HERE WE GO! GIANTS looking to TRADE DOWN
Chuck Wagon replied to K D's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He literally just said yesterday he sees 1 franchise guy above the rest and can trade to 2 without giving up picks next year. As long as Baker wasn't that one guy, he's probably had something agreed to in principle with the Giants for a bit of time. -

Right. To get to this point, with every pick rumored to be for sale and holding the most capital, to walk out without a legitimate QB prospect would be a disaster. -

The Broncos / Browns / Colts would love to be in on a deal for us going to 2. Sell the Giants on getting the same guy while picking up some residual picks for a Bills overpay and still getting a similar level prospect at 12. IMO the real question is if the Giants want that middle man or if they just want all the picks from the Bills. Absent someone like Denver offering #5 / 2019 1st / other picks, I have to believe we are in the drivers seat for this pick, it's just ironing out the details. -

You think the Giants, Browns (after getting shut out on Jimmy G), Elway or the Colts want to help the Pats find their next franchise QB? Heck, these teams could just be selling these picks to teams to take all the QBs from the Pats for all we know. -

Teams have known what other teams have for months. This isn't some wide open auction. This is down to a few teams unless Beane has already just put down the best hand. Realistically 12 / 22/ 2019 1st / 56 / 97 Something like that isn't going to be beat by anyone. With 2 / 4 / 5 / 6 up for sale, the Giants can feel comfortable moving back to 12 and still being in position to get back up if they want 1 certain guy. -

I've been saying it for a little while. All these picks, we are the prettiest girl in the room. -

Beane and Pegula went to Cleveland last night to shake the Browns pick out of them. Browns go Baker Beane & Gettleman know exactly what they are bargaining over. Bills trade to #2, take Darnold -
Browns Take Mayfield at #1

Simply put, no one in the league can beat 12 / 22 / 2019 1st / 2 out of 53-56 You've come this far, if #2 is on the table and your guy is there, make it happen. -

Can't risk it. If the Giants are willing to trade the pick, we aren't the only ones who'll go after it. You have all this capital for this moment. Walk out with your guy and build your franchise. Just really shudder if it's Allen over Darnold and Rosen. -

The Pegula jet didn't go to Cleveland just for the Cavs game, though a convenient cover that may be. -

Best case scenario IMO. Especially if we hold on to the 2019 1st and 22. It's going to be stressful waiting it out tonight. -

I think we deal to 4 to get to 2. Giants take Barkley at 4, the same player they want at 2 while getting draft picks. -

Bills trade up to #2. Giants use #12 and other picks to get back up and get one of Chubb / Barkley / Nelson after getting getting 5 or 6 picks from the Bills. -

I think the Baker instragram last night tipped the pick. If Schefter is reporting it, that’s where I believe. Darnold goes #2. Is he a Giant or is he a Bill? -
Move the Cavs to Buffalo and give Columbus a NBA team!

I think the Browns / Broncos / Colts maybe even the Giants have been looking at all these picks in the Bills possession longingly for a while now. While the Bills certainly have a level of pressure to get the QB, the depth at the top of the position gives them a unique opportunity. Personally I think it’s much more likely the Browns / Broncos / Colts etc are competiting to be the ones to get the Bills picks not the Bills begging one of them to move out. I believe we are going up to 1 for our guy (Darnold).

Jeff Darlington talks draft with Brandon Beane
Chuck Wagon replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was in a fantasy football league with Dan (and other industry people). I won and wasn't invited back. Anywhoo I follow Dan rather closely. he's a huge Rosen fan and has been pumping him up since day 1. His thoughts about Rosen and the Giants is nothing more than reading tea leaves, he's very against a move down or Barkley, I'd take anything he says with a grain of salt. -
Interesting Take From QB Guru on Allen
Chuck Wagon replied to Da webster guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Palmer has been pumping up Allen the whole process. He worked with both Darnold and Allen this year extensively. Teams are a lot higher on Allen than fans. -
Making the case for Lamar Jackson
Chuck Wagon replied to 502Buffs's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I legit believe it would be viewed as the "Big 5" if Lamar had hired an agent. I would not be surprised and almost expect him to be the 4th, if not 3rd QB off the board.
