  1. Should've been arrested last year after the AFC championship game when he raped the Bills o-line... then stole their lunch.
  2. He's young, so I could end up being wrong. But I never understood the hype. Accurate, sure. But no zip on the ball. He was throwing to like 5 future first round WRs while at Alabama.
  3. With Milano's injury history, we really need another linebacker who can cover. Klein ain't it.
  4. I'd have to agree with you. Kelly was great, and a perfect fit for Buffalo. But Marino is one of the all time greats (I still don't like him though).
  5. Maybe Josh just has him mixed up with Jalen Ramsey...
  6. Bro, I never even implied that this guy was going to supplant Josh, or even compete with him. But we should always competition at all spots. I'm hoping this guy can push Fromm. Our starters are in good shape, but when they go down, we need a deep bench. This seems obvious to me.
  7. Quarterback is the most valuable position in professional sports. I don't care who you have starting under center or as your 3rd stringer. It is always a good idea to bring in competition.
  8. It's tough. Do you take someone who MIGHT be a great starter in year 3 (Brown)? Or someone who MIGHT be a good starter this year (Melifonwu)? You ask the same questions but replace with Tommy Doyle and Darrick Forrest respectively.
  9. How many times in the championship game did Kelce just jog to an open spot in the zone and make a simple catch? How many times did we hear the Bills secondary needed to jam the WRs and stop letting them get a free release? Levi, Dane, Taron...they don't have enough athleticism to press or play man. This is a weakness that will be exploited by good teams. If you have guys that can get to the QB in 3 seconds, that's great. But it doesn't help a lot when the QB is getting rid of the ball in 2.5. McDermott has shown a willingness to adapt his game and make adjustments to his style. The NFL passing game is changing. I think he will eventually start focusing on CB2 in the future. This year I think it's going to hurt us. Anyway. Go Bills!
  10. 3 seconds seems to be a key number. If a QB holds the ball longer than 3 seconds, the chance for a negative play increases. QB rhythms and WR routes are designed to be completed in under 3 seconds. How do you get the QB to hold onto the ball a split second longer? Coverage. If your secondary can get the opposing QB to hold onto the ball half a second longer, our front 7 has a better chance at getting a sack or causing a negative play by the offense. Having a good CB2 will also help our safeties since they wouldn't have to worry about drifting coverage that way. Beane and McDermott don't seem to see things this way. They make the decisions. So we'll see how this season goes. I will support them and the team even though I happen to disagree here.
  11. That goes both ways, no? The secondary and the D-line work together. QBs in today's NFL get rid of the ball so fast. If you have a great secondary, you can get the QB to hold on to the ball for another second. That gives the line a better chance at getting to the QB. I'm not saying that Beane is wrong. How can I? But I can have an opinion, and I really wish that we had picked some athletic freaks for the secondary. Dane and Levi aren't athletic enough to press or play man.
  12. Agreed. I was sure that the Pats were going to get Fields, and it concerned me. Mac Jones doesn't frighten me. I don't care how smart he is, I saw consistent under-throws in games and during his pro-day. The guy had 4 first rounders making him look good.
  13. I don't think you got the memo. Beane is perfect and not to be questioned on TBD.
  14. I was late in watching Payton Turner. But I was impressed by what I saw. He plays at a different speed than others around him. This is always something I look for when watching college d-linemen. I'll be interested in seeing what kind of pro he turns into.
  15. This was not discussed enough in sports media. Absolutely one of the worst calls I've ever seen in a game. That's not hyperbole. It was wrong on so many different levels. Those 3 points did nothing to help you win the game. They still needed a touchdown to win after that fieldgoal.
  16. This is the correct answer. You win TBD for the day.
  17. Some have mentioned this, and it's been controversial, but I think there is something to be said about Josh letting his emotions get to him a bit. This would explain his inconsistency in college and during his first 2 seasons in the NFL. When he feels like he has to do it all (Hero Ball), he get a little over-hyped and starts missing throws. So he's never been "inaccurate" per se. I'm not saying that this explains everything, but the environment in 2020 was different, and I think it played at least a small part in his growth. I mean his improvement from year 2 to year 3 is something that the NFL hasn't seen before. "You can't coach accuracy" has been an old NFL adage. Having playmakers certainly helped his cause. So has his work ethic, intelligence, and coachability. All of these things, I think, were factors in his ridiculous improvement.
  18. You beat me to it. I just edited my post to Dion Jordan.
  19. I don't want them drafting Sewell. The guy looks amazing and he's only 20 years old. I'm hoping they pull another Dion Jordan and take Jason Oweh at 6.
  20. Guy casually walking through his house. Speaks to someone off camera: Guy: Hey Josh, can you toss me the keys. Cut to Josh Allen sitting at the table eating cereal. Josh: Sure. (grabs keys and casually tosses them underhand to Guy). Guy catches the keys and the momentum knocks him through the wall. Cut to Josh pushing Guy on a wheelchair through a hardware store. Josh: Lowes, for your home improvement... and repair needs. End scene. Cut, print, check the gate.
  21. I think we could get Campbell in a bit of a trade down. But I'd be happy with this draft as is.
  22. Wouldn't be in love with this, but I'd be good with this draft. Hits all of our needs with good and/or intriguing players. I'd probably go with Bledsoe over Sherwood in that spot. But we're talking late rounders here.
  23. The thead title starts, "If a teams roster is solidified..." I don't think this roster is completely solidified. We have holes, and we need depth at a lot of positions. I can easily see us drafting 2021 starters at CB2, Nickel, and Guard. We also need depth at Safety, WR, and DT. I'm liking this roster, but we can definitely upgrade at several spots. I don't want to trade up. If anything, I'm a trade down guy.
  24. The guy continues to make millions off of a reputation that he never even earned in the NFL.
  25. Get out of my head. These are my exact thoughts on the first pick.
