  1. That's pretty much where I am. I certainly don't cheer for them, but I don't get upset when they have positive results.
  2. I know it makes me a bad Bills fan, but I don't really hate the Pats. They were entirely irrelevant when we were good, then we've been irrelevant the entirety of the time they've been good. If we hadn't been shooting ourselves in the foot for the last 18 years, then sure, I'm sure I would hate them plenty, but it's tough to hate them too much when we haven't ever put ourselves in position to succeed.
  3. If they don't get that Jets game, that could be some old beer by the time it's opened.
  4. WR seems to be the position that takes a moment to "get it" at the NFL level, especially a guy like Coleman who ran a very limited route tree at Baylor. We are "building the basketball team" we did not have someone with Coleman's upside/skill set. I think it's a great gamble at the price.
  5. Roethlisberger has had a fork in his back for a while now. Frankly with all the skill talent they have, he's the one holding them back.
  6. I wouldn't say they are poaching talent, more like they are collecting guys that got let go because ESPN is more concerned about twitter and highlights vs sports writing. But I've been a subscriber for ~8 months and it's worth it.
  7. I'd like it a lot better if the Zay Jones part was Ju Ju Smith-Schuster, Dalvin Cook or Alvin Kamara.
  8. "I'm playing for a contract, so now I'm going to try"
  9. 3 times in the last ~10 NFL seasons a wildcard team has made the AFC playoffs at 9-7. We didn't win tiebreakers because we beat Baltimore H2H, we won them because Baltimore had a 0-16 Cleveland team in their division, which has happened 1 other time. You may not consider it luck, but circumstances out of the ordinary certainly aligned to put us in the playoffs.
  10. So here's my question. If a team is down 4-5 points and running down the sideline in a similar fashion, but someone comes off the sideline and tackles him, what happens? An automatic touchdown? A 15 yard penalty from the spot and an un-timed down?
  11. The moment we are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, I want to see them lose every game. I've felt the same way every year and no different this year.
  12. Bingo. The slog games have become with commercials and replay review, and the quality of the teams playing (especially in prime time) and the experience of Redzone have A LOT more to do with declining ratings than whoever is kneeling during the anthem. If players kneeling during the anthem was legitimately driving down television broadcasts the networks could very easily just not show those players and no one at home would know.
  13. Not dealing up for Big Ben only to trade back up and get losman. Trading up and taking TJ Graham over Russell Wilson. Maddest I’ve been at the team. Allen over Rosen is something I’ve been conditioned to expect. Hope I’m wrong.
  14. A large portion of the national media has decided Allen is already a bust. IMO there seems to be a pretty clear dividing line, a large portion of those in the scouting community or former players are enamored with Allen's potential. A large portion of those who only write for a living who've never done any sort of scouting or really been in a locker room have decided he's a sure bust.
  15. Absolutely. That's about the best way to say it. There's a strong chance we get some dreadful QB play this year. But an argument can be made this is the best "QB Situation" we've had in ~20 years.
  16. I guess I'm the only one, but I would trade White for Chubb. Pass rusher > CB.
  17. The good news is Zay Jones will likely be really good in 4 years when he goes to some random team out West.
  18. Seems like Josh Rosen might be better suited for an offense that requires quick processing and accuracy on short routes. Just saying...
  19. No, your reading comprehension was wrong.
  20. Why am I not surprised at your inability to look at stats in context? The majority of his stats were compiled against Vanderbilt, Tennessee and Mercer in mop up duty. I understand he won the game against Georgia (after another apparent top 25 guy looked like he had money on the Dogs) but that was also his lowest completion % (apparently the only thing that matters according to draft experts) and passer rating against Georgia. I get it. 5 star kid, looks the part, I just think it's funny the sporting news decided he's #2 based on 1 half of competitive football.
  21. So the 2nd best QB in college football has thrown 24 passes that matter in his career? I understand there's no bigger stage, but either there's some major recency bias at work here or the state of college football QBs is really really bad.
  22. I'm a fan of Josh Allen (now) I am not a fan of the selection of him over Josh Rosen
  23. I would imagine the idea is since we are going with a young and/or inexperienced QB, they want a vet RB in the backfield with him. At least I hope that's what they are thinking as I too prefer younger RBs.
  24. I'd say I'm more confused about someone paying Adam Stites money to write about sports than I am about McBeane's (pretty clear) plan.
