Who's the worst team in the league now ?
Chuck Wagon replied to 1st&ten's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Raiders / Cardinals / Jets / Giants / Bills / Lions / Bucs / Browns / Broncos / Jags / 49ers All suck. Not much point in arguing degrees. -
The gap between the haves and have-nots is growing wider

We can't even complete a pass 10 yards down the field and the league is rigging games against us? Give me a break.... -
(hypothetical) Alabama vs. Bills spread
Chuck Wagon replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not going to lie, it really makes me angry the Bills are the laughing stock of the league. The Raiders have completely quit 8 games into Gruden's tenure. Eli looks near as bad as Peterman and that's with Odell. The Cardinals would be winless if it weren't for the 49ers, who would be winless after Jimmy G. went down if it wasn't for the Raiders. The Lions look like they've quit, same with the Browns. -
If you think Leach has built his career on winning games against over matched cupcakes, you aren't paying attention. The NFL is moving more and more towards the air raid offense. I think Leach would be a very interesting option in this NFL climate.

This point exactly. The best teams in the league are playing a completely different game than we are. A "good punt" doesn't exist in that world. However, it kind of tough to judge McDermott's riskiness. It's one thing to line up for a yard or two when you've got Kamara / Gurley / Thomas / the Rams WRs. It's something else when you've got our motley crew. Currently the book on McDermott is 1) he's done a tremendous job getting guys lacking talent to play very hard, but 2) he bares a lot of the blame for a roster filled with guys lacking talent.

I think it would be more entertaining for sure. But the Chiefs can't stop a nose bleed and they are 8-1. The Falcons D was brutal in 2016 and they went to the Super Bowl. Offenses like that can easily make up for mistakes, on the flip side when you are a good D / terrible O team you need the game script to go exactly right.

WHO DESERVES THE BLAME?? THE PEGULAS!

I appreciate seeing people still getting mad. I moved into apathy a long time ago. -
He's not coming back this year. At this point it would be stupid for him to come back. He's not going back to a "bell cow" role the way Conner has played and if he did get hurt this year he's out the ~$10 mil he'll have lost in this year salary, plus his future deal. He'll sit out the whole year and dare the Steelers to tag him again.

Look at the bright side of all this

2. We've won 2 games this year. It can get worse.... -
Defense has been prone to giving up big plays, but we aren't exactly equipped to take advantage of that. Robinson missed the Jets game, not sure if he'll be back. I don't have high hopes.

Checks are still clearing, no?
