  1. Azeez Ojulari at 30. Could be a Von Miller clone. Discuss....
  2. The importance of special-teams has nothing to do with the amount of snaps taken relative to the office and the defense whatsoever. It has to do with the impact special teams have on the game. There are more than a few games when the importance of special-teams is more than 1/3. Other games it’s much less. But you can’t underestimate the importance. Two or three special teams plays in a game can have more than 1/3 effect on the outcome. To me this is basic football and not particularly debatable which renders the premise of this thread null and void.
  3. It was just one player. An important one at that!
  4. It’s a truism
  5. I will now cringe a little less when Josh gets hit. This is a great move for the team and MT. A serious upgrade!!
  6. What’s the statute of limitations on “about”? This is really dragging on!
  7. BB must have got his stimulus check already!
  8. They are probably going there to hear some blues. But getting Mack would be awesome!
  9. It seems like he could play the slot, also, if needed. I like many things about him including his versatility. This sounds like a definite upgrade to me without, I believe, affecting the cap with Brown’s release.
  10. It has something to do with the team’s car warranty.
  11. Which arm?
  12. I’m very glad we kept him. He does impact games. His reported “weakness is “are, in my opinion, overblown.Maybe I have a different definition of “elite“. Lawson is a calculated risk, he is not elite. He may end up being elite or not. I think Milano is a very good linebacker and has been undervalued by a lot of posters here.I’m very glad we kept him. He definitely impacts games, his injury issues are overblown and his alleged weaknesses are overblown in my opinion.
  13. The OP should be praising the continuity that has occurred! Instead it’s more like the old saying “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it, just tweak it a little bit”
  14. If Kim Pegula was not on board with this there would be no negotiations!
  15. I think the fact that he does indeed add noteworthy depth at center is a big part of this. It increases draft flexibility. And if Morse goes down he is a solid replacement.
  16. The 1963 season. They lost the AFL championship game to the Boston Pats*. I was 10 growing up in Niagara Falls. Do the math. Yes, I’m that old. 😁
  17. Great topic! I am dating myself here but my first solid memory of the team was the 1963 AFL championship game lost to the, then, New England Pats*. They had Babe Parelli at QB and a young LB named Bonaconti (sp?). I was 10 years old at the time I remember watching the iconic Mike Stratton hit on Keith Lincoln in the 1964 game on my old black-and-white TV when I was a kid growing up in Niagara Falls. Been a diehard fan ever since. The rest, as they say, is history.
  18. Cottingham would make no sense at all. We have to assume he’s coming back at this point. And, you are right, it is too late for that. Thankfully that nightmare is over and things are better now.
  19. This all goes back to when we traded Daryl Lamonica for Tom Flores.
  20. Maybe he’s hyperstitious. I, for one, am ludicrousstitious.
  21. A great story although I’m sorry you had to go through that back then. Touching and funny. I can also remember when I first heard about Lennon‘s assassination. But, the story about your pupils being naturally of different sizes in that scenario was funny. The story even had a nice “shaggy dog“ ending. Anyway, it doesn’t sound like a pinched nerve to me, either.😁
  22. My understanding of the term has always been that it is an Italian acronym for “death to the French. Cry Italian”. I remember this understanding of the term ever since I was a kid growing up in Niagara Falls. So, initially, it was not a reference to a crime organization. It has an altogether different history in terms of its origin. I’m fine with it being used for the bills. I think over the years it has taken on a general meaning and it’s more negative history has been quite diluted. Besides, I’m an Italian American and I’m OK with it. As an aside, when growing up in Niagara falls in the 60s my father was an acquaintance of Peter Maggadino who was the brother of Stefano, the head of a major crime family in the country located in Niagara Falls/Lewiston. He owned a funeral parlor (wouldn’t you know it). I met him once in 1966 when my mother passed and we used them for the funeral. I was 13. He was very nice to me.
  23. I remember the 1964 AFL championship game in Buffalo against the chargers. San Diego was a big favorite. Then, Mike Stratton put the iconic kit on Keith Lincoln and the rest is history. They played again for the 1965 championship which was a much easier win for the bills. Yes, I am that old.
