  1. Thursday night matchups were better than Monday night matchups last year...
  2. Chiefs at Pats screams opening game of the season. Dallas @ NE / Pit @ NE other options (or if you are the homer local radio guy here in Columbus, Browns @ Pats)
  3. The Cleveland game has Thursday night written all over it.
  4. You are never going to convince me the NFL is fixing games in favor of the team that has given the league more black eyes in regards to cheating "scandals" than the rest of the league combined.
  5. Gurley was a beast his rookie year for Fisher. Year 2 their best WRs were Kenny Britt and Brian Quick with a rookie QB, he was facing stacked boxes all year.
  6. Gilmore making a Super Bowl deciding play for the Pats and us sitting on a pile of cap space is franchise malpractice by McBeane.
  7. Could not agree more. It's one thing to drop from 9 to 15 where we very likely are still getting a "blue", especially if several QBs go early. But it's going to take A LOT in my mind to go from 9 to ~25.
  8. I don't get the love on Herbert. I just see a way worse version of Josh Allen with P5 shine on him. But I also firmly believe if Josh were at Oklahoma he would have been the #1 pick without question and Baker at Wyoming would have been a borderline 1st rounder.
  9. Yes. KC had the best offense, and defense was their demise, in the AFC title game, in OT. Top 4 scoring teams were Chiefs / Rams / Saints / Pats..... Top 5 defenses between various metrics were: Ravens / Bears / Bills / Vikings / Jags. 0-2 in the playoffs in that whole group. In today's nfl, answer is top offense, with a defense capable of forcing timely turnovers.
  10. I think TE is a very difficult position to come in and make a big impact early. The two best TEs in the league (Kelce / Ertz) did almost nothing their first year in the league and really started to come on between year 2 and 3. OJ Howard looked great this year but had an injury that cost him a good chunk. Hunter Henry same thing, hurt in preseason. Engram has battled injuries. If you are insistent on early impact because you are delusional enough to think this team is going to the Super Bowl next year, then yes, TE is not your position. (BTW, there's a pretty extensive list of offensive line busts. There's no "safe" position).
  11. Because his coach on the hot seat flipped out on him on the sidelines?
  12. Jacksonville is in cap hell, they aren't signing Foles. Flacco and Bridgewater aren't both going to Miami. If you follow the coaching dominoes with QBs, it wouldn't be shocking to see: Tannehill - Cincy - Zac Taylor was with Tannehill in Miami the first 4 years of his career. Andy Dalton - Washington - With Alex Smith's status very doubtful, Jay Gruden knows Dalton from their time together in Cincy Miami - A true wildcard, they could go QB early, they could bring Bridgewater to his hometown, or they could bring in Foles, a guy Brian Flores saw perform very well in the SB. Flacco - maybe he takes 1 year make good deal in Jacksonville? Like I said, the Jags cap situation is ugly, they may be forced into keeping Bortles and drafting a QB high.
  13. That's an interesting take. Everything I've seen on Lock on twitter is positive buzz, several people (especially with ties to Denver / Giants) saying he's cementing himself as a top 10 pick.
  14. It's like some people think the only thing we can possibly draft or sign is WRs, TEs and offensive linemen.
  15. I really hope they stick to BPA. People on here are hung up way too much on certain positions. If they hit on a blue chipper in the first round we'll be a better team after the draft, regardless of position.
  16. I love McLaurin. If he’s still on the board in round 4 run to the podium.
  17. Murray will go top half of round 1 if he proves he's committed to football 100%. Enough scouts all saying that's the case and Jacksonville / NYG / Denver / Miami / Washington are all on the QB market at a minimum.
  18. Absolutely, and that's the exciting thing. We could potentially move down to 15 and still get a "top 10" talent if we are willing to draft BPA vs "need". Lock seems to have the rocket booster attached to his draft stock so far in the Senior Bowl media buzz. Having AB in his ear makes me VERY nervous. It's one thing to get the attitude with the talent of potentially the best WR in the league, it's quite something else when a guy walks into the league with that attitude.
  19. My bold prediction. Haskins / Murray / Lock are all off the board by the time we pick. (note, I did not say "pick 9").
  20. We take Rosen at 12 and Edmunds goes 18. In fairness, it's the teams beat writers making the picks (so the Jets beat writer, who actually watched Josh, took him at 3) so it's not just one "Kiper" doing a redraft.
  21. I would really like that pick. If we are going to tailor the offense around Josh, I think a mobile backup with a big arm would be a very sound investment. I'm sure Palmer is doing very well for himself acting independently, but I kind of wish we would just make him a godfather offer to be the QB coach exclusively with Josh.
  22. Ram it between the tackles RBs are dinosaurs. Given his own ability to run, his still developing accuracy and the current NFL, a "Kamara" is a lot better fit than a "Bettis" in a backfield with Josh.
  23. I think it's very important we made it through the offense crazed head coach hiring without losing Daboll. Some continuity with coaches and getting Allen some real support and the sky might be the limit.
