  1. Prepare to be roasted my man. People on here are pretty vicious from the safety of the keyboard. But I, for one, appreciate your post. While Allen isn't the QB I was hoping for, I will support him. He's a quarterback on our team, and he's yet to play a single snap. From a sports fan perspective, there is nothing yet to hate about the kid. Since people value their own opinion over reality or facts, Allen has already become a polarizing figure in Buffalo sports. Me? I try to stay clear of negativity and of rose colored glasses. So I'll stay cautiously optimistic. I'll root for Josh Allen on Sundays (or whomever happens to be the starting QB). Cheers brother, and go Bills.
  2. Are we seriously talking about the Buffalo Milfs?
  3. If I remember correctly, his mock doesn't come out until the day before the draft.
  4. That would've eliminated Peyton Manning.
  5. Initially, I was iffy on Rudolph. This was based on scouting reports and comments on this board (always a mistake). Now that I've had a chance to watch clips of him play, I'm liking him more and more. He hits players in stride more than some of the other top qbs in this draft. I was also impressed with his intelligence after watching his interview with Steve Mariucci. Arm strength is still the question for me. His pro day should be interesting. Having said this, I agree with most that he won't go in the first round. I also agree with the OP that I'd like us to trade down to late 1st early 2nd and take him before a teams like the Saints, Pats, Chargers get a chance. Of course, if we had a shot at Rosen or Darnold, I'd prefer either of those two.
  6. I have been a critic of Mayfield. I don't like him as a QB. Not that I wish him a bad career. Hopefully for him, I'm wrong (unless he plays for the Pats, Fins, or Jets). But what I see is a great college QB that won't translate well to the NFL. My opinion of him went up a little at first when I saw his interview with Mariucci. He seems to have football smarts. But watching him at the podium in front of the press dropped my opinion of him again. Yes, he's a fighter and a competitor. But he also came off as a bit of a douche. Maybe it's just my impression, but when he told reporters that he lifted up the play of the whole team...eh. That's one of those things that you let others say about you. Not something that you say yourself. That isn't the only reason I don't want to draft him.
  7. Couldn't agree more. I understand the love for Mayfield. He made things happen, sure. As you said, he's "spirited." But I don't think that style translates to the NFL where he'll be up against superior talent. He made a lot of fun, risky throws in college... that would've been picked off in the NFL. We all want our next Jim Kelly. We want someone to believe in. I get it. But I don't think Mayfield is that guy. Just my opinion, but I have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express.
  8. I'm having trouble seeing what so many like about Mayfield. Not trying to be a jerk here. He was fun to watch. He made things happen...at the college level. But, to me, he made a lot of throws that would've been picked off in the NFL. The improvisational style can work great in college. It doesn't work as consistently in the pros.
  9. I don't see Center being as big a need as some on this board. Groy played very well when he stepped in for Wood last year. Of course, I don't know what blocking scheme the Bills will be employing next season.
  10. If we're going to go this route, why don't the Bills just create a player? Let's say 6 '6, 250 lbs. Accuracy, Arm strength, and Awareness 99s. Then set the experience level of the NFL to "rookie."
  11. Like Peterman, I think Lauletta will be hindered by his arm strength.
  12. Small consolation prize for Williams.
  13. Looks like he's good in even years. 2018...? Seriously, though, I'd rather not go with Bradford.
  14. I agree that you have to take the points there. You can't trust this offense to drive and get points...I don't care where starting field position may be.
  15. Peterman has the right mentality for this kind of offense. Drop back and throw the ball. The play is run quickly. But the football just hung out there on the int. His arm strength was a big factor in the interception.
  16. The Ravens' fan base appears to be somewhat upset with this Dean Pees fellow. By the way, is it poetic justice that it was the Ravens who provided the Bills with a "surcease of sorrow?"
  17. Considering our history, I'd expect the Ravens, Titans AND Chargers to lose...everything going our way...then we blow a late lead in Miami and still miss the playoffs.
  18. Even the guys during the CBS halftime report said that they couldn't believe that wasn't a touchdown. So it's not just Bills fans.
  19. A healthy Tony Boselli was an amazing tackle. But did he play enough games make it to the Hall? I can see arguments for and against.
  20. "Teams that win find a plan and stick with it." I don't think anyone would disagree with that statement. The question here is, "Is Tyrod the winning plan, and should we stick with him?" By playing Peterman, McDermott is telling us that he doesn't think Tyrod is part of the long term winning plan. So he starts Peterman to see what the kid has. Anyone who sees Tyrod as a long term franchise QB will be upset by the move to Peterman. I happen to think that Tyrod would make a fantastic back-up QB. So I wasn't upset with his benching.
  21. "It's just skin, Steven."
  22. I couldn't agree more. I like Tyrod as well. I think he's a great guy, and he can play in this league...as a good back-up QB. He'd be an ideal fit for this. He rarely does anything to lose you the game. He rarely does anything to win you the game. He'll manage the offense and keep your team at .500 while the starter is out. Peterman had a horrendous game. But with our defense playing the way it is, we're not making the playoffs with Tom Brady behind center. It was worth seeing what Peterman could do. We already know what we have in Tyrod.
  23. Let me see if I understand the logic of this thread. Peterman had a horrible game, so that automatically means Tyrod isn't terrible? Okay.
  24. People find the oddest things on which to focus. Being from sunny states isn't what made Trent and Losman bad quarterbacks.
  25. I haven't seen an arm like Peterman's since Rico back in '82.
