Chiefs are just better than the Bills
Chuck Wagon replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
Kansas City and specifically Patrick Mahomes has a mental edge over the Bills. He has it on Lamar Jackson too. The Bengals seem to not be affected due to their brashness. -
Eagles Chiefs Cowboys Dolphins Chargers What will this team go against that group. And that’s not counting the two division teams who have beat them already. Where’s the heart of the team that danced to “Renegade” against the Steelers on SNF? The team showed one bit of emotion on the field since beating Miami. And Josh got flagged for taunting after it. The Bengals talked trash all week then took the opening kickoff right down McDermott’s defenses’ throat. I have respect and gratitude for Sean McDermott. But this team isn’t winning anything with him.

The Bills are Going to Miss the Playoffs

Right now this team is more like the Eastern Chargers than a Super Bowl contender. -
Fire everyone. Team’s a joke.

Beane’s failures on full display
Chuck Wagon replied to Shanahan's Horseshoe's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cheaping out on DeAndre Hopkins when he’s literally doing podcasts saying he would love to come to Buffalo because you “don’t want to mortgage the future” when the future is draft picks in the 20s and a rapidly aging core was a colossal mistake. -
This is not a well run organization, bottom line. When McDermott and Beane got here, everything was in the gutter. They were able to build the Philip Rivers Chargers and the 20 year drought made them heros for it. But teams like Kansas City and the Eagles are operating on a different level entirely.

Allen has regressed badly. It’s starting to look like almost all the work done under Daboll has been unraveling. The panic / risk taker is supposed to be phasing out of his game at this point of his career. The window for this team was the 2021 season. Anyone saying “it’s just one game, it’ll be fine” is not grasping the dog fight the AFC East and wild card spots is going to be. The team was up double digits in the second half against a deflated team. The only thing they couldn’t do was beat themselves. This game is a fireable offense.

I see it pretty clearly as the level that needed to move to have a real conversation with DeAndre Hopkins.

Regime has continually whiffed in free agency and the draft. The Bengals added Orlando Brown, the Chiefs added Juwan Taylor. We are going to trot out Spencer Brown and a prayer again.

Just feels like a same old Bills free agency. A defensive player we use a 1st round pick on walks entering his prime, but hey, here’s a crappy guard. Next up is a backup TE and a substitution package edge rusher who doesn’t have any bend. But don’t worry, there’ll be a washed WR at some point.

Is a MLB a must have in the defense? If not, using a 1st round pick on him is bad business. If yes, letting him walk as he enters his prime and looks to be making strides towards his potential. I just hate losing guys for nothing.

Hindsight is 20/20, but McBeane failed to read the room last year. Team should have drafted Breece Hall instead of Elam, George Pickens instead of James Cook, and attempted to reload the offensive line. The answer to beating Mahomes (and now Burrow) wasn't "play better defense" it was keep adding weapons and lean into a MVP caliber QB. They've consistently missed on draft picks, failing to stock the cupboard with cheap, young talent under control, and now it's all come home to roost.

I’m ready to stop pretending Justin Jefferson for Stefon Diggs was a win - win trade.
