Also ,a playoff game shouldn't be decided on the abilty of the refs to announce an eligible player ,it should be listed on the scoreboard with the correct number or they replay the down much like how they would respond to a game clock malfunction . I would love to believe the pats aren't cheating but I just don't believe it anymore since the abilty to catch them is harder than testing for performance enhancers . There is actually genius in the fact the world doesn't want to deal with a cheat. The more petty the stuff that is exposed seems to insulate against the more obviously egregious stuff.
