  1. We've been so spoiled by elite safety play for years, that we hate on Damar who has actual played fine this year. By no means is he a star, but he doesn't seem to make many mistakes.
  2. Someone actually disagreed with this comment... jeezuz... this is why we can't have nice things.
  3. Teams will always fall in love with the athletic freak QB with a rocket for an arm. That will never change. But the successful ones have to have the other intangibles like brains, heart, and leadership. The Mafia is lucky that our QB1 is a unicorn that has it all.
  4. I don't know how someone could "thumbs down" such an innocuous comment like the one you posted. I think you make a good point about the 5th year option. The hope now is that DeWayne Carter and SVPG will be worth losing that 5th year option. Those are the guys we picked up by moving down. Carter was starting to look good before his injury.
  5. I believe Andy Reid wins at least one superbowl with the Bills roster from the last few years. I also believe Josh Allen wins multiple superbowls on that Chiefs team. Really good coach, really good QB, really good defense. A team needs at least 2 of those 3 to win a Superbowl. The Chiefs have had 2/3 every year for the past 6 or 7 years. Combine that with the mystique dynasties get that cause other teams to make mistakes at key moments.
  6. Well he's been traded to/from, probably, the 3 most dysfunctional front offices in the NFL.
  7. Shocked they didn't hire Vrable in the first place.
  8. Seems like the whole team was pressing, and trying too hard to do their jobs. Then at halftime they remembered that football is just a game that they've all been playing their whole lives. They came out in the 3rd looking loose, and having fun. No doubt, there will be bumps along the way, but I hope they keep that mentality the rest of the season.
  9. Cooper. This offense will run through him. The "everyone eats" offense will only work if the opposing defense respects someone enough to roll coverage his way. The Bills have that guy in Cooper. It's too early to say if this will last or if Brady can develop an NFL passing attack. But that second half was fun to watch.
  10. I think a lot of fans have overly-fond memories of Daboll's play calling. It was very frustrating at times.
  11. So does Steve Smith Sr. apparently. He feels the Bills are using Keon incorrectly. And he does know a little something about playing WR.
  12. I've been pleasantly surprised by Dorian's improvement so far. He was always fun to watch, but he often over-pursued and seemed to have trouble processing the plays. He doesn't seem to make as many mental mistakes which is a testament to coaching and his studying. Let's not get carried away; he's no Milano good. But I don't think he's as much of a liability as he was last year, or even in pre-season.
  13. -4 - (-6) = +2 You sir, are correct. The math doesn't lie.
  14. I think Hollins is good...as a WR4. But he certainly should not be a focal point of our passing game.
  15. He looks dejected. I think the team already gave him the "bar of soap in a sock" treatment during training camp. *Full Metal Jacket reference. If you know, you know.
  16. Is Schlopy still available?
  17. Honest question. Is he a true #1? Or was he a pretty good receiver with a great QB on a stacked offense? I haven't watched enough bengals games to know. And you can't trust a sports media that thought Gabe Davis was a good WR.
  18. Will this help the offense score points? If so, I'm in.
  19. Given the skyrocketing cost of WRs. I think we're going to start seeing more of RBs being drafted and used in the downfield passing attack. Not just screens. Davis was a good receiving threat in college. Just like Cook was. Having said that, this was only his 4th game as a pro...and a backup at that. He needs time for the game to slow down.
  20. Babich deserves some flowers as well. We heard all off-season that this guys is smart and a great teacher. The defense is humming while down a starting LB corps, and our all-pro slot corner.
  21. Saints also did this last week. Ravens physical style is a bad match up for Dallas.
  22. EJ was probably never going to make it as an NFL quarterback. But this team (coaching, front office, ownership) put him in a terrible position and failed him as well. He seemed like a great young man with a good head on his shoulders. But we have Josh now, and Marrone is probably quality control coach at some community college or something, obviously.
  23. I'm afraid Bass leaving points on the field will cost the Bills games this year. Hopefully not in the playoffs where every point comes at a premium. But, respectfully, I don't see this trade scenario happening. Though, I also thought Diggs couldn't be untraded. So there's that.
  24. Bills, but it's too early for this to matter. I don't care if the Bills are hot in September. I want them on a hot streak in December and January.
  25. I think it's still a little early to say, but McDaniel's moment may have passed. It's starting to look like his offense has been figured out, and he's having trouble adapting to something new. He looked bad last night.
