Tyrod Taylor had a quietly spectacular day
moshermw replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
TT did not win a game in the 4ht qtr except the Titans. True. And disappointing cuz there were definitely shots. He also did not choke/int away any leads in the 4th .. macrocosm of the game manager/less than 30 throw concept. So how was it that the Bills weren't ahead in the 4th so often .... ? -

Best post I've read on here all year. Facts. Research. Emotion only when needed. Nicely done, FM. -
Am I wrong, Vikes final playoff spot?
moshermw replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Vikes in. 49-17. Only issue now is seeding. Beat the Pack next week and they are NFC Norris champs and host Seagulls. -

The throw he made to Watkins ROLLING left but thowing right was absolute $. Then there was a penalty for Sammy for delay of game which was insanely BS. He should roll out on every obvious throwing down - left or right he throws on the run as accurately as from the pocket - evidence that rope to Sammy. many more options when he's already moving - and the D does not know what side he's running to. Moving the pocket is THE best way of using his running ability - a real weapon - and keeping him healthy. The pocket is not as safe as people think. in that light: QB's with Higher QBR and more starts than TT: Brady Wilson Daltom Palmer QB's with more starts and a lower QB rating: Cousins Newton Brees Eli Rodgers Rivers Stafford Cutler Fitz Bridgewater Bortles Tannehill Ryan Winston Bradford QB's with less starts than TT: Roethlisburger Manning Cassel Luck Keapernick Hoyer Mccown Osweiler Flacco Gabbert Marriota Foles After 15 weeks - two missed starts - I'll say the starting QB position - runner or not - is the least of the GM's worries. All said, draft one in 2 or 3rd and let him learn behind TT. Dude is $. -
Seven snaps from inside the 2yd line at the end of the half - one from the 1/2 yd line - and not one QB sneak. Not one. And no points. That is your game, fellas. Pathetic playcalling.

Point out the play in today's game where he rolled out BY DESIGN and it wasn't good.

The Defense misses Kyle Williams big time
moshermw replied to TPS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Euex Pee is 100 % correct - no one should be able to run it down our throats for the go ahead two scores. Kyle would have none of that. -
From the sacred "pocket".
-
Nope. All from pocket today - at least as designed. Zero called rolls.
-
Understand the words DUAL THREAT. TT should be rolling out on every obvious throwing down. He can throw on the run or run if it isn't there. Vikings lost - just like we did - OBTW same score - cuz they didn't ROLL HIM OUT on the strip sack play. TT is a DUAL THREAT - make the second threat look like one. And move the place where he is for the fvcks coming to sack him. Pathetic use of TT running threat today.
-
ROLL HIM OUT and he gets it on foot. I'm working on getting banned on this theme. See: Bridgewater loss and same LOSING score

Can we at least agree on this? (Tyrod)

No. All of the playcalling faults were on display today. For the life of me if you have a reasonable running QB that can throw OK on the run or run as a weapon, I DO NOT understand why one does not ROLL HIM OUT on all 3rd and passing situations. The Vikings lost Thursday precisely because of this. All you need to do is not get sack and/or maybe run for yards if it's not there. Ironically our score is the same as Minn/AZ. Cept Vikes were the underdog and had it. If Teddy ROLED OUT, the strip doesn't happen and they kick to go to OT. Bills win on these three plays - and eff that waiting for 20 for 20 BS thing: First series - 3rd down after a nice 1st down series: 1. TT gets a rare sack on 3rd down - cuz they KNEW WERE HE'D BE. ROLL HIM OUT and he avoids it. 2. Key third down in 4th - 8 ish yds to go. TT forced it to Sammy - from the pocket. If one looks at the replay the entire middle of the field was open - if he was rolling, he was running and there's NO ONE THERE - TT is still running. 3. Game loser - forced it again - from the pocket. If he's rolling, he sees it it's not there and he runs for it - easily. So clear. Everyone who thinks TT needs to be more of a pocket passer so that he can be more like effing Brady should now own this loss and STFU. We lost - just like the Vikings - because even tho we are the better team, there is some sort of failure to understand in certain situations, that a duel threat QB needs to actually running when the play starts. The pocket is NOT SAFER than a skilled running QB on the run. See Romo and Brady's worst injuries. TT is the best dual threat QB in the NFL and is very accurate on the run. Why he's not moving on every third and throw down is beyond me and cost us this game, the second Patriots game and the KC game. My friends and wife are tired of me yelling this - ROLL HIM OUT ... but they know it's true. that Bridgewater debacle is total proof. W.T.F -
Tyrod Taylor ranked top 10 in at least 6 QB categories
moshermw replied to pbanach's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The pocket is just as dangerous - if not more so - than running out of bounds for 7, 10, 15 yards with your head on a swivel. They know where you'll be. TT should roll out on almost every pass play - definitely all 3rd an 5 +. Romo got hurt both times in the pocket as did TT in the Jets game. -
Bill can be the #6 seed in AFC by tomorrow if....

Roll TT out on every single pass play - to the non-JJ side. He's much more elusive with a head start and throws very well on the run. Worth at least an extra 1.5 seconds of time. -
Which Bills make a play when one is needed? My thoughts:
moshermw replied to UBBullsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
TT is best against the JJ Watt types - he abused Suh twice VT/Nebraska and twice v Dolphins. Roll him on every pass play to the side JJ isn't. He's much more elusive with a head start. TT also throws very well on the run. -

Rex Ryan says changes coming for review process
moshermw replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
NFL should implement an interactive system over Dish or Direct TV whereby the fans decide both whether a play should be reviewed and what the call is. But just for teams that haven't made playoffs for 15 years tho. If it were implemented, I'm fairly certain some fvcks on this board would actually refrain from helping the Bills so they can hate on Rex and TT further so they can continue to wallow in their misery. This is a good team and it's about to break out.
