  1. I never said addiction, but given his history, I think it's naive to believe he's not experimented with things beyond Bud Light and Jack Daniels. It's pretty clear what the story is by this point. Some here see the last name and the ties to the area and are willing to overlook a myriad of issues. Others see a QB with a checkered past as the best way to describe it and are not very interested. Half here think he's a day 2 pick and the other half think he goes undrafted.
  2. They would get roasted unmercifully, but I do think there's some concerns on Garrett (specifically effort) and I can buy that Fournette has the best chance of being a generational talent in this draft.
  3. One would think, but who knows what information they are working from, they may look at Zeke in Dallas and convince themselves a stud RB behind a strong oline is the best way to win. It's the Browns, as KG would say "Anything is possible!" I did stumble onto this fantastic little tidbit: http://waitingfornextyear.com/2017/04/tony-grossi-espn-cleveland-browns/
  4. The next time Mary Kay says something negative about the Browns will be the first time. She's basically their propaganda ministry and she knows where her bread is buttered. Grossi (gotten himself banned from the facilities) is more their Sullivan. Although according to Cleveland.com and Mary Kay there's starting to be buzz for Fournette at #1, which would be just amazing.
  5. Drugs and alcohol wreck havoc on the body, not exactly a great mix for a profession that requires peak physical condition.
  6. I expect we'll be taking one. First or second round and a potential trade down in the first are the real questions. There's enough smoke out there on these QBs I think they'll go earlier than people expect and I wouldn't be shocked to see 5 gone by pick 44.
  7. Cool. So if we get Stanley and Will Fuller we should be able to beat Virginia.
  8. If Garrett is available at 10 it means he murdered a hooker or some equivalent.
  9. Mahomes (trade down from 10, late teens - twenties) I like Mahomes because I believe we can build an offense built around a strong running game and a vertical passing game (aka a Bruce Arians offense, similar to Arizona / Pitts / Indy) that one of Mahomes or Cardale could potentially excel in with their talents. I think Mahomes and Cardale possess some similar traits, especially excellent arm talent and we could build our offense in the same mold for either. Watson (2nd round, would be willing to trade up a few picks) Trub (2nd round, would be willing to trade up a few picks) Watson's arm makes me nervous, I believe we need to dramatically upgrade our skill talent for him and go a complete opposite direction as Cardale with more of a "Patriots" style offense for both him and Trub. I simply haven't seen enough to Trub compared to the other guys. Webb (3rd round) Kizer (3rd round) I think Webb holds up pretty favorably to Goff considering they are coming out of the same scheme and Webb has a little more of a pro body. Kizer makes me very nervous about being an EJ repeat, I tend to believe Fuller / Prosise / Stanley had A LOT to do with his success in college and I'm not convinced he can make the leap. Brian Kelly trashing him also makes me nervous. In that order Like Dobbs as a late round flier He's seen a lot of playing time in the SEC, is a smart guy, has the physical tools and has the most "Dak" potential in the draft IMO. Clearly he's got warts in his game, he never quite lived up to his hype in college and accuracy is an issue, but he's an intelligent experienced player. I have very little interest in Peterman / Kaaya / Kelly. Kelly's off the field issues are too much to really believe in and I think putting him in Buffalo is the worst possible fit for him. I don't think Peterman or Kaaya have the arm talent to play at this level.
  10. +1 If one of those guys is on the board and we don't take them or we trade out, I'll be heartbroken. I'd also be thrilled with Solomon Thomas but can't see him falling that far. Everyone else I think there's similar value at 10 as there is at 20.
  11. So if we evaluate a QB to be worth the 10th pick, we shouldn't take them because nine of the worst run teams in the league also didn't take a QB? We have "starters" at every position, we won't be playing 9 on 11, our evaluation of the QBs should have nothing to do with what the nine teams in front of us do.
  12. I know, utterly ridiculous, but fun.
  13. 14. Well yeah, who doesn't want to trade back and get a similar level prospect plus get more picks? I want one of Hooker / Adams / Thomas and maybe Foster but that likely isn't happening, absent that, I'd really like to move down, acquire capital, take the last one of Williams / Davis / Ross on the board, be able to move back into round 1 with our 2nd + some of the capital we get from the move down, take Mahomes, then go all defense the rest of the draft.
  15. From what I've heard, it does seem there was more than a little bit of Rick Smith having some tough feelings towards the Broncos (he worked for them for 10 years) involved in the Osweiler deal. It seems pretty unusual giving a guy that much money at that position without consulting your coach or interviewing Brock.
  16. Blows my mind they are sticking with Weeden over bringing Cutler in. Now that Romo is gone it sees pretty logical to bring Cutler in, take a later QB like Peterman, give Savage ample looks in camp to try to beat out Cutler, if Cutler reigns it in and plays in their system then he's a top 20 QB (he shouldn't have a problem getting the ball to Hopkins / Fuller), if he doesn't, cut him, go with Savage and you are in the same spot you have now anyway. Cutler has his warts, but it seems he raises their ceiling dramatically over any other option.
  17. Don't look back at that draft.... We took: Spiller / Troup / Carrington / Easley / Wang / Moats / Batten (aka nothing of substance) We could have gone: Earl Thomas / Gronk / Navarro Bowman / Geno Atkins / Antonio Brown
  18. They don't get the show. (It's my favorite sports show, only thing I listen to daily)
  19. Sportscenter is dead. No one watches it. Mike & Mike / Lebatard / First take get way higher ratings than replaying sportscenter for 10 hours. The ad revenue makes up for the added cost of the shows. What ESPN is trying to pull off now is very hard due to the options you mentioned, if you want NFL talk, flip on NFL net, if you want MLB talk, there's a channel for that. Given how many options are available it's very difficult to pull off a broad sports network, but pretending it's 1995 is not going to be the thing to turn it around.
  20. So fans should support a garbage product blindly otherwise find something else to do? I shouldn't watch a sport I love watching because I'm fed up with my favorite team shoveling garbage down our throats for two decades? It's called being a fan. Being ticked off about a perennial losing team is one of our rights given to us by 'Merica. There's a large section of us who don't encounter many Bills fans in their daily lives and this is an outlet to discuss all aspects of the team, including venting about moves we don't like. If people have a problem that some aren't running around saying "Gee whiz, if we try really really hard maybe we can beat the Patriots and win the division, maybe even the Super Bowl!!!", that's a you problem bub.
  21. If multiple skill guys and/or a QB or two go top 9 we'll be looking at a very enticing defender available at 10.
  22. I would be happier with Howard - Jackson than with Lattimore - Cunningham.
  23. Never said we are going to and I could easily see them passing or the value not falling to them. But to completely rule it out? That doesn't seem realistic.
  24. I can't see that, I think they are locked in on Garrett unless they get a staggering offer to move down. They have enough ammo they can take Garrett #1 and move up from #12 to get whatever QB they want should they so desire.
  25. So we are going to be competitive, win games, and be in position to take one of the better QB prospects next year? No one thinks they are tanking or trying to "just get by", regardless of where they go at 10. I think Kyle is pretty realistic, he knows he likely isn't winning a ring this year regardless of who gets picked at 10 (or in the 2nd or 3rd). These are grown men competing for their careers, they aren't going to just mail in the season because the team takes a QB early and hurts their feelings. Polian is an old man who the game has left behind
