  1. "I'm stymied, I don't have avenue up for QB, everyone is going to be so mad, play it coo, play it cool, tell everyone how awesome #12 is, just keep repeating it."
  2. Realistically if we walk out of the draft with one of the 4 top QBs and all we need to give up is 12 / 53 / 56 (and maybe getting back a ~4th), I'm VERY happy. If our QB hits and the Jets doesn't it's even better. It would be kind of funny to see the Colts pick 5 times in round 2 (plus again near the top of round 3).
  3. Ugh. I just hate the idea of doing something mutually beneficial with the Colts right now.
  4. Right now we just need to get to #4 then take things from there.
  5. I just want to get a trade up done so we can stop having threads about Mason Rudolph.
  6. I was hoping you'd say "in a month all these Peterman truthers won't care about him anymore", but that works too.
  7. The whole point is the Giants want Darnold, so won't be trading him to us. Bottom line, Darnold isn't going to be a Bill. I think it's highly unlikely Allen is a Bill.
  8. Ain't that the truth. I'm a Buckeye fan who hates JT Barrett. I've had to see "stats" supporters claim he's good because he would shovel the ball to Jalin Marshall who would take it 60 yards to the house. All you see by looking at the numbers is "60 yard TD pass".
  9. If Allen played at Oklahoma, with their talent and coaching, I would have to believe the stats would say something VERY different than at Wyoming. If completion % is really hanging people up, circumstances come into play.
  10. I do thoroughly enjoy how people have decided Allen is just garbage who has no chance of success.
  11. There's something to be said for moving down at getting more for the guy you are still going to take, but man does it feel cowardly coming from the Browns. It would be amazing if there's someone (Jets?) that really want Allen, the Browns trade with the Giants for a ~3rd round pick then the Giants turn around and flip pick #1 for way more and the Browns' guy gets picked right out from under them.
  12. I just have the 2016 debacle scared in my memory.
  13. I think we should just keep going until we finish 7 rounds or the real draft starts
  14. Isn’t a September thursday night game at the Jets an annual tradition by this point?
  15. There’s at least 3 maybe more DL coming in next year who would very likely go above Chubb.
  16. Couch - McNabb - Akili Smith went 1-2-3, people weren't sure if McNabb could even throw in the NFL and Smith was a 1 year wonder.
  17. Just because you have 12-14 picks on March ~31st doesn't mean you are drafting 12-14 players. They could maneuver all over the board. If all the QBs are going that early, it could push Jackson up the board (like in our Bills mock draft). At 12 you could still be looking at a blue chip position player. You could give up 22 / 2 2nds to potentially get back above 12 and take 2 blue chip position players. You can get a 2019 pick and begin setting yourself up for next year. There's good reasons to stay at 4 if there's a guy you like who you know will be gone. Having too many picks is not one of them.
  18. Honestly I think it's more likely that 5 QBs including Jackson are gone before pick 12 than only 3 QBs of the board. Good news, if that happens, Beane will be right, there's going to be a VERY good prospect pushed to 12, someone who would have been gone long before 21.
  19. If Beane and co have anywhere near the same assessment, they need to be doing everything in their power to get up to 4 right now.
  20. Mort said the QBs are getting drafted Darnold / Allen / Baker / Rosen. I think Rosen and Wood Johnson are a legitimate clash of personalities, the Jets have always been about the headlines and Baker generates headlines. I just don't see the Browns taking Barkley. Just not what Dorsey & crew have ever done. They have 2 ok RBs plus it's a deep class at that position. Chubb is certainly in play, plugging him in with Garrett / Collins / Ogbah heats things up there VERY quick. Would love to see the Broncos play the Browns, convince them to trade 4 for 5 because they are going to take a QB, then take Chubb right out from under them to put opposite Miller. Again, it could be Columbus centric buzz, but I keep hearing the Browns love Ward. They could trade 4 to us for 12 and a package and still likely pretty easily get up from 12 to get Ward or Fitzpatrick.
  21. Where's Mel Kiper to read a list of BPA off the screen when you need him?
