Cool story

Realistically if we walk out of the draft with one of the 4 top QBs and all we need to give up is 12 / 53 / 56 (and maybe getting back a ~4th), I'm VERY happy. If our QB hits and the Jets doesn't it's even better. It would be kind of funny to see the Colts pick 5 times in round 2 (plus again near the top of round 3).

I just want to get a trade up done so we can stop having threads about Mason Rudolph.

The Bright Side Concerning Peterman
Chuck Wagon replied to ProcessTheTrust's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was hoping you'd say "in a month all these Peterman truthers won't care about him anymore", but that works too. -
There's something to be said for moving down at getting more for the guy you are still going to take, but man does it feel cowardly coming from the Browns. It would be amazing if there's someone (Jets?) that really want Allen, the Browns trade with the Giants for a ~3rd round pick then the Giants turn around and flip pick #1 for way more and the Browns' guy gets picked right out from under them.

I just have the 2016 debacle scared in my memory.

I think we should just keep going until we finish 7 rounds or the real draft starts

Isn’t a September thursday night game at the Jets an annual tradition by this point?

Just because you have 12-14 picks on March ~31st doesn't mean you are drafting 12-14 players. They could maneuver all over the board. If all the QBs are going that early, it could push Jackson up the board (like in our Bills mock draft). At 12 you could still be looking at a blue chip position player. You could give up 22 / 2 2nds to potentially get back above 12 and take 2 blue chip position players. You can get a 2019 pick and begin setting yourself up for next year. There's good reasons to stay at 4 if there's a guy you like who you know will be gone. Having too many picks is not one of them.

Mort said the QBs are getting drafted Darnold / Allen / Baker / Rosen. I think Rosen and Wood Johnson are a legitimate clash of personalities, the Jets have always been about the headlines and Baker generates headlines. I just don't see the Browns taking Barkley. Just not what Dorsey & crew have ever done. They have 2 ok RBs plus it's a deep class at that position. Chubb is certainly in play, plugging him in with Garrett / Collins / Ogbah heats things up there VERY quick. Would love to see the Broncos play the Browns, convince them to trade 4 for 5 because they are going to take a QB, then take Chubb right out from under them to put opposite Miller. Again, it could be Columbus centric buzz, but I keep hearing the Browns love Ward. They could trade 4 to us for 12 and a package and still likely pretty easily get up from 12 to get Ward or Fitzpatrick.

Where's Mel Kiper to read a list of BPA off the screen when you need him?
