I don't think this team wins a game before December.

The Seahawks, Eagles and now maybe Rams and potentially Bears have shown a path to Super Bowl contention. Get a passable QB on a rookie deal, use the cap savings to build a loaded roster around him. If we add someone like Nick Bosa or Ed Oliver, we should be very cheap and potentially good at QB / LT / pass rusher / MLB / CB. Clearing out the dead cap this year “should” allow the team to be major players in FA and quickly build the talent level of the roster. Our best hope is that’s the plan.

If Allen is the guy now, Shady is his only chance at not having a complete trainwreck start to his career.

Realistically the only question I have on this team: Are we this bad on purpose, or is McBeane that bad at their jobs?

When you send a conga line of talented players out of town because they don’t have 100% buy in on your “process”, sinking your cap with dead money as a result, you end up sucking. The only hope we can have on this season is the lack of skill talent and offensive line talent doesn’t cause irreparable harm to Allen’s development.

For a guy who has ties to Buffalo, I would have done that all day. I think Gruden is going to run the Raiders into the ground, that 2020 pick swap could only be moving down ~15 spots.

The talent drain that was implemented by McBeane when they took over has caught up to them. The good news, hitting on elite blue chip players with cheap contracts high in the draft and opening up gobs of cap space to add good FAs around a QB on a rookie deal is the best way to have a title window in the current league. The bad news is we've reached a "bottoming out" year.

I've been all on the "start Allen' train, but after seeing this oline operate the last couple of weeks, go with Peterman.

I don't think there has been a prospect in history more arm chair "analysts" were on out without actually watching than Allen. It would be fitting if the Bills long journey in the franchise QB wilderness was answered by a QB from the middle of nowhere the group think mob counted out before he even got an opportunity. Also, hire Jordan Palmer as QB coach already.

Only in Cleveland do they call timeouts to try to win a preseason game and risk injury.

Going to be some very easy cuts on this team.

Browns whole organization is built on peddling false hope. When you’ve had the clown show they’ve had at QB, Tyrod looks like water in the desert.

I was just thinking the same thing. After the first drive they were acting like the Browns were super bowl bound and stole Tyrod from us. The reality of “the Browns” seems to be setting in.

They still have their starters in and Williams is sending blitzes like its the Super Bowl

The variance in the Browns this year seems massive. I can see Myles Garrett being a beast, Tyrod doing his Tyrod thing not actively losing games and just enough weapons on the offense to put out a 10 win season. I could also see one of Haley or Williams getting into an actual fight with Hue, stories about the offense vs defense coming out constantly as they scuffle along to a 2 win year.

I hope Allen wins it by a mile. If he's not clearly better than Peterman or McCarron, it starts to make me pretty nervous about his future, baring the very unlikely circumstance we've got 3 "franchise QBs" on the roster.
