  1. Spoken like the NFL coach you have been.
  2. FIFY. Still not huge but more like a Strong Safety than RGIII or Vick - both of them are sub-200 lb. Google Tyrod Taylor injury history - college, too. You'll be shocked at the lack of stories. Unsettling to think that you might be hoping he gets injured so you can be right. It's a great day to be a Bill - enjoy it.
  3. - Taylor is 2-0 against Russell Wilson in college. Similar talent around them - similar experience - so there is some comparison. - Taylor played this style of QB in college and was available all but 1 game in 4 years - I hope you remain wrong.
  4. Best birthday present in a long while. 53 today. Thank you Buffalo Bills. Not much of a doubt in this Hokie's mind since the day they signed him. Only chance was the Cassel safe thing. TT is $ and was at Ravens.
  5. With or without watching this, The City of Buffalo is going to fall in love with Tyrod Taylor. It is an excellent watch.
  6. All the VT QB records. An ACC Championship game head to head vs. EJ. An Orange Bowl. The Flacco backup job for four years. Rex's desire to bring him to the Jets and Bills, Kubiak's desire to bring him to Denver behind P. Manning. All this without injury.
  7. Just Googled,"Tyrod Taylor injury history". Didn't really need to - watched him play the same style at VT - umm, nothing came up aside from a concussion check once with the Ravens - negative. Dudes a tough guy and a winner. Give it a rest.
  8. 75-99. What I find full of irony is that one of the main 'poo-poo's' of TT is that "he will never last a full season due to injury from his style of play". He handles the ball on every play in which he's in there and is still upright. Cannot be said for at least a dozen other skill guys. Dudes a tough guy and a born winner.
  9. This. And aside from the decision to take less $from the Broncos to compete for a starting QB job in Buffalo, it's the biggest moment in TT's entire career - and it's on national TV. At VT, he seized every one of those.
  10. Will reserve comment till after Thursday Vs. the Cleveland ones with our ones. If he drives the team for two TDs on his first two possessions again - one of them 80+, like he did vs. Carolina, I'm pretty sure that should seal it. Standby for a healthy, yet measured dose of "told ya" from this poster if so.
  11. Fan hype. Got it. I agree that the mainstream media is a waste of time this point in the season.
  12. Interesting that he also used the phrase, "Tyrod Taylor lived up to the hype". Aside from Bills and Hokie fans almost no one mentions him in the media. Strange.
  13. Lotsa good 70s albums mentioned ITT. Luv it !😝
  14. It's what came to mind on TT durability at VT and is one of my fav 70's albums. Glad u liked! I think it's more correct to say that that Bills want TT move the chains. I chuckle at posters that say he runs too much and throws a little long when faced with a big rush. I saw a TD fr 15 yds out and bunch of ' nice scrambles' and 'nice throws'. All woulda resulted in 1 st downs. It's like some fans rather have a sack or wild incompletion than a scramble that picks up a first so he could be labeled a 'pocket passer'. If he hurts teams that rush upfield too aggressively With runs, that Rush will be slowed down, as will run blitzes if he hurts them on option reads. Silly.
  15. Tyrod is a gym rat and is an absolute beast too. As BTO would say in the 70's: Not Fragile. More like a Strong Safety. That 215 (I think he said he wanted to add some, too) is solid. Check this Pic: http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Tyrod-Taylor-Trains-With-Colin-Kaepernick/b6d872db-c54a-47f2-8b94-6cd32824ff9d Tyrod is second from the right.
  16. Not the best team by wins and record - but that was certainly not because of lack of 4 and 5 star talent being recruited and landed - I meant spoiled by that measure - perhaps better wording should be "perennial high expectations" and I don't necessarily think of that as a bad thing - why shouldn't a FANatic want glass footballs every year ...?
  17. Not sure it was necessarily constructive - just kept reading it in near disbelief and felt it was somewhat pertinent given the close QB race we have. Clearly not up to FSU fans or any of us who wins the job. I personally think TT is the best answer to a tough situation but I'd rather win with EJ than have TT or Cassel take us to 8-8. We take in all data on here and I thought it to be real data to share.
  18. From a college board - all teams - in general very critically thinking fans: 1. Bills saw a 6'5 guy with great character, personality, and work ethic and failed to notice he was not a QB worth drafting anywhere near that high. EJ is a great guy and played for my team but I said at the time he was a guaranteed bust, was shocked any professionals could watch his tape and see a 1st rd pick. His biggest problems weren't really ones you can dramatically improve. Yoy either have good timing, anticipation, and feel for the gane or you don't. A QB with horrible anticipation, timing, and ability to read a defense in college is not someone you draft on day 1. EJ would wait until a WR made his break and was open and stationary before he would throw it. The very first game Jameis played it was night and day, Jameis anticipated and threw before guys even broke. WRs didn't have to wait on the ball because of an EJ floater or late throw. Not everyone is Winston, but EJ had god awful timing and anticipation. Jameis could also read a defense, see the field, and knew where his WRs were supposed to be 10 times better in game 1/as a FR than EJ as a Sr. I don't think EJ always knew where everyone was supposed to be which is why he had to wait until they were there to throw it. Jameis knew where people were supposed to be so he was anle to anticipate better. EJ is a smart guy but I don't think he was football smart. 2. I'm a Nole and will never understand how they saw tape of EJ and thought he was first rd much less a top 15 talent. Dude had horrible timing on his passes, couldn't even read a college defense, threw floaters, constantly spun away 10 yards to turn a 10 yard sack into a 20 yard sack, couldn't go through his progressions, etc x 10. God damn you hit this **** right on the head. Him getting drafted in the first round will probably go down as one of the biggest WTF moments in the history of the NFL draft. I literally laughed when he was drafted. Look, nice guy, represented our school with class and all that jazz, but he was horrendous. He was absolutely the governor on that 2012 team. Had we started Winston over him, I have no doubt we atleast make the national championship game and probably win it. That 2012 team was just as loaded as 2013. 3. EJ could never hit the broad side of a barn! That's why he never played for a NC at FSU. Jameis took the very same roster EJ had and won a Heisman and a NC as a Freshman! I was shocked to see EJ get drafted in the first round after continually over throwing every WR for 4 years. 4. Just to reiterate what fellow Noles are saying ITT, I was floored when EJ was taken 15th overall. All those guys with alleged great FB minds looked at the tape of his career and thought he was the answer. It fvcking amazes me that multiple people signed off on that pick. What a disaster. Just a great kid that has slow eyes and no killer instinct. How does that happen? i did not cherry pick a thread on our QB situation. There's much more here: http://forums.rivals.com/threads/holy-****-ej-manuel-is-a-waste-of-space.185328/#post-4622295 You will never see VT fans talk this way about Tyrod. In fairness, FSU fans are spoiled by 5-star talent and feel entitled to win more than most fan bases - not necessarily a bad thing - just is.
  19. The Oline was getting abused by most accounts. TT made 35 yds out of nothing by running. He's still throw first but when things break down he can still move the chains. I get it that EJ is mobile, too - great - TT is on another level of elusiveness compared to EJ. It's almost as if some folks would rather him take a sack.
  20. I approve of this meesage.
  21. Poster not correct. TT is pass first. He took off after the Oline got blown up. Made 35 yds where less elusive QB's would have had negative. Oline getting blown up is what isn't good.
  22. OLine was getting abused. Taylor had 35 yards after protection completely broke down. Threw and ran for the most first downs. Just movin the chains. Other Qb's would have had -35 yds in sacks.
  23. Does not include running yards - which were substantial for TT.
