  1. Why say this before the pick if you weren't (or aren't) trying to trade the pick?
  2. I'm prepared for it. All we can do is "Trust". I guess. I would rather have Rosen.
  3. Trade #1 to Bills for Darnold. Take whichever one of Baker or Allen is left at 4.
  4. I would much prefer Rosen, but lets not pretend the guy gets 4-5 more hits to the head, more information comes out about head trauma in football and he hangs it up at 27 is not a real possibility.
  5. It's obvious there's a huge sway between what teams see and what fans see with Allen. Baker is never going to grow 4 inches. Rosen is likely going to need protected with a higher risk of injury. Allen profiles as a big rugged QB who'll be on the field and who has the arm to make plays down field like Luke / Cam / Big Ben. Frankly for me it comes down to the price I need to pay. If It's just #12 and two picks between 53-65, I pay that price to get any of the "Big 4". That leaves us with pick 22 for an impact defensive player or legitimate prospect on our OL and still with picks in each round remaining.
  6. Giving up 12 / 53 / 56 / 96 for 5 or 6 to land one of the QBs (preferably Rosen) would be ideal. One team has 15 players as 1st rounders / I've heard 18, it doesn't take much for a "1st round grade" to be there at 22.
  7. Predict who will go with the first 5 picks (1 point for every correct player, 2 points for player and team) 1. Sam Darnold - Bills 2. Saquon Barkley - Giants 3. Bradley Chubb - Jets 4. Baker Mayfield - Browns 5 .Josh Allen - Cardinals 6. How many trades will occur during the first round? - 6 7. How many quarterbacks will go in the first round? - 6 8. Of the Big 4 QB’s, who will be the last one drafted? - Rosen 9. Which LB will get drafted first? - Roquan 10. Which player in attendance will fall out of the first round (1 point for every correct answer. Minus 1 point for each incorrect) 11. Will the Bills make a trade in the first round? If yes, with who and to where? (1 point for each correct answer) Browns to #1 12. Who will the Bills take with their first pick? Sam Darnold 13. Will the Patriots trade up? Yes 14. Who will the Patriots take with their first round pick? Lamar Jackson 15. Who will the Dolphins take with their first round pick? Vita Vea Tie Break Question: Name 5 players the Bills will draft (most correct wins the tie-break if it occurs) Sam Darnold
  8. Darnold goes 1 Giants trade out of 2 to the Bills. Bills trade #2 + more to the Browns for Darnold Browns take Baker or Allen at 2.
  9. I think they either trade 12 / 22 / 2019 1st / 53 / 56 for Darnold, or they trade 12 / 53 / 56 / 65 for a pick between 4-6 to get one of Allen / Baker / Rosen. I do wonder if they've downgraded Baker and/or Rosen due to a potential personality clash, which could also upgrade Darnold / Allen. I also wouldn't be shocked to learn we have Lamar inside our top 4 or even 3. Basically I believe if the opportunity is there to get the one guy they believe in, they'll go all out to make it happen, otherwise I trust they'll be prudent in the price they pay to move.
  10. I think Darnold is the only one they would give pick 22 or the 2019 1st up to get. I think outside of him they would likely offer 12 / 2 out of 53-65 / maybe toss in a 2019 3rd/4th. That's worth a little more than pick 5 and a little less than 4. Offer it to 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 as long as one of the top 4 is on the board, with all 3 picks between 53-65 plus 12 the most I'd give.
  11. The Giants could walk out of the draft with Chubb or Barkley. Or they could take 12 / 22 / 2 picks between 53-65 / 2019 Bills 1st. They could offer 22 along with some of the 4 picks between 53-69 (already own 66 & 69) to move up and get 2 out of the Ward / James / Smith / Edmonds / Vea / Fitzpatrick / Davenport / McGlinchy / (maybe even Nelson) group. Then take Michel or Guice at 34 AND have the Bills 2019 1st. You only turn that down if you are taking QB too.
