This is right. And Gabe had the game he had because he was the lessor of two evils in the mind of KC. Leave him 1 on 1 or leave Diggs 1 on 1 was their options. Josh recognized this early and looked to Gabe all game when he needed a play. And Gabe was as focused as I've ever seen him. The moment wasn't too big for he or Josh, and that is a good sign. But the defensive play calling is what let us down, no doubt about it. Absolutely terrible down the stretch.

Doing some brats, homemade soft pretzels, potato salad, and Spaten Dopplebocks to drink. Trying to roll through Kansas City like Hitler rolled through Poland.

Keep going Jerry, you're doing just fine! Everyone else is crazy, not you. -
McKenzie playing scout team Tyreek Hill

At the same time, he is healthy and playing the best football of his life right now at the right time. Sometimes a reset is needed in order to get someone on the same page as everyone else. Not saying that was 100% the case. But maybe McD thought he needed some coaching to get him prepared for where he is right now, a focal point of our offense. -
This is amazing. The guy should carry a Waffle House menu in his hand as the playsheet.

I couldn't find a good one for him. Lol!

Interesting rushing stat involving Allen and Singletary

10 rushing TDs between the two of them in that time too. What a change from the first 6 weeks. -
This year he did it without taking a ton of hits too. He's starting to realize that he can still get big chunks of yards without getting blasted at the end. It also seems like his timing is elite. He knows how to run up a seam and spin defenders around with a slight change of direction. Different than Lamar in that sense, who can run straight to the defender and then juke him.

I just mean that who the QB is in Dallas is irrelevant until Jerry Jones quiets down and let's the team and coaches do the talking and make the decisions. When your public figurehead is the owner, it's probably not going to be as successful and strong of a team since they are constantly looking over their shoulder wondering what the next move by executive mgmt will be.

Agree on Josh having that leadership trait that all teams look for in their QB. And to have that on prominent display when you are only 25? It's a bright future ahead for him. As far as Dak and Dallas, I think it's a fundamental problem with that team. They've had two QBs now who could have taken them to a championship in Romo and Dak. Multiple coaches have tried too. I think the problem is the owner tries to be the leader on the team. Which works somewhat, until you hit those tough playoff games and then the locker room looks lost and they sputter out. He never gave Romo a chance to call the shots, and he isn't doing it with Dak either.

That's a good breakdown. Particularly important is the part about Josh being able to make the 'freak' plays when the defense is in the right position to stop it. Because if he does that, then it opens it up for the next time they line up that way and makes the D second guess what's happening.

I thought about this too. It would be cool to beat both Belichek and Brady on our way to the Lombardi trophy.

Anyone think the Steelers can beat KC?
Captain_Quint replied to bills6969's topic in The Stadium Wall
All I hope for is that the Steelers continuously blitz and cause some damage that will help us down the road. I can see their defense being amped up for the game, despite having little chance to win.
