  1. Hopefully Josh doesn't have a hormone disorder...
  2. What happened is that defenses figured out the offense that Daboll spent the offseason designing. To be fair, this is also the offense that Allen has been running all offseason as well. We need to see if Daboll and Allen can adjust their game. We haven't seen that yet. And until this happens, our offense will continue to struggle. I know he's crazy athletic, but the part of Josh Allen's game that has impressed me the most is his ability to learn and adjust. He's coachable. I believe he has the ability to get things right. He just needs time. But how much time can we afford? And is Daboll the right person to teach him? I don't see Daboll as having the same ability to adjust his game. I guess we'll see.
  3. Josh and Daboll need to show that they can adjust their game mid-season, not just during an off-season. On the other side of the ball, we seem to have a finesse defense that lost it's fire (except for Hyde). I don't know if it is injuries, new contracts, or the loss of guys like Zo, Shaq, and Phillips. But this defense needs a jolt. Hopefully Frazier and McDermott figure out some coverage schemes that give our d-line a chance to apply pressure. And hopefully they find a scheme to keep Klein on the bench... Seattle, like the Bills, has relied on their offense to carry them. The defense stinks. On paper, this game should be a high scoring affair. It will be difficult, but the Bills can win this game.
  4. I was going to write something similar to this. I've been wondering if Beane doesn't trust his pro-scouting department. There are 30 other teams out there (besides Bills and Panthers). Why keep going back to the Carolina pipeline? I haven't been critical of the Panther tendency in the past. But enough staying in your comfort zone. This defense needs a jolt. Staying in your safe-space won't provide this and neither will Worley (in all likelihood). If we're going to sign a low level CB, then fine. I agree that this is a big need. I find it hard to believe; however, that one of those other 30 teams doesn't have a practice squad player with more potential than Worley.
  5. We can't stop the run. They have a great ground game. They don't need Kittle or Garoppolo. The front 7 will need their best game of the year for us to have a chance. Just my opinion.
  6. *cough Eddie Robinson *cough But yeah, Klein is horrible.
  7. This is the right answer. The young man just isn't doing well. I do not want to rely on his leg in a playoff situation (or with any game on the line for that matter). That doesn't mean he won't get there, or that he won't have a great career. There have been plenty of kickers who go on to good careers after a shaky rookie year. He has potential, and I have hope for the guy. But he has a lot of improving to do.
  8. I don't know if anyone in the league does a better job of taking away your strength on offense like Belichick. Our run game stinks. Belichick will basically challenge us to beat him with our run game.
  9. He has good instincts. You could see that in college. But I don't know that he has the physical traits to be a full time starter. Though I guess that is a similar profile to Levi. So maybe.
  10. I personally wasn't high on Metcalf. He looked like an incredible physical specimen. But he didn't look like a fluid route runner...no...he wasn't a fluid route runner. And he was terrible in contested catch situations in college. Seems like his success is due to Seattle being smart and asking him to do what he's good at...running in a straight line and having Wilson, with a beautiful deep ball, toss it to him. Granted, I haven't watched a lot of Seahawks games this year, but every time I see a highlight, it follows this pattern. I could definitely be wrong, but that's what I've seen personally. Yav, in my opinion, made a great player comparison. David Boston.
  11. In my viewing, Klein has been a liability. He causes his teammates to make mistakes trying to compensate for his mistakes.
  12. Really looks like Norman is going to be an important piece for our defense. He knows how to play in McDermott's system. Maybe his horrible Washington years are a function of him being in a bad system for his traits (as several on the TSW have said). I wasn't sold on this hypothesis. But it may be true.
  13. For sure, he did a better job of setting his feet before releasing the ball on a lot of those out-of-the-pocket throws.
  14. I hear you. We should always give credit to the other team's efforts (except when the effort is cheating, you know who you are). But it is a concern that our defense seems to crumble a bit in the second half. In the 3 games, we've seen the defense suffocate the offenses in the first 2 quarters. Only to see those same offenses move the ball in the second half. What is it? Conditioning? Injuries? Coaching? Playing with a lead? Or a combination? Either way. Our guys still have to work on a complete game. But for now. We're a legitimate 3 - 0! This is the best bills team in decades.
  15. I actually didn't like the pick of Epenesa. But even I have to defend him here. He's a young man. A rookie who didn't get a real training camp or preseason to get a feel for the NFL. And I happen to think the Bills d-line pantry is pretty well stocked at the moment. So he has to outplay those guys to move ahead on the depth chart. Give him time. And by time, I mean at least a year. I hope this young man proves me wrong with success on the field.
  16. If anything, I'd like another corner. But I've been saying that since the start of the 2nd round of the draft. Either way. Our defense has looked stellar at times. Today they played without their 2 starting Pro-Bowl caliber (yeah, I said it) linebackers. Another poster here mentioned it, but McDermott's defense, and Beane's team defense building, is based on star linebackers and corners (Kuechly, Davis, Norman in Carolina) and big strong linemen over quick pass rushers.
  17. His physical gifts have been apparent to everyone (even those who don't like Allen). But his ability to accept coaching and to improve is seriously impressive. The season is far from over. He will have bumps along the way. But we have a QB here that will evaluate himself and make changes to his game when it's needed for improvement. I just can't stress enough how important that is to any quarterback, but especially one as physically gifted as Josh Allen. He works his @ss off fixing the negative parts of his game. I can't say enough good things about this young man. So impressed; whatever happens to his career from here on out.
  18. Miami's TEs will have a good day on Sunday if Klein is covering them. This makes me a bit nervous. Are we going to see Siran Neal, Dean Marlowe, or Jaquan Johnson used in the lineup to help on passing downs? It'll be interesting to see how McDermott and Frazier gameplan.
  19. Both body type, and body of work suggest that Ford should be at RG and Williams at RT. Just my opinion (such as it is).
  20. Christ, I hope not. I want Gase to get a lifetime contract.
  21. He played very well for the Panthers for 2 seasons at RT. Then he dislocated his kneecap and was IRed for a year. When he came back from IR, he played at different positions on the line (LT and LG if I remember right). He struggled there. But he was out of position a year following a tough injury. I'm hoping that he's primed for a comeback.
  22. I believe that Williams is our best pickup of the offseason. Sure, he was terrible as an LT. But he's just a couple seasons removed from an all-pro RT year. I expect him to be a borderline probowl lineman. Fingers crossed.
  23. "Problem," is a strong word. But I'd say CB2 is a weak link on a pretty stacked roster. I was hoping for a CB2 in the draft. We were in position to take 2 that I really liked. Is there a chance the Norman improves in McDermott's defense? Sure, but he's not a spring chicken, he's never been fast, his physical gifts just aren't there anymore. He needs to be the wily veteran who uses his football smarts to make plays. I don't like relying on that. I love Levi as a back-up. But he doesn't have the physical gifts to be a playmaker or to stop a playmaker.
  24. I vote: Washington Sentinals Then they can sign Shane "Quicksand" Falco.
  25. A man that large is not supposed to have feet that fast. Just one of the reasons he'll be getting >$15 million/year really soon.
