Steelers listening to trade offers for Leveon Bell
Chuck Wagon replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Like Ron Dayne? Michael Bennett? Montee Ball? Terrell Fletcher? For all the buzz, Wisconsin has produced 1 good RB (Gordon) and 1 good 3rd down back (White) and a string of busts. -
The Young Guns Have Arrived in the NFL !!

I think there's plenty of room for middle ground on Allen. His physicality and arm strength have the potential to keep him as a NFL starter even if he doesn't round off some of the accuracy issues. He could easily be a rich man's version of Bortles, where some days he's brilliant and some he gets you beat, but just good enough it's hard to find a replacement but just bad enough you don't think he can take you all the way. Some of these other guys like Rosen and Trub just don't physically bring to the table what Allen does. I don't think Allen is near the boom / bust projection some in the media has presented. -
NFL TV Schedule and Maps: Week 4, 2018

Seeing Browns vs Raiders gives me PTSD to pre Red Zone days, I vividly remember missing Brady vs Peyton games because the 2-14 Browns were playing the 4-12 Raiders in my coverage window. -
Would you rather have: Mahomes or both Allen & Tre?

I'm not insulting you. You just have no idea what you are talking about. -

With all due respect, it doesn't seem like you've watched the Chiefs or Mahomes at all. The guy is throwing lasers all over the field, it's not just a stacked team, his arm has defenses scrambling and blowing coverages. Watch the TD scramble / throw against KC, he might be the only QB in the NFL who can make that play. The offense around him certainly helps, but to pretend the guy is just throwing screen passes to Tyreke Hill and watching him do all the work scream you are completely ignorant on the subject. -

I think they'll deal him. A team can pay him over the franchise level this year. I think he'll get traded to someone who'll bring him in above the franchise tag number as part of a wink wink agreement on an extension. -
Josh Allen Nominated for Rookie of the Week

It's a popularity contest, it'll be Baker in a landslide. -
I never understood some of the comparisons Allen got through the whole process. I saw plenty of Jamarcus Russell and Ryan Leaf comps. Personality wise Allen doesn't seem to be from the same planet as those type of guys. From everything I've seen on Allen he's a down to earth gym rat. Play style he looks to be in the Cam / Big Ben mold, neither guy has pinpoint accuracy, but they both possess the ability to keep the play alive and arm to make plays downfield. As for Cutler - Rosen, it doesn't take a wild imagination to see Rosen as a spoiled brat.

Dorsey needs to get Tyrod out of town asap. Hue is going to figure out a way to mess this up. -
I'm elated we got the win. I don't want to join the Browns and Lions in the 0-16 club. That being said, I'm pretty realistic about where the talent level currently stands, adding a guy like Bosa or Oliver to the young talent we already have with the mountain of cap space we'll have this winter sounds a lot more appealing than another 6-10, pick 9th type of season, of which there were far too many in the drought.

I know. And we don't present a "Super Bowl" contender chance to sway him. Just sad to see him finish his career on that team. Also. Fantasy Football....

I want him to have a legit chance at the SB, but Larry Fitz could be available at a reasonable price if the Cardinals have any sense at all. Give them Benjamin and a draft pick swap.
