wide open like Torrie Smith yesterday ? I never saw the ball go deep - maybe while I was in the bathroom or something. Playcalling/execution was very conservative - not sure who that's on if it was clearly there and TT didn't fling it ...
-
There were zero deep balls (over 20 yds) thrown in that Ravens loss. Sure Duke lost Mike Wallace on the long one but IMO, that's not how we lost. It was Roman's playcalling. We have arguably the best deep ball QB in the league and never tried once - not once. We scored a measley 7. I submit also that Roman's firing was a hangover from that performance - big passing day vs. the Jets 5 days later wasn't enough..

One game at a time. Squish the Fish ! -
Rex might have actually built the bully he promised, An undefendable run game and QB, #1 red zone D. Best receiver and DL still hurt. After the Patriot/Seagull/Bengals games we will know for sure. Last 4 weeks look like a bully to me.

3-2 but Tyrod has had 4 bad games this season
moshermw replied to Yeezus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great show today by TT. Offense is set up perfect for upcoming bad weather. If Lynn designs a game plan where we need to go bombs away for 350+ yds, like when Sammy returns, TT's arm strength or medium/deep ball accuracy are not in question in my mind. He. Just. Wins. -
A few thoughts about the 49ers Game (Tribute to BillFromNYC)
moshermw replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great post, sir. Just want too add that if we had Sammy, in a dome, and another legit 2-receiver (like Green Bay w Jordy and Cobb), TT could be a 300 ypg QB if the game plan dictated that. His arm strength is not in question nor is his deep ball. The great thing is that his deep ball is still always a threat and the style of play that this offense has right now translates very well into ishitty weather - about to come. Remaining sched/potential weather: @ fish/ok Pats/marginal @Seagulls/rain Nov 20 @bengals/bad Nov 27Jags/bad Dec 04 @ raiders/ok Dec 11 Steelers/bad Dec 18 Browns/bad Dec 24 Fish/bad Jan 01 @ Jets bad So 7 of the remaining 10 games should/could be in bad weather. This O is clicking and perfect for that. TT can light it up for 300 + in Oakland if one wants that - I for one would love it and know he could do it - especially if Sammy is back. Again, great summary of today's game. Tyrod. Just. Wins. -
Cuz it's true. FB is a wasted position in the modern NFL. people drone incessantly about it being a QB driven league. FB ain't a QB's weapon anymore. Goodwin is a serious deep threat and has shown huge flashes of improvement this season but he will get hurt. Boykin is solid and a teammate of TT at VT - all time VT receiver along with TT throwing. Quintessential smart, big strong possession receiver, heck, he's much more like Gronksr !! should have held on to him and cut mini Gronk on PS - JMHO.

Bills' Offensive Personnel vs. Ravens

Boykin >> Gronk. !@#$ him. -
Eff this whole thread and the fickle media. Weren't rated in the top half last year because "it's a QB driven league - nothing but question marks at that position, blah blah blah" Now we have a SOLID #1 in a "QB driven league" and the focus is now on D. With a D-minded coach and a new year under his system. Can't have it both ways, you fvcks.

Update: Bridgewater suffers serious leg injury
moshermw replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exum is like that. Cept a natural safety... Is a bargain waiting to be scooped. -
Bills clearly featured EJ in Game 3 of preseason - or better - showcased him. Game 3 is the game everyone always say s the clear starter plays the most snaps. TT - 2 BS series only vs. the Skins. Cardale is going to be good - quickly. Eye test already passed.. You are in denial if you think the Bills weren't getting ready to shop EJ as the season went on to shed that last year contract. TBwater going down speeds up AT THE VERY LEAST ONE team in shopping for a better BUQB .. think about that for a second.. Minnesoata would be stupid to not at least make the call - right now it's Shawn Hill and some dude I've never heard of as #3 and I'm a huge college fan .. Hill has looked really good so sky is falling factor isn't completely their fate but they have a literal nobody as #2 now. EJ is extremely valuable to the Bills - but $ talks and offers will start coming in sooner than later based on this horrific injury to Teddy.

Call me crazy - Bills should pick up Antone Exum. He's $ and the Vikes were just fat on safeties. Bills aren't .. -
Please explain the touchdown pass catching rules
moshermw replied to simpleman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is the rule that applies to that play, IMO: Rule 8, Section 1, Article 3, Item 5 states: Simultaneous Catch. If a pass is caught simultaneously by two eligible opponents, and both players retain it, the ball belongs to the passers. It is not a simultaneous catch if a player gains control first and an opponent subsequently gains joint control.Sep 25, 2012 I'm just glad it was preseason and the Bills won anyway... -
Are we sleeping on this team?
moshermw replied to Estelle Getty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yesterday proved that the Bills are ahead of the Giants in getting ready for the season. Nothing else. -
Crowded position right now. 3 drops - Homey don't play that. Boykin and Powell looked really solid. Even so, will be tough to break into that huge crowd... Watkins Wood Goodwin Lewis Little Salas Listenbee Boykin Powell

Cardale body language/ pocket presence very Jim Kelly??
moshermw replied to Bocephuz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Cardale looked good. If he passes TT it won't be because he "steals" his job. He would have earned it - on and off the field. For 2016 at least TT is the clear leader of this team and is doing elite QB things like showing up first and leaving last, running his own player-only Offensive meetings and working with his receivers in the off-season in Cali. The Bills' QB situation is as good as it has been in many years - this is attributable to all 3 on the roster. Tyrod is the face of the franchise - let it play out - but also sleep soundly with EJ and Cardale backing the AFC 2016 MVP. Yes, I said it. MVP. -
If one wants to, one could include Tyrod in the "Backfield of Zoom". No slouch with the ball in his hands ..

RD 4, Pick 139: QB Cardale Jones, Ohio State
moshermw replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And got hurt himself. TT made like $850k/yr: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/12/22/matt-schaub-likely-to-make-3-million-for-two-games-with-ravens/ So Schaub is likely to finish this season having played two games, thrown three touchdown passes and four interceptions, and collected $3 million. Nice work if you can get it. At the time that the Ravens signed Schaub, of course, they thought they’d be a playoff team and hoped that if Joe Flacco got hurt, Schaub would be able to keep the team afloat in Flacco’s absence. As it turned out, the Ravens were already out of contention when Flacco got hurt, and Schaub didn’t play well in relief of Flacco before getting hurt himself.
