It makes sense until one watched 9, 10, 11 in the box and still swing passes and runs while we were losing the lead and having one built on us. I can face it but it's hard for me to think that TT's football mind can't see when a deep ball is the right audible. Single wide x3 and 11 in the box is that time.
-
Still waiting for anyone to respond to this. Does anyone even know if TT was permitted to audible out of clearly incorrect play calls ? If we could see 11 in the box - so could he - and we have Sammy, Woods and Percy wide. 3 deep balls in an entire game is basically handing a 3 and out to the Pats - which we did. TT could have and would have torched that secondary deep if he was able to audible out..
-
Fair analysis after 2 games. Needs the additional flavor of audibles (whether he's permitted or not) and/or deep ball shots when they are the right thing to do. Today, TT /Roman (no matter who was the final authority) fell hard on that part of our O. I just ask you to look at how NE beat us. It wasn't on many (if any ) runs or passes that are caught at/behind the LOS.. Our O still lacks any sort of killer instinct. Jim Kelly led teams did not dink and dunk. TT can sling it if it's called. TT scored 3 TD's and ran for 1 in spite of playcalling. Kneeling it out after we were up 24-0 vs. Colts hurt us there. And that's what Roman did. DO NOT LIKE our playcalling 2 weeks in.

bump for real analysis.

Read whole thread. Was shocked at lack of what is normally experienced Bills fans analysis. Looked to me that Roman wanted to kneel it out once we were up 7-0 and then got a 3 and out. What we as fans don't know is how much Roman and Rex allow TT to audible out of a bad play call. Signature game fail play was when the Pats went up by 7 and we had to play from behind first series. On the TV I was watching, on 2nd down, all 11 Pats were in the screen - and we ran. That's 11 in the box and we still ran. Tyrod is a better football mind than mine. But even mine knows you HAVE TO AUDIBLE OUT AND GO DEEP !! That's proof enough for me that TT was limited to whatever Roman called. Roman - if in charge - only called 3 deep balls today - 3. Insane with our WR talent. And if you say TT could do whatever there's there with no fear of repraisal I did not see that and it looked to me that we're back to EJ/Hackett/Marrone - I hope with all hope that I'm wrong. The OC was an absolute idiot today. And TT needs to push back hard if he was limited by him. Almost conspiracy theory **** bad on the unwillingness to go deep. Aside from that, the D-line did not show up and all 4 should turn in their Top 100 .. crap. 2 out of 5 NE OL were rookies. Pathetic showing. The second this TT's fault is the second u didn't really watch or are not a critically thinking football fan.

Pats only have one actual half of film on TT. We could have beaten the Colts by 20 + but GRom shut it completely down after we went up 24-0. Dareus back plus the underestimation of TTs arm = Bills 34-16.
-
If you say so. Certain Oakland loss is the real big key in that analysis. In hindsight, prolly better the bIlls did miss the playoffs - set the stage for this 2015 team. Feels a world away from 2014 at the moment. Brown fumble in that game is still hard to erase.
-
Butt Fumble - Sanchez never really recovered EJ to JJ Watt - never really recovered Bryce fumbles into the EZ @ KC - Bills make the playoffs without that or EJ to JJ. As was posted - dude puts it on the ground way too much for Rex. Up to now is a career ending fumble. Fair ? - no Real ?- yes.

Bills offense or Colts defense? A look at 2 big plays

Don't get it. So the Tyrod throw wasn't something for fantasy owners to count on ? - get it. Who TF cares. It was $ and a statement in the game when it happened and was well planned and executed - and it took Percy's speed to hit it. -

Who will be best off season player pickup? Poll Added
moshermw replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Still has to prove it in non - TC and non- pre-season. But every indication so far is that he might be the biggest bargain of all of pre-season. No data says the other way and he was CHEAP. Good chance at a franchise starter for about one $M. If true, that's over ALL teams. -
Is resigning TT possible if he plays well?
moshermw replied to Mango's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Interesting thoughts. Here's an observation: so far TT has exceeded many on this boards and most of the media's expectations. If that trend shocking the world trend continues we are not only in the playoffs but SB. I for one can picture it. If it goes down in that way And TT has shown complete capability and confidence so far, TTs agent needs to get paid for the foresight and structure of that deal. -
QB Tyrod Taylor to start Week 1

Very non-Tyrod like from VT. Not even in the same planet as Johnny Football antics or RGIii arrogance. Dude deserves some celebration of all his hard work to this point. Shut up and held a clipboard for 4 yrs. Needs to do it for real in 6 days. -

This entire subject should be left to Chris Berman. My all time favorites: Riders on the Storm Davis (Os Pitcher in the 80's) Jose Can You See Canseco Andre Bad Moon Rison Robbie Remember the Alomar In this vein all I got is "Tyrod I'd Like to Meet His Taylor" -

Great breakdown. Thanks for the post. Didn't pick up on the Tyrod vs. Luck 2010 Orange Bowl rematch till that segment. TT needs to even the score. -
QB Tyrod Taylor to start Week 1

Geno: - thrown on to big stage as a rookie - did not have Super Bowl QB in front of him - tons of character issues during the draft process and pre-season - did not win over locker room - not surrounded by all-pro talent - not coached by a Super Bowl OC Tyrod: - Been a pro for 4 years and acts the part - Behind Flacco - Coached by Roman - Watkins, McCoy, Harvin, Clay, Felton - commands the locker room - No character issues whatsoever Apples/Oranges -

Joined this board to bring this to Buffalo fans' attention. I'm a huge Bills fan and didn't want this guy to go unnoticed. Had been tracking his career here in the Baltimore area. This was my first post. As much of a homer as I am for this QB, even I am a little surprised at how consistent he's been. I never knew how much that was his pedestrian QB coaching at VT or him. Got my answer. Not surprised about anything else. Yesterday was actually my birthday - coolest birthday in a long time. This was fun to go back and read. thanks for digging it up. Like many of you, I put the fanatic in Bills Fan. And as much as I'd like to pile on the 'told ya's" (other posters are doing a great job for me on that !), I've also learned that being a good fan is keeping it shut when things are going your way. Thanks again for finding this ! Go Tyrod and Go Bills!!! Let's hope TT Wrecks the Patriots !

Not surprising. Its human nature. This is as tribal as we get in modern society. The leader of our tribe is now TT. Some grunt good others grunt bad. No quality and relevant tribe kills yet means grunting goes on. Hungry for good kills ---> we grunt at each other. I grunt that new guy is gonna silence the bad grunters. [now just sniffing air for a scent of a woman - or lombardi trophy] -
DNR. All said, Schaub (effectively TT replacement as #2 QB) was abysmal vs. the Redskins on Saturday. Pre season is just pre season but TT lit that shvt up for four years after Flacco went out. Most Ravens fans correctly have no real thought on TT either way cuz Flacco never got hurt. They will have a thought on him when the Bills crush them at home in the divisional playoffs this season.
