  1. Ian Rapoport Verified account ‏@RapSheet Olivier Vernon is headed to the Giants, source said For Olivier Vernon and the #Giants, I'm told it's the biggest defensive end deal in history with the most guaranteed money Olivier Vernon gets $85M over 5 years — WOW — with $52.5M in guarantees.
  2. Schefter has been saying for a while the benching in the SD game really bothered Brock. Schefter has really strong ties to Denver (spent nearly 10 professional years in the area) so I imagine he'd have some insight.
  3. I'm not sure Sanu belongs in that group, it sounds like he has suitors lined up.
  4. #analytics #moneyball #buildthroughthedraft
  5. Mack would be a really nice get for the Falcons to start to provide some stability up front. I have no clue what the Browns are doing, from everything I've seen they are planning on completely punting on FA despite sitting with $50 mil in cap room, because, analytics.
  6. He's a fit for what they need, but I think this is the first really dumb deal of FA.
  7. Bosa would look really nice opposite Hughes....
  8. 90s, the Bills were really good and the Browns didn't exist.
  9. I'm not sure where to put this, but I thought this was pretty interesting: http://thedraftwire.usatoday.com/2016/03/07/a-complete-list-of-nfl-team-prospect-meetings-at-the-scouting-combine/ Looks like we talked to all the QBs and our typical ACC heavy slant.
  10. It would be great to sign both Evans and Cog and allow Miller another year to grow/use him as our backup for either spot, but that may be an unaffordable luxury at this point.
  11. This I'm never predicting the playoffs until Matt Patricia is coaching Jimmy Garoppolo to 6-10 seasons.
  12. That narrative is so tiresome, I know it's just guessing but the whole "Rex signed Richie, so let's give him Nkemdiche" is lazy at best.
  13. I think it'll be LA as well. From some of the comments from the Rams it seems they are taking a Broncos style approach to building a defense first team and now with Gurley they really just need a QB who can manage the game and get them in the right plays. Plus, "Peyton Manning" sells tickets and generates fan interest a lot better than "Case Keenum" in a brand new major market. With a 2nd team coming soon, the Rams really need to hit the ground running, whichever team is better is going to have a major advantage in winning fans in LA.

  15. I wouldn't mind using Lee in Rex's 3-4 the way the Cardinals use Deone Bucannon in their defense. I think 260 lb Spikes style MLBs are dinosaurs, Bucannon/Mark Barron are the way teams are trending, old in the box safeties are becoming the new MLBs.
  16. I may be in the minority, but I really wouldn't want to pay Osweiler. I'd rather make sure to get Miller and Malik Jackson locked up, bring in a couple of guys like RG3 and Matt McGloin for peanuts and draft a QB.
  17. Cap math is fuzzy at best, especially at this point of the offseason. Doesn't anyone else remember when the Saints started out some $20 mil over the cap but were still able to sign Byrd in FA?
  18. Did anyone else notice he was off an entire round of when Clausen and Manti got picked? Missing a guy by 25+ picks is pretty extreme.
  19. Kiper's sole qualification is started to track the draft before anyone else cared to do it. He does a good job of memorizing facts about draft eligible players, but that's it. That skill was incredibly useful in the early 90s, but now technology can instantly spit out the same things he does. ESPN continuing to feature him one weekend a year adds to the embarrassments of the network. If he knew anything, a NFL team would have paid him a lot more than ESPN does a long time ago. If you look at his early big boards, he's not even in the same ballpark as how the actual draft plays out (but good luck finding them, Kiper/ESPN scrubs the internet of them).
  20. Well the single team option is $85. 6 months of STO at $12 a month is $72. Seems like you still come out ahead. Personally I'm a Tigers fan and I only care about watching the Tigers. They are out of market for me. I wasn't planning on returning to MLB.tv at $130, but for $85 to watch what I want might have lured me back.
  21. "2016 Bills football - welcome to apathy" "2016 Bills football - because you don't want to spend Sundays at the mall with your wife"
  22. I've been beating the drum for a while when it comes to Warner and the HOF, IMO I think he clearly belongs. Some food for thought: 2nd all time in Super Bowl passing yards / 8th all time in Super Bowl passer rating 8th all time in Playoff passing yards / 6th all time in playoff passing TDs / 2nd all time in Playoff passer rating 2 time NFL MVP Player A: 12 seasons / career record of 67-49 (58% winning %) / 65% completion / 32,344 yards / 208 TDs / 128 picks / 93.7 passer rating Player B: 12 seasons / career record of 94-71 (57% winning %) / 62% completion / 32,943 yards / 165 TDs / 141 picks / 81.6 passer rating Player A is Warner / Player B is Troy Aikman
  23. The Broncos invested a recent 2nd round pick in Montee Ball in 2013 and took Hillman in the 3rd in 2012 Stewart was a 1st round pick by Carolina and is the 7th highest paid back in the league Leveon Bell was a 2nd round pick and the 2nd back picked in his draft Peterson was a 1st round pick and is the highest paid back in the league Lacy was a 2nd round pick Jamaal Charles was a 3rd round pick and was the 8th highest paid back Marshawn was obviously originally a 1st rounder, he was the 2nd highest paid back last year Arian Foster was the 3rd highest paid back last year Shady was ostensibly a 2nd round pick and was the 4th highest paid back last year. Seems like the Bills are on a pretty similar grounds in regards to "investments" in running backs.
  24. "With the 19th pick in the NFL draft, the Buffalo Bills select Ezekiel Elliot, RB, Ohio State".
  25. Who was a slam dunk top 10 pick / potential top 5 pick before the injury. Drafting a guy solely based upon filling a need or only worrying about production in year 1 is how bad teams stay bad.
