  1. I just don't see what people see in either of these guys. In my mind, Manuel / Cassel / Taylor are clearly better than either of them. Schaub is a "has been" and Tuel is a "never will be".
  2. What's the deal with Wisniewski? I know he visited Tampa and Seattle several days ago but haven't heard a peep on him for several days. Does he want too much money? If we can bring him in for LG or C (pushing Wood to G) that's a move we should make.
  3. 2 or 3 is highly unlikely, maybe we get one lower pick, but the guys who are walking out aren't moving the needle. I'd be relatively surprised to see Lee Smith and Pears count in the formula and Clay & Felton will cancel Spiller & Searcy.
  4. I kind of get it, but I'm so sick of the double standard that ESPN holds out for the Bills. The Pats make this move and they'd be blowing smoke up both the Pats and Percy's butts. It's all the same thing "they don't have a QB and their OLine isn't that good". It's like they are grading on an invisible curve where the Bills could just walk out and grab Andrew Luck and Joe Thomas, but choose not to in order to bring in Percy Harvin. Just once I'd like a talking head to acknowledge we have the best collection of skilled talent that we've had in over a decade and a potentially great defense. Yes we need to make a couple improvements, but unless you are willing to present realistic options for replacement it's all just empty clickbait fluff. The problem is ESPN entered the empty clickbait fluff business a long time ago and are doing well in it. Rodak is a professional troll paid to antagonize a fanbase to generate clicks, nothing more. It says a lot about the guy that he's willing to take the check over finding a spot writing about what he cared about when he should have the connections to do just that if he's working at ESPN.
  5. Translation - "This Pats fan is mad Percy signed with the Bills instead of New England."
  6. Cassel starts the season, plays OK but not great and has us around 4-4 before getting hurt. Taylor comes in instead of EJ and lights the NFL on fire, finishing the season 6-2.
  7. Even if we signed Clay, I wouldn't mind going after Gresham if the money is right. Gresham is barely older than Gragg and/or Gray and would give us a solid 2nd TE to pair with Clay in 2 TE sets.
  8. Gresham would be a big upgrade over Chandler.
  9. The offense is going to be all about getting the ball quickly to guys in space. Harvin is perfect for that type of game.
  10. Percy can take an occasional handoff (spelling McCoy without changing personnel), run screens, help in the return game and be an option on reverse/option plays. I hear the complaints for a big WR, but I don't expect the Bills to be a downfield offense, instead relying on deceptive quick plays. He'll be able to provide much more than a guy like Hogan or Goodwin.
  11. Now they can cut/trade Wallace, match Clay and go with a base set of Landry / Stills / Cameron / Clay for reasonable money.
  12. Sign Clay, Harvin, Spikes and Wilfork I want a proven O-Lineman as much as the next guy, but we swung and missed at the clear upgrades. Use our 2nd round pick on a lineman and 3rd on BPA. More guys will get cut after June 1st and there's other positions we can upgrade.
  13. "Should I even visit other teams, or should I just take comparable money to go crush it in New England's offense and potentially win the Super Bowl?"
  14. Who cares what Miami says they are going to do. Sign the deal for what you value him, if they match, congrats on paying Cameron & Clay $15 mil a year, if they don't then we get Clay. Clay is a nice player, he'd upgrade our team, but we seem to be feeding into Miami making this a ridiculous situation. I don't think Clay is the difference between the playoffs or not for us, offer the guy his value and move on to the next move.
  15. Eddie Royal signed a 3 yr/$15 mil deal with Chicago. I'd have to believe Percy wants something at least $ 5 mil a year. Just get Percy, Clay and Spikes done. The FA pool for players of the impact they can have is drying up. Sign those 3 and start bargain basement shopping, we whiffed on the O-Line but have young players who might improve and can add another piece in the draft.
  16. "We signed Jordan Cameron for cheaper than we think Clay will go, aren't we soo smart?"
  17. Until there's a press conference , I think something will stop it up. Miami hasn't given up their rights and never underestimate the Browns ability to do something dumb.
  18. I could see Brees being available, with the Graham deal they aren't exactly in a "win-now" position. They were shopping Kenny Stills earlier today. Offer EJ, a 2nd and a conditional 1st/2nd next year before they sober up.
  19. Anything really cap friendly and it would not surprise me to see Miami match. They look to play 2 TEs often and Clay & Cameron could complement each other really well. Wouldn't shock me to see them spend their money on TEs, waive Wallace and draft a WR to put opposite Landry.
  20. Murray begged for a contract from the Cowboys and then signed with a division team that plays them twice when he didn't get it. I don't think he'd have much interest in coming to Buffalo.
  21. We aren't anywhere close to too low. To sign Clay we likely would have had to so something crazy to sink the rest of our cap space but it looks like that's not happening.
  22. I don't know if I remember a time in the last 15 years I've agreed so much with our teams front office, it really sucks to see them go after the top tier of FAs who'd fill our needs only to come up short on every one. You can't really blame it when almost everyone resigned with their team, but it's still disappointing to keep swinging and missing.
  23. At this point I kind of think we should meet Terrance Knighton's asking price. Seems to be the best FA available. Make him our big money signing, answer the concern at NT and use the rest of the cap space on bargain offensive FAs.
