  1. Wow... great post and stats. Allen is our Cruyff and the accomplishment is impossible without them. But you're absolutely right, without Brady this never happens. On a more minor note as well, with Diggs this never happens.
  2. My sentiments exactly. There's no way in god's green earth the patriots won't endevour to lose this game -- even if we field 9 on every punt (or pass). Let the backups have a lifetime's worth of patspanking fun instead.
  3. Will be there with the whole fam... 12 screaming bills fans. Were also there last Dec for the Chargers game. My 5 year old nephew's first game. He was yelling "skiiiiiiiiiitles" every time the bills were on D. Just doing his part. Section 428 row 1. Come by and say hi.
  4. Hehe... That made me spit my coffee in laughter. Thanks !! From what I've seen in this thread, I think it's just me, but when I first heard (in a post here) that Mr Brightside was played at the stadium in Sept, my first though was that this is the one (and really only) song that could capture the gut wrenching feelings of being a bills fan (and player) for decades, while also capturing the magic of the present moment. My second thought was, it's a shame this is a one-off experience and that should be our anthem in a super bowl winning season. Actually I'm pretty sure it's just me, but it is the perfect anthem for our boys. At the perfect time. Glad it's become a thing. Love it !!
  5. The girl is the lombardi... not to continue the nano analysis of the song, to which many people here seem to object.
  6. Exactly We're so billsy we "throw our saints into the sea" (McD the best coach we've had since Marv, Von who is playing great, ectc.), "swimming in sick lullabies" (our daily routine here on TSW)... Now we gotta get down, because we want it all. I don't think it's a random pick for a stadium sing along. I think it's a conscious anthem for a that's coming out of their cage and opening their eager eyes.
  7. I get what your saying, but I have a very different take... in the song the image of love lost was actually all in Brandon Flower's head. The pain and jealousy those mental images produced was real. The effect those emotions had on his behavior was real as well. But the underlying cause was all in his head. I see a lot of parallels with our boys (and ourselves). After all, we've all been through sooooo much, for soooo long. That was just the price we paid for the insecurities in our minds. It was limiting us. But we're coming out of our cage... and were doing just fine, now. Destiny is calling us. We're all Mr Brighside !!
  8. Hello Everyone My name is John. I love the Bills. I have been following the board (pretty much daily) since 1998 -- even in the offseason. Through the lows and (more recent) highs, TSW has been my source for "ghost" camaraderie with you all. And, although I feel somewhat guilty for never having posted these two decades and a half, I wanted to send a quick note to thank you for sharing your passion for the one team that brings joy to us all. The last three or four years we have lost some of our old-time posters that kept me informed, entertained and hopeful (and frequently laughing) all this time. Thank you Scott for the moving tribute to John from Hemet, who represented each of you, each of us, and our team. Everyone says they have the best fans in all of sports, and I think it's okay for them to say that. But you, sirs (and gals), are truly the best. Go Bills !!
