Oh he’s explosive all right! I watched him play quite a bit and there’s no doubt that he is explosive. What he is not is a gamebreaker. He won’t make long touchdown runs. He’s also very athletic. I’m curious to see how he does at the combine. Given how he does there, I’d be just fine getting him in the fourth round but preferably later.

Understand. My response was to a post saying that it was a FACT that the bills were historically bad at drafting wide receivers. My response noted that in terms of the current administration you can’t say that at this point. They had one fail. Not a large enough sample size. It’s a supposition at this point. And, if I understand what you are asking, and no I don’t count it at all. There’s only have to do with wide receivers that they drafted. It has nothing to do with wide receivers that they didn’t draft whether they passed on them or not. I call that the “Mahomes Whine Position”. So, again, all I am saying is that it is yet to be determined how good the current administration is at drafting wide receivers. So, again, all I am saying is that it is yet to be determined how good the current administration is at drafting wide receivers.

The only one that counts is Jones. The others are late round flyers. Regardless of position they typically don’t make it and that was the case. So, you have a sample of one. Consequently stating that the current administration is bad at drafting wide receivers is not a fact in the least. It is a stochastic, shot from the hip supposition. Let’s call it a fact when it actually is one. Given the relatively terrific drafts, I think the current administration get a pass on drafting Jones. He was not a reach, he just didn’t work out. Happens to all teams and I think everyone on the board knows it.

Greg Olsen visiting Bills, Redskins, Seahawks
Mojo44 replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The problem is he just doesn’t do it all the time and he didn’t want to do it all the time in Buffalo. Despite everything since, Good riddance! -
Precisely. Even in states where it is legal or decriminalized it is illegal to drive while under the influence.

Mel Kiper has the bills taking Shenault Jr

My guess is he is right as much as anyone else is. But there may be some good data out there proving otherwise. I’ll say this much for him, he has become a bit of a joke over the past few years but this guy essentially invented the whole “draft pundit“ Industry. -
Come on. Anybody here knows that there is a large number of posters who repeatedly bring this “issue“ up. The OP is correct. It is not just the press. personally, I find these posts tiresome and whiny. So many living in a nonexistent past. You would think that we were the only team that passed on him. on the other hand, if it’s any posters right and privilege to continue to talk about this. I would propose an ongoing thread for those posters who just can’t let go of this. But no such posts in any other threads. Just my opinion

Gameday Thread Packers @ 49ers NFC Title

That one still stings me a little. -
Nope. Not dominating or consistent enough to be even in that category. But you’re entitled to your opinion

Brown might be, and I really mean might be, at best, a good number two receiver. In no way is he a number one receiver despite the night season he had. He disappears and games too often and he is not capable of putting the team on his back like a true number one should be able to do. Is Tre White worth top corner money?
Mojo44 replied to DuckyBoys's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes, he is worth top money regardless of the scheme. You can’t just plug-in anybody in a zone defense and assume they will play at a high-level. Pretty much a non-issue in this case. -
Yes you can. It’s done all the time. Every time you see an official picking up a flag that he threw after consultation with the other officials is an example of this. It’s painful. But it was the right call.

Playoff #1 Bills @ Texans PostGame Thread
Mojo44 replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I haven’t read too many posts on this thread because of so many pages. But this is, by far, the sanest and most rational post that I have read. Really, going from six and 10 to 10 and six! How often does that happen in this league? And, in particular,I agree with your comments about the offense. Josh has had one real weapon or year in Singleterry. He made John Brown a good receiver this year but he disappears too often and games particularly at big moments. He needs a receiver like Hopkins. I do believe the offense will be better next year because he Josh will have more weapons and he will continue to develop. Along with his awesome physical skills the most impressive thing about Josh is his intelligence and his work ethic. So I choose to be optimistic. to put this in some perspective, compare my take on this disappointing loss to what’s going on in another thread. I won’t name names or give details. But in the other thread the OP actually suggested the Buffalo Bills fans that they should not go and greet the team at the airport when they arrive because of the loss yesterday. Pathetic! And to me as a fan, insulting. yes, we could have/should have won the game. But we lost in overtime to an evenly matched opponent at their field. Their quarterback made one terrific play that won the game for them. The loss was not embarrassing in the least to me. -
then we disagree. The loss was not atrocious. It was a tough loss that went into overtime against a good team at their place. Don’t get me wrong, I’m bummed and disappointed. But not only am I a results guy because we did go 10 and six after going six and 10 last year. That is an amazing improvement. I am also a context guy. Overall, this season was very successful for this team and they are trending up. So I put the loss in context. It’s realistic because I think this team is only going to get better but tickly when they get Josh Allen a real number one receiver and he continues to develop which I absolutely believe he will. So, I’m very disappointed about the loss yesterday. But I like the results for the season. That is how I choose to deal with all of this because it is a choice. I found the OP for this thread to be whiny and spiteful.Seriously, to tell other fans not to greet the team at the airport is genuinely childish in my opinion. I found the OP to be offensive to all other bills fans whether you agree with him or not. Are usually don’t take these emotional issues too far when I post. I prefer to deal with actual on the field issues. But, in my opinion, the OP went to far and is not handling this loss well.

Of course it’s “debatable”. Ford may end up being an all pro guard next year. I’ll give you the benefit of a doubt that you know you need 2 to 3 years before you can assess a draft class.

See you at the airport.?
