  1. One of these things is not like the others.
  2. Yep. I'd say frontload the heck out of it to bury the money in this year / next year, but I also know how these things work and in year 3 he'll say "Why am I only making $8 mil, rip that up".
  3. Feels like we are lining together base hits and doubles, lets hit a home run now....
  4. No. They are acting like a team with $80 mil of cap room in a market that's quickly drying up that just lost one of their big signings.
  5. A little pricey, but seems they got Brown AND Beasley for about the same amount Tyrell Williams is said to be wanting. Beasley should be a real nice fit for what Daboll wants to do.
  6. Going to need to see the numbers on this one.
  7. You could spell his name right...
  8. Someone lock Morse in a comfortable room for the next 24 hours.
  9. Seems like Bell / Bakari want the money to get out before the team, which would lead me to believe he's not going to a "premier" destination....
  10. Bell / Morse / John Brown / Daryl Williams / Ziggy Ansah would be my delirious, "playing Madden" dream offseason. We are 40% of the way there and rumored to be involved with the other 3.
  11. One of the top guys left I wanted. Very nice.
  12. https://www.investopedia.com/terms/o/opportunitycost.asp
  13. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
  14. Considering cap space is not a primary concern at the moment (and a contract could be front loaded to make it less of a concern through the life of it) and we've got JA on a rookie contract for 4 more years, I would much rather give Bell ~$16 mil than Tyrell Williams ~$13 mil.
  15. The Rams went from picking 1st (yes, it was a trade up) to the Super Bowl in 2 years after 2 incredibly flashy offseasons. The Eagles were extremely aggressive in FA after getting Wentz and won the SB shortly thereafter. Two recent examples have rendered the cautionary Eagles Vick "Dream Team" a thing of a different era.
  16. Build it and they will come. The problem lies in needing people to help build it.
  17. "Hey boss, we Za'Darius Smith!" "Come on guys, I wanted Preston!" "We'll get him too"
  18. All that Then draft Oliver at 9 / TE like Irv Smith - Noah Fant in round 2 / a very good WR is going to slip through the cracks to round 3 in this draft and then we have 7 picks to go BPA all over the board the rest of the draft.
  19. They can do both.... Bell / Gore / rookie ~4th round pick would be a very nice depth chart.
  20. If people don't get it by this point, they won't. It's not an either / or proposition.
  21. I really want Williams or Saffold (I really want both...) getting one of them would go a long way towards solidifying the line, free us up to truly go BPA at #9 and look for one more line piece in round 2 or 3.
  22. Do people complaining about money just not get it? We have more cap room than we could ever need. We could easily create another ~$8 mil by trading Shady and cutting Bodine. I can begin to understand an argument about culture, though I think that's overblown, but complaining about him costing too much money at this point screams "I have no idea what I'm talking about".
  23. Take advantage of Allen's cheap deal. The FA market wasn't great to begin with and is drying up fast.
  24. Yes please. Sign Bell and send Shady back to the Eagles.
  25. I think Green is a heck of a player, but he’s not actually available and would be prohibitively expensive with draff picks. I’d rather just keep our picks and sign both Tyrell Williams & John Brown and have what would be an underrated yet very strong receiving corp.
