  1. A "tight cap situation" isn't preventing us from signing premium kickers, fullbacks, short yardage backs and backup guards. People can believe whatever narrative they want, but simply put we could have tagged Gilmore and filled non premium positions with replacement level talent for league minimum. If anyone honestly believes we are a better team with Hauska, DiMarco, Tolbert, Ducasse, cheap replacement corner or high draft pick than with Gilmore + high draft pick at a need position and guys who win camp battles in those other spots, I've got some ocean front property in Buffalo to sell you.
  2. We won't get a comp pick because we are signing premium kickers and fullbacks.
  3. It was a colossal mistake not tagging him. We are paying premium dollar for kickers and fullbacks while we let a very good player at a premium position just walk to the team we need to climb over. What a joke.
  4. Unless Whaley has said something to the contrary, I'm operating under the assumption we signed Ducasse to play RT.
  5. There's a reason smart teams don't let a player like Gilmore reach FA. He's going to be feeding a lot of people here crow at our expense.
  6. Start the day hot on Juice and Wagner. End the day with DiMarco and Ducasse. #Bills
  7. I'm not going to lie, I would be pretty happy if he found out the market isn't going to pay him what we wants and he came crawling back at a lower number.
  8. Half would applaud it, half would hate it, we're more divided than the Republican and Democratic parties here lately.
  9. So basically we could have had Juszcyck for similar (albiet too much) money to do the job we want done by DiMarco + Tolbert.
  10. It's entirely based on the size of the deal. The formula is confusing and unexplained but basically it works out so that the Patriots and Ravens get plenty of draft picks and whoever is on the front page of ESPN when they sign with a new team gets their team a 3rd round pick, the formula was recently amended to give the Browns some pity picks as well.
  11. Yuck. He's basically an older worse version of Woods.
  12. Nicely done by Whaley. It allows Cardale to develop, even allows us to draft a QB this year and gives us a couple of seasons before real decisions need to be made. Tyrod has his warts, but no one who is going to be better than him in week 1 is available to us.
  13. Apparently you weren't here when every person who was pro letting Gilmore walk pointed out we'd get a comp pick.
  14. Sorry guys, we won't get a comp pick for Gilmore, but we will get an all pro fullback, a backup Panthers linebacker and a backup Ravens WR. #BillsFootball
  15. Juice probably has the Browns and 49ers in a bidding war that will end up at $6 mil per year.
  16. Meh Typical Bills, start the day out chasing Wagner and Juszcyk, end the day with DiMarco and probably overpaying Jordan Mills to come back.
  17. I'm not sure how people are simply dismissing every potential target because the draft is deep. We have 6 picks, even if we have a wildly successful draft there's simply no way we can get multiple DBs, add a WR, add a TE, add a QB, add a project OL, add a kicker.....
  18. He's what we need, but I can't see him picking us over the Pats or Giants given how vocal he was about playing for a winner last year.
  19. Why? We can decline his option with no cap hit. Trading him before the option would not create a cap hit. It literally has nothing to do with Shady or Dareus.
  20. It's like talking to a wall at this point. He gets trucked by LeVeon Bell once and gets burnt deep in a scheme that left him with no safety help and there's no place in the league for him for a section of fans here.
  21. If the Browns and 49ers want him I'm not holding my breath.
  22. It's called inflation. Cap goes up, salaries go up.
