  1. I get it, and I agree. I know NE is a "division rival", but there's people drinking legally now who have zero memory of an actual relevant Bills game. I don't see NE as any different than being annoyed about Denver or Tennessee going to the SB every single year while we are garbage. Now, if we were truly losing the division to the Pats and getting eliminated by them in the playoffs, then yes, I would truly hate them. But they were irrelevant when we were good, now we are irrelevant, despite the division it's like 2 ships passing in the night.
  2. Arizona isn't taking Murray. That was a college coach saying something nice about an opponent last fall and getting blown out of proportion the moment he was hired. Tampa also isn't taking QB early, they brought Arians in to work with Jamies in a vertical offense, which should fit his skill set. There's speculation here locally the Bengals may be looking at a QB too, Dalton's contract is coming up and the team has all but officially hired Zac Taylor as their new coach, who has worked with Tannehill in the past. The Cincy sports guy on the radio this morning was saying there's some real feelings on trading Dalton now when they can, bring in Tanny has a FA and draft the QB of the future. Oakland / Gruden I wouldn't rule out from doing anything. Denver / NYG / Miami / Jacksonville / Washington are all certainly in play, though there's speculation of Denver trading for Nick Mullens from San Fran after they hired San Fran's QB coach as their OC.
  3. Nah, want that tiny QB to be gone and want the Redskins to freak out and overpay for Blaine Gabbert 2.0 or homeless man's version of Matt Ryan from Duke.
  4. I think Washington is our best possible trade partner. 1) It allows us to move down and accumulate assets while still being in potential blue chip territory and 2) it would mean multiple QBs are gone before we pick. If the Giants or Jags are sold on Haskins or Murray, I have a real hard time believing they won't move up to 1 or 2. The Cardinals basically said the pick is on the block the moment the season ended, they need a lot and they know it. But if Washington (or even Miami, though a in division trade seems less likely) wants to get Haskins / Murray, they might run into what we were rumored to be up against last year with the Giants, ie a team at the top not wanting to go all the way down to 15, which could allow us to be an intermediary. IMO best case scenario is Haskins / Murray go top 7, Washington moves with us at 9 to get Lock or Jones. Denver or Miami take whoever is left. We pick at 15, pick up either a 2nd or a 1st next year with 4 of the first 14 picks being QBs. That potentially leaves us looking at someone like Oliver / Jonah Williams / Devin White etc at 15.
  5. I see the Redskins as potentially the most likely trade partner. If the Raiders want a QB, the sensible thing to do is just pick him at #4, unless Jags / Giants move in front of them. The rumor today was the Redskins have begun talking to teams about moving in front of Denver to get a QB. Moving to 15, with Haskins / Murray / Lock / Jones all off the board by the time we hit the clock would be best case scenario IMO.
  6. I'm sure Richie wasn't the only one (especially with Pouncey in the same locker room), just the loudest / most frequent. I don't see how a few 6'~6" 315 lbs guys ganging up on another 6'6" 315 pound guy is any different than a group of 5'6" 135 lbs guys ganging up on one 5'6" 135 lbs guy. But yes, I agree with you that Martin certainly has his own demons and various degrees of "bullying" (not to minimize bullying, but one person's "joking around" is another's bullying) typically happens with any group of young guys.
  7. I'm in a no lose situation. If the Chiefs win, the Pats lose. If the Pats win, I have a little money on them.
  8. Man. Something hearing Musburger again. I know he's the Raiders radio guy but for a large portion of my life he's been one of THE voices on football.
  9. You can make a lot of money in the coaching racket just by knowing the right guys at the right time. I firmly believe there are better OCs miring away at the FCS level than Hackett. It's more who you know than what you know.
  10. I would like to see the Pats and Saints win, because, rea$on$
  11. I thought he retired last year
  12. Sure. If you ignore the top 4 teams that all moved on to the conference finals and 3 of which racked up points pretty easily, you can make an argument for defense. But what happened opening weekend is pretty irrelevant when the Colts / Cowboys / Chargers showed they can't keep up and the Eagles gave up a 14-0 lead.
  13. Do the Cleveland move. Taking Jones or Lock if they are available in round 2 doesn't close the door on taking the #1 QB next year.
  14. Right. The ESPN guy is a moron. That's not what we gave up. We still could have Mahomes / White / Edmunds. An argument can be made we more realistically traded Allen + Zay for Mahomes + 3 picks in 2018 2/3rd rounds. Which realistically makes it WAY worse for us.
  15. It's more like Allen + Zay for Mahomes + 2018 pick #53 / #56 / #65......
  16. That makes it look passable for what we got. An argument can be made this is much closer to reality: A) Mahomes / White / Edmunds / 2018 pick #53, #56, #65 B) Allen / Edmunds / White / Zay Zay went 10 picks after White, who we clearly had higher on our board since we took him 1st, so you potentially could have gotten Mahomes AND White out of that draft. This past year we could have made the same Cordy + pick #21 for pick #12 trade and gotten Edmunds.
  17. They could take Murray #1 then trade Rosen to the Steelers for AB to replace Larry.
  18. If the Cardinals take Murray #1 overall, they truly are the new Browns.
  19. I can't help but feel like one of LaFleur, Kingsbury, Kitchens is going to be the next "McVey" and the other ones are going to be a complete dumpster fire, and I don't know which it will be (but in fairness, I'm not sure the teams do either).
  20. I hate the Cowboys, Giants, Redskins, Browns, Dolphins, Jets, Pats, Titans. IE the division teams and teams that have provided particularly painful playoff memories. Most everyone else I'm "Switzerland" and my rooting interests are heavily influenced by fantasy football.
  21. No, but I think MLB Opening Day should be. Call it "Spring Day" or something, but nationally it should be a recognition of surviving another winter and everyone should have the day off.
  22. Don't forget "if you've been in the same room as Sean McVey at some point in time".
  23. Jacksonville is too screwed on the cap to go for any big time FA signing. I think they either make a move for Haskins or if the Eagles are actually entertaining Foles over Wentz the Jags should give them a godfather offer for Wentz. I tend to believe the Eagles are going to keep both Wentz and Foles to buy some time on making a decision, unless Foles wins another SB. I think the Giants run Eli back, I just expect someone else to be more aggressive on getting Haskins than them. Miami - Bridgewater makes a lot of sense, he's a local kid and IMO the one guy on the market teams could talk themselves into as a long term solution. Washington - Tannehill or Flacco, a short term "opportunity" deal makes a lot of sense for Washington and either of them, given their status in the market and Smith's uncertainty. Baltimore - Tyrod as a guy with somewhat a similar style to Jackson and a guy they know, although I could see him wanting to go somewhere like Denver with a better chance at winning the job.
  24. Using the Bills in that scenario was always dumb. It's pretty clear all the talk about us being the worst team in the league was way off base.
