  1. Said it in another thread and yep this place is my "Therapy Couch", so need to be it's own thread... Last week I too predicted this to some extent & saw the Bills in some ways like the 2019 Ravens in terms of their performances particularly in terms of how they played down the stretch (not in any way comparing the two teams Offenses & Defenses). I was so happy they won, but how they won certainly gave me pause. There were mistakes & the coaching frankly was not great. However the Bills are Off the Schneid and for once a playoff game went their way. Just as a reminder..... 1999 Flutie Fumbles at the 3 yard line with :15 seconds left lose 24-17 2000 The Rob Johnson debacle as I call it, while others call it "Music City Miracle" or "Homerun Throwback" 2017 3 friggin points & lose 10-3 2019 Blow 16-0 lead, multiple missed calls and oh Houston converting 3rd & 19 with a 7 yard pass over the middle.... Was not a fun game to watch as the Bills were just a little off and that is what I worried about after 5 dominant performances in a row (SF, Pitt, Den, NE & Mia). The last "bad" game they played was a tough 27-17 game vs. LAC... Probably a good thing now in retrospect that they won.....😜
  2. As I said elsewhere the Bills are Off the Schneid and for once a playoff game went their way. 1999 Flutie Fumbles at the 3 yard line with :15 seconds left 2000 The Rob Johnson debacle I call if 9other call it "Music City Miracle" or "Homerun Throwback" 2017 3 friggin points & lose 10-3 2019 Blow 16-0 lead, multiple missed calls and oh Houston converting 3rd & 19 with a 7 yard pass over the middle.... 3. Some here seem to pile on. They seemed upset that I would post a thread like this. Yes this is my "therapy couch" and trust me I wanted to see 38-21 (not 27-24). I also am exhaling and will be more relaxed next week as the Bills I am sure will be better prepared.
  4. Yep.... But we're off the schneid. Sorry I posted something that sort of "HAPPENED"????
  5. Prescent???? As said get off the schneid & on to next week.....πŸ˜œπŸ˜‰
  6. And the Bills were without Brown.... Yep Allen was shaky not good the first 24 minutes. The last 40 minutes the Steelers had no no answer for him. The last six possessions 315 yards, 1 punt, 2TD's and 2 FG's.... But when the game was in the balance it does not count, the first 24 minutes is more important to his narrative. If they do play Pitt, you know this will be the exact narrative many pundits will take. Get by Indy and see what's next and play the game.
  7. What have seen most the past 5 games is McD fully trusting the Offense. Midway through the year I still was not sure. The first NE game disappointed me so as I saw the old McD, play not to lose, between the 20's and Josh throwing only 18 times, often in bad situations. It changed the following week vs. Seattle. I said it in another thread. If McD coached like this last year, the Bills steamroll the Texans in the WC game.
  8. Just when I post I am..... And as said not the game, but the baggage I'm carrying since 1995!!!
  9. Well they did say mediocre.... Again year 1-2 regardless of what others say had much to do with 1. No talent around him & 2. A coach who didn't believe Offense and often this resulted in bad situations (down & distance) for him. Yes he improved greatly in year 3, however I will say it..... So did the coaching
  10. Well they did nothing vs. Pitt for 25 odd minutes and were under pressure & down 7-0. Also disjointed most of the game vs. LAC (with Bosa all over Allen). As per the OP, saw the Ravens fold at the first sign of adversity last year.
  11. Exactly..... It was better when people were questioning the Bills. Yes this is my Therapists Couch and forget the 4 SB's or 2017 & 2019, 1999 & 2000 still sting. I just want that first game win.....
  12. Geez all I said is "Get off the schneid"..... I said nothing about 2017 & 2019..... I did however above mention 1999 & 2000....
  13. That's what I'm saying. Nothing to do with Indy (though they are a good team) or McD & 2017 & 2019, as he has learned to trust his Offense and that Offense wins football games. Just been a long 25 years..... Oh and prior to McD we had the Flutie fumble at the 5 with :20 seconds left vs. Miami followed by the QB Fiasco vs. Tennessee (Rob Johnson was pathetic that day) and "Homerun Throwback". Yes I'm scarred😜 The team isn't.... I am😜
  14. Huh??? Just expressing my concerns and as I posted in threads earlier, has little to do with the team now, just my personal issues as a Bills fan and 1995-2019. I've even "applauded" McD and how he finally gets Offense...
  15. I think I said.... Just need to "get off the schneid"..... Been 25 years!!!!
  16. Yes we look elite, but so did Balt last year. Don't get too high and play to their capabilities. If a win and Pitt is next, the worry will be playing the same team again and that they did control the Bills offense for the first half.... Yes it's all what it is to be a Bills fan and 1995-2019.......😜
  17. Not Indy per se (though they are a good team). Just want to get "off the schneid".... Happy it is Saturday @ 1:00 (though Sunday 1:00 would have been ideal). Want an easy win and then will have the confidence going forward. While the Bills are not the 2019 Ravens, there is something about that first game that has me nervous (that and 25 yearsπŸ˜‰)
  18. The Ringer is the best for Podcasts, articles and commentary. Bill Simmons very high on the Bills too. Only a few holdouts still. BTW what does Domani & Domonique have to say now?
  19. Ding ding ding!!!! We have a winner.... And without 300 yard games the Bills lose to Seattle, Rams, Miami this year.... Oh & those 300 yard games vs. NYJ, Denver, SF & NE would have been more fun to watch if only 225 yards passing and grinding out a win playing keep away and between the 20's?πŸ™„
  20. NE did it a # of times, however often a top Offensive team may rank in the bottom half Defense, because opponents are playing catch up. Doesn't happen as much vice versa and often it is detrimental as a bad offense can't score when they need to. BTW NO won the SB when they were 1st Offense & 25th Defense. Next year they were 4th in each & lost to 7-9 Seattle in WC game.....
  21. I just went back 20 for the heck of it. I was 9 in 1972 and remember OJ breaking through (and now I question cheering him like I did).....
  22. And this is why some people don't get how important Offense(and QB) is. Why do you think there is hope in LAC, Cincy, Jax.... Because they have QB's (Trevor Lawrence on the way)? Being as bad as the Bills were on Offense for 19 years bore out in their records. McD I will concede has seen the light this year and it is all because he has opened the Offense that this is happening.
  23. Playing between the 20's that year..... A # of blowouts and putrid performances.... https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/buf/2017.htm
  24. Well 19 years of watching putrid offense seems to have numbed a lot of you..... πŸ˜‰ As stated there were plenty of Sundays I wonndered why I bothered watching the team. So happy many of you were okay with it.
  25. Went through 20 years of Offensive & Defensive Rankings below & see why it was such a rough patch..... Based on ranking in yards. Offense Defense 2001 13 21 2002 11 15 2003 30 2 2004 25 2 2005 25 29 2006 30 18 2007 30 31 2008 25 14 2009 30 19 2010 25 24 2011 14 26 2012 19 22 2013 19 10 2014 26 4 2015 13 19 2016 16 19 2017 30 26 2018 29 2 2019 24 3 2020 4 10 Avg 21.9 15.8 On Defense Gregg Williams had the Bill #2 early in 2003/04 and were #4 in 2014 and McD had them #2 & #3 in 2018/19, but look at the Ofense. 24 or lower in 12 of 20 years..... This year being the first as a top 10 unit. No wonder I was so starved for 300 yards & some offense. So enjoying this year.... Well it is now 2021.....πŸ˜‰
