Texans vs Bills Thread - Realism abounds
Captain_Quint replied to foreboding's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah I agree. It's like they are going through a rebuild when they didn't really have to. -
Does Anyone watch ESPN morning shows anymore?
Captain_Quint replied to sistersarah's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've stopped all pregame/post-game watching at all. Even the superbowl gets started about 30 mins later so I can fast forward some of it. Too much garbage from the talking heads. I come on here and watch clips after the games -
He struggled with Payne all game long.
-
Oline did well with Young and Sweat, and Dawkins handled his side beautifully all game (good to see him in game shape). Cody Ford vs Payne was a mismatch for Ford most of the game. Payne came free a number of times, but Josh stepped around him. Eventually Ford realized that all he really needed to do was let Payne run himself upfield and out of the play. Williams did this with Young as well, and Josh was able to step up into a clear pocket with those two guys behind him.

Predict the Score: WFT at the Bills

I think the oline stiffens for us, and the Washington dline continues their flaccid ways and continue to struggle. Bills by 3 TDs -

"Buy stock in A.J. Epenesa" - says Daniel Jeremiah
Captain_Quint replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He looks so different than last year. Really excited to see stats like this and the company that he's in. He's young and hungry, and seems to have taken some big strides this offseason. -
How Much Will Epenesa Get Fined?
Captain_Quint replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's a bad look for a player who is trying to make a name for himself to go out and injure one of the stars of the league. This is how people like Jerry Hughes get blacklisted by NFL officials. -

Williams needs to be benched
Captain_Quint replied to DieHardBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Williams looked bad yesterday. I think Ogbah just wore himself out running around Williams all game. And Ogbah isn't just a speed rusher, he just realized that he didn't even have to engage Williams to beat him yesterday. If you go back and watch, it's embarrassing. But I do agree that he is still getting in shape, and should be fine as long as he returns to 2020 form. He was rock solid last year. -
It was more about where he lined up and his presnap motion, than taking handoffs. He'd start in the backfield and go in motion, screens, and they would do alot off of that. It was a big part of their offense and it surprised me when he got here, that he has only been on the outside, without any variation.

Scouting The Miami Dolphins (Week 2 2021)
Captain_Quint replied to Dont Stop Billeiving's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree. He will almost definately emerge as their #1 as the season goes on. And it wouldn't surprise me to see Tre on Waddle Sunday if the coaches think he is the bigger threat (they would know better than me). I just think that in week 2, with Tua throwing the ball, it's safe enough to put Levi on him when we play man coverage. -

That's a big deal, I think. Now you put Tre on Parker and Levi on Waddel. Tre struggles more against the bigger WRs than smaller ones, but I feel like Parker is the bigger threat than Waddel in his 2nd NFL game. -
Yeah, but it wasn't just some jokes. It went on for years and Lorne told him to knock it off, but he kept going every week.

I honestly think that the Steelers game was us shaking the cobwebs off, and getting our conditioning in order. I expect another sluggish game this week in Miami, in 90 degree heat/humidity. Then we have Tennessee and KC to worry about in weeks 4 and 5. All that said, I think we go on a hot streak again this season after the bye. We have too much talent on the field and too many talented coaches to not make that happen in what should be a banner year for us.
