Beane was pi##ed off about Buffalo comments
Chuck Wagon replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I appreciate him saying it, but I'll be fired up when the Antonio Browns of the world are excited to come here, not the John Browns. (Don't get me wrong, thrilled for John Brown...) -
Anybody know if Ansah has left town yet???
Chuck Wagon replied to Rebel101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He gone. Really curious on the asking price with Clowney. Obviously we need to give him a big contract, but he's 26 and likely much more impactful than Ansah, plus we have the room to frontload a deal. If Houston is looking for a "Brown" type package, ie a 3rd/4th and a 5th to avoid him putting a Leveon, I'd like to go that direction. -
Golden Tate to NYG 4 yrs $37.5 Million
Chuck Wagon replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They are going to give Eli one more chance (ownership just can't quit). Saquon - Tate - Sheppard - Engram, Zeitler helping the oline, Peppers / Bathea to replace Collins and will probably take defensive players at 6 & 17. I don't agree with it, but if that's your plan. -
Hate to say it but, I actually feel bad for Dolphins fans

Meh 1 year ago the Browns were the absolutely laughing stock of the league. 2 years ago they looked completely devoid of talent. Now they are potentially the most exciting team in the league. People here need to stop accepting it takes half a decade to turn around a team. -
If he leaves the building he's signing with the Saints.

I want one of Bosa / Quinnen Williams / Ed Oliver / Josh Allen / Devin White at #9. Maybe Sweat. Then one more high quality lineman and otherwise skill position on day 2 / early day 3

What if Rosen Ends Up In Miami?
Chuck Wagon replied to RocCityRoller's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would love to see the Dolphins trade their 1st round pick for the guy who looks like the current "Ken O'Brien" from last years draft class. -
Predict the next Bills UFA/Trade signing

Ansah And then I think we'll bargain hunt with our remaining money. -
I can already see it now. December game in Cleveland, 15 degrees with some flurries. Browns vs Ravens for the division, high flying Browns team comes in with Baker & Odell and gets punched in the nose by a Ravens team that possesses the ball 70% of the game and wins 16 - 10.

Bills FA moves garner praise from national media

They got all their "Buffalo is cold and boring" and Josh Allen jokes out during the Antonio Brown "trade", now they feel bad for us. -
G Jon Feliciano (Raiders) to the Bills
Chuck Wagon replied to sven233's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oh I agree, I don't want them to be done either. But we just spent A LOT of money on backups with starters still available if that's the case. -
I can get on board with Morse being a big difference maker, I don't think a center's role can be understated, especially with a young QB so to go from guys who should be career backups to a top half of the league starter makes a big difference. I also agree on Brown. He's shown flashes at times but never really put it all together. Self proclaimed gurus like Matt Harmon on Reception Perception love Brown. If healthy (a caveat that seems to accompany all these signings) he's a dramatic upgrade on what we had on the field last year.

Foster / Brown / Beasley all seem to have pretty defined roles. I think we want to go rotation heavy with the WR group, ie not having one guy playing 98% of the snaps to keep everyone fresh. It's safe to say Zay / Duke / McKenzie / McCloud / Bolden / Thompson are all competing for playing time and roster spots. The draft will likely say a lot of how the team views Zay, WR is a very deep position and if we grab one on day 2, Zay better be bringing it hard in camp.

Morse & Brown are the two that excite me the most currently. Beasley is fine, seems a little pricey but the way the contract is structured there's no long term risk. Nsekhe seems potentially the most interesting, could easily be just a guy who played decent as a fill in or has the potential to be a very solid starter at a tackle spot for a very nice price. Gore, Johnson, Feliciano, Kroft, Long all seem pretty meh to be. Upgrades on what we have but I'm not expecting any diamonds in the rough there. I think Beane strung together a bunch of base hits and maybe a couple of doubles. But when you have Antonio Brown, Odell Beckham and Leveon Bell changing teams within a week and we were rumored to have some level of involvement with all 3 (however much exaggerated) it's really hard to say we hit a big home run.

Unless the price on Williams has fallen through the floor, I think it's a bit of a pipe dream to suggest we'll get him too after these signings. That's my view too, they've set themselves up to be versatile along the line and the best guys earn their spots. Also something to be said that if someone goes down we have potential for the whole line to not fall apart. -
They are going to be looking at year 4 or 5 of Barkley's career before they have a real team around him, which can be ancient in RB years. Last year wasn't just passing on Darnold / Allen, they also passed on the trade package they could have gotten for the pick. Considering Beane traded all 53 / 56 / 65 in moves up and people in the know suggested Darnold was above Allen on our board, I'd have to believe something like 12 / 53 / 56 / 65 / 2019 1st was at least mentioned at some point. Taking Barkley at #2 was an epic miscalculation on how much Eli had in the tank and how much the team was built already.
