  1. Goodell just brought it up yesterday in Peter King's column, so it's not exactly like Kraft is bringing it up out of nowhere.
  2. I could see Wood and Tayshaun Gipson getting into a dust up. There's plenty of bad blood there.
  3. I get redzone from my cable company for $8 a month and have a buddy's league pass info for my ipad, just two possible alternatives to the normal directv approach.
  4. There's rumors he told PFF he was a big fan of their website and afterwards his grades soared. Given his size, age and cap hit he is a pass for me personally. Take AJ Cann or Laken Tomlinson in the draft to play opposite Richie with Urbik in the rotation. Use our remaining cap money to bring back Spikes and wait for June 1st cuts.
  5. But it was such a brilliant move by the genuis Farmer, the Bills could have just taken ODB, now without a 1st we can't get a QB.
  6. Bills @ Jets would be the perfect Monday night opener, but Jets @ Bills isn't an option?
  7. The problem with that thinking is I don't agree that Flowers, Peat, T.J. Clemmings or La'el Collins are clearly better prospects than Kouandjio or Henderson. Kouandjio was mocked as a first all pre draft last year before he went in the 2nd due to concerns about his knee. Henderson has always been viewed as a blue chip prospect with significant character concerns knocking him way down the board. We need an elite young guard prospect, but I would have been shocked if we used our hypothetical 1st this year on a RT. People need to get over this belief that a rookie available to us would definitely walk in and blow away Henderson/Cyrus with a year of experience under their belts.
  8. If Landon Collins is there, that's the guy I'd want. We've got some safeties opposite A. Williams who have potential, but nowhere near the ceiling of Collins. That seems like the one guy who might be available we could plug in right away and upgrade our defense. If Collins is gone, I'd trade back and pick up more picks. Trading into the 20s would still allow us to pick up one of the top TEs or linemen. A darkhorse I wouldn't mind exploring (esp if we trade back into the 20s) would be Gurley. We could allow him to rehab for a year and replace Fred in a rotation with McCoy for the "ground and pound".
  9. I don't think Demarco would have been interested in us beyond upping his value. The Raiders tried hard and he was never too interested. Bradford was his college roommate, he can stick it to the Cowboys twice per year and they've got Mathews to keep him fresh. Tebow had one of the most fortuitous runs in NFL history then couldn't get on the field with the Jets or make the Pats roster. He's not the answer.
  10. The Dolphins might get better performance out of their WRs and have a better QB and Oline than us. They also arguably have a better DLine than us. They really need to do a lot to round out their roster, but they've got a lot of potential.
  11. If/when Brady & Belichick retire, Jimmy G. is bad and the Jets fail to get it together, I could see the Bills-Dolphins getting pretty heated.
  12. If Melvin Gordon or Gurley are sitting at #50, I say we take them.
  13. That class looks better than this one.
  14. Yes. Outside of getting an elite guard prospect in round 2, I'm not sure why people are so convinced we'll get better prospects than the guys who've been around the team for a year already. Henderson or Kouandjio will be the RT next year, wouldn't either of them be at least a 2nd-3rd round prospect if you put them into this year's draft right now?
  15. I really want Spikes & Dawan Landry, that gives us two strong defensive depth pieces. Landry was PFF's 9th rated safety last year playing for Rex, I'd love to put him in the competition with Duke, Meeks & Rambo.
  16. Actually they might pass. If I understand correctly Clay counts as his new contract for the Dolphins to keep their rights. They might pass and move on to use their cap space elsewhere.
  17. Pretty sure they can, but I don't see it happening.
  18. It's been reported Rivers wants to get back to his southern roots. We've become a transplant team for guys from Alabama/NC State (SEC & ACC country). I don't think it's unrealistic to see Rivers enjoying it in Buffalo. Houston or Tennessee might be our competition, but most teams in that portion of the country are set at QB. Offer EJ, our 2nd and a conditional '16 pick for Rivers.
  19. I expect to see a lot of nickel, because that's what teams play now and that's what we are set up to do. We are short at least one OLB and we need a NT if we want to play the 3-4.
  20. Julius may be the most overrated guy in the entire league, a guy who can't block or stay healthy is not the third best TE in the league.
  21. Unless there's a QB they want that might hit the market (Kaep? Brees? RG3?), there's not really any one player available worth that cap space. I think they want to sign Clay, make Harvin official, maybe bring back Spikes or add Dawan Landry and probably add one more body to the oline through FA/trade. Those moves would eat up a lot of the available cap space.
  22. Nice move, he's not making much above league minimum now and will likely be better than any street FA we bring in. C- Wood G - Incognito, Urbik, Richardson - Williams? T - Glenn, Henderson, Kouandjio Depending on what we do with Williams, we have room for one or two more guys. It would be nice to pick up a cap casualty who can start to upgrade a guard or tackle spot, then get someone in round 2-3 to get another body in to compete.
  23. Until Miami waives the tag, I don't see much reason to believe they'll let Clay walk. They love playing two TEs and could replace Wallace/Hartline/Gibson with Stills/draft pick for a fraction of the cost, enough to sign Clay to play with Cameron.
  24. He had one of the best running games and best WRs in the league during his run. He was always a product of the system, if we got a run game as good as Houston's and Watkins hits Andre Johnson's level we'll likely get a pretty respectable season out of whoever is taking the snaps. Schaub didn't lose his arm, he's hearing footsteps now. Once a QB loses his nerve and stops looking downfield to pay attention to the noise around him he's pretty well done. Anyone who watched Schaub in 2013 could tell he was playing scared. Given his age, there's little reason to invest any time in him at this point.
