assuming the Giants are off the table I'd have to see the trade points being Cleveland at 4 (to jump Denver) or Indy at 6 (if there's one QB left). If Denver passes on QB, there's certainly a case to let 2 of Rosen / Allen / Baker (whoever is left after Jets) slide down the board closer to 12, but you also run the risk of Arizona or someone else jumping up and still sitting behind Miami. Right. It's one thing to decide you aren't taking a QB. It's something else to turn down the picks you'll get offered from someone who does want a QB.
  15. Giants taking QB #2 is the only nightmare scenario. If they stay at 2 and don't go QB, that pushes QBs down the board, with the potential of one or two getting to the back half of the top 10, depending on Denver. If one or two gets into the Indy - Tampa - Chicago range the price on a move could be very reasonable.
  16. Darnold goes 1 Barkley or Chubb goes 2 Baker or Allen goes 3 Bills get a nice shiny Rosen at 4
  17. I'm really hopeful with the owners meetings Beane / Dorsey / Gettleman just lock themselves in a room and emerge with a 3 way swap that gives us #2, the Giants #4 to pick the top position player and the Browns enough picks to grease the wheels.
  18. If I were betting on it, I'm guess we have the framework of a deal for #4 in place with Cleveland, so we know worst case we are likely getting one of Rosen / Allen / Baker, whoever is left, but we are waiting on the Giants to do their evaluation and get back to us on #2. We've clearly talked to Cleveland this offseason with the Tyrod trade and supposedly about McCarron, so it seems there's a good working relationship there. Clearly Beane and Gettleman have a relationship. I think Cleveland would move out of #4, the guys running them have never ever valued RB that highly and they have Hyde / Duke. I think if the Giants pick comes open, we hold our nose and pay whatever they ask. If they don't move out, we trade up to #4 and get the QB left, unless Jackson or Rudolph does something to make us believe we can play it out longer.
  19. Phoenix could also just be "it's freaking cold in buffalo, lets take a moment to regroup and recharge"
  20. I will say, the attention we are putting into the QBs gives me hope there is a path to get up there (though Rosen having dinner with the Giants owners hurts that). It's very clear they are focused on the position above all else. I'd have to believe they aren't clueless enough to spend all their time on guys they have no prayer of getting.
  21. So basically one of these picks is going to be good and the other is going to be garbage.
  22. I wouldn't be shocked to see Miami take him at 11 if they can't get Baker. Personally, with our current depth chart at WR, I wouldn't mind taking him as our "QB of the future" but using him as a rookie in a WR / wildcat role.
  23. If you already agree to 3 1sts and a 2, the 3rd isn't going to be a sticking point.