  12. I believe Cleveland is legit split on who to take, is prepping the fanbase on a potentially controversial deal by floating each name. They've floated Darnold / Allen / Baker, now have set it up that even if it's Rosen you spin it as "he was the one we wanted to keep quiet". If the Bills can get 5, they can sell the Browns on getting two of the guys they are getting at 1 and 4 anyway, along with whatever extra picks they toss in. If you are fine with several QBs, it's something to consider. I think the Giants are just taking Darnold if he's there, and Darnold is the only guy we'll give up a bunch to get, which requires jumping the Giants. Otherwise I think Beane is content letting things play out potentially with the other 4 (Jackson included) and seeing when the price is right on each guy. Right. Cleveland takes Darnold at 1, then if a QB they are fine with falls to 4, they auction Darnold off to the highest bidder.
  13. I think we are targeting 1. If Denver is willing to sell #5, there's no reason we can't package 5 and other picks to go to 1, allow Cleveland Mayfield or Allen (or Rosen as a worst case) and Chubb or Barkley. Heck, if they don't like the 4th QB if the Giants go QB or trade, they can just take Chubb and Barkley, then draft one of the later QBs. I think we've decided #1 (Darnold) is #1 by a margin and are willing to give it up to make it happen.
  14. Cleveland is trying to create the narrative all the QBs are roughly equal so they can trade out of 1. If the Bills can get to 5 without giving up the 2019 1st, why can't go to #1 with 5 / 2019 1st / other picks between 22-65? Browns take one of Allen / Baker at 4 and Chubb at 5 while picking up a future Bills 1 plus another pick or two.
  15. I think the Browns take Darnold 1. 2 is Barkley 3 is Baker 4 comes up and a trade flashes. Bills trade for Darnold. Browns get 5 / 22 / 65 / 2019 Bills 1st, Broncos get 12 / 53 / 56. Browns take Allen 4 and Chubb 5.
  16. Take one of Roquan / Edmonds / Ward / James / Fitzpatrick at 12. Trade 22 & one of the seconds to get a second guy out of that group. Walk out of day 1 adding 2 “blue chip” defensive talents for McD’s D. Take one of Lauletta / White / Falk later in the draft. Use the rest of our picks to fill “holes” in the offense and LBs.
  17. As a Bills fan, I fully expect someone like the Cardinals to move in front of us and get Rosen for just 1 2nd rounder, while we take a DB at 12 and Rudolph at 22.
  18. I think the Giants are holding out for Beane to put everything on the table. 3 1st round picks, 3 picks between 53-65. Beane is waiting to see who it's for before he lays out his cards.
  19. It's a fine line you need to get the #5 pick and out bid several teams, but you want to hold on to enough to get to #2 if that's an option. I can see Arizona or Miami putting up a next year 1st to beat any of our offers, which could force our hand there. The Jets showed, the rest of the league also isn't going to sit back and allow us to patiently work a deal for one of the QBs.
  20. If there's anything in the ball park of realistic you have to get the wheels turning on this. Hopefully it's already close to the finish line if things are leaking but it's silly season.
  21. Just go to 4 and get one of Rosen or Mayfield. Everything else is a failure, though Allen at 12 would feel salvageable.
  22. Browns take Darnold #1 Barkley goes #2 Rosen or Baker for NYJ at 3 Browns take Allen #4 Mass Hysteria! Pick 5: Trade announced: Bills trade #12 / #22 / #53 / #56 / 2019 1st Bills get: Sam Darnold Browns trade Darnold Browns get: #5 / #22 / #53 / 2019 Bills first Broncos trade #5 Broncos get #12 / #56 / #65 Browns take Chubb #5 The Browns get the same players they could potentially take at 1 and 4 and add #22 / #53 / 2019 Bills 1st We get Darnold
  23. IMO people are reading the Chad Forbes tweet wrong. He’s saying trade down, then back up. Ie Giants trade 2 to 12 then back to 6 or 7. I think that move would be a lot cheaper for them then us doing the work. Right now you’ve potentially got Miami / Buffalo / Arizona / etc jockeying for position on a QB. But if we go to 2, that could dry the QB market up for 6/7, giving a lot less competition on a trade package back up.
  24. I get the feeling we are the prettiest girl at the dance (most draft picks) and we just became newly single (QB desperate). We are hoping and waiting for the Giants to trade, meanwhile Denver wants some action (publicly putting pick 5 up) and Cleveland does too (floating they may take 2 QBs)
  25. 1-7 start could very well be in play. If they can somehow get through those first 8 games around .500, a big run is possible.
