  1. At the end of the day didn't affect the outcome, so sort of happy as it was a bit of a flop. Doesn't make up for many non-calls (remember OT vs. Houston?).
  2. Sort of like what I said about Allen, when the Offense had minimal weapons and a coach wanting 20-17 games predicated on defense (yes it worked yesterday). The difference is, everyone knows Jackson's athleticism and really only his most ardent supporters defend his passing. There are just so few plays Jackson makes as a traditional QB (i.e. drop back and hit a receiver in a tight window). I saw that made for TV QB challenge and Jackson was just awful.
  3. What Go-to-guy thinks Jackson would get him the ball? Hollywood Brown maybe a Diggs/Hopkins/ODB.... But you have a QB/offense that barely throws and when they get big plays they are usually busted plays. I like Jackson, but admit the hype bothers me and we saw another example yesterday. The weather was a huge factor yesterday and affected Buffalo more.
  4. As I posted they too did it for 3 quarters the first time they played, but then he came alive. Vrabel was convinced the same would happen last week and kept handing him the ball. Was a huge mistake.
  5. It was just explained to you & you still argue the point????? I guess in the OP I could have said injured (apologies😆) Any other nuggets to share?
  6. He couldn't move the last four games he played. May want to check a dictionary. I was explaining that the Giant's moved the ball as a team, but Jones' immobile as a QB so they could also tee off on him... Sorry if point form was tough to follow. Was sacked 18 times the last three games he played, because he couldn't move......
  7. Huh???? Again please explain? I pointed out their schedule and teams offensive ranks based on yards and made quick comments. Then stated that vs. that competition, they should look good. Too hard to understand?
  8. Dallas was putting up record offensive #'s the first few weeks (and allowing them on D too).....
  9. And when was the last time the Bills didn't do that? 24 vs. NE when they threw only 18 times and played into NE's hands. Last team to hold then in check was actually the LAC, but again Allen threw only 24 times (75% completion %). Pitt was a tough first 20 minutes granted. I also remember how Denver & SF were going to slow them down too....
  10. They will throw it, but unless the game is out of control, probably <20 times.
  11. And I said, Tennessee just kept running Henry last week figuring he'd eventually break one, like their first game, where actually Baltimore held him in check for 3 quarters (only 44 yards). They refused to abandon it & it cost them. We have no Henry, so not a concern.
  12. Lot's of variables. Hate to see if weather is a contributing factor. Here's penalties during the year. https://www.footballdb.com/stats/penalties.html?sort=dpi Except they played garbage offenses (point of the OP).... 7 games vs. teams ranked 24 or worse in the league.
  13. I'd say it hurts Lamar more when he throws as his arm is not as strong. Either way could be an issue.
  14. Look we know "Any given Sunday" (or in this case Saturday night). Also Baltimore has had a very good run (aided by a weak schedule) down the stretch and are now everyone's upset darling after a very good win and great defensive performance, but look a little closer. The Ravens played the following ranked Offenses this Year (and some quick comments) 1. KC - Lit them up 3. Tennessee - Certainly scored their first meeting and then ran Henry into a brick wall last week 10. Indy - Held them in check 13. Houston - 275 passing Watson 14. Dallas (no Dak) - Dalton 277 16. Cleveland x2 - Held them opening day, 355 & 42 points in the wild second game 24. Philly - 177 25. Pitt - Good first game, 277 passing second game 29. Cin x 2 (Burrow out the second game) - Beat them up twice 30. Wash - Haskins threw for 314 31. NYG - Moved the ball but Jones immobile Yep their D should look good.... As I keep saying, hope for good weather.
  15. The Ravens played the following ranked Offenses this Year 1. KC - Lit them up 3. Tennessee - Certainly scored their first meeting and then ran Henry into a brick wall last week 10. Indy - Held them in check 13. Houston - 275 passing Watson 14. Dallas (no Dak) - Dalton 277 16. Cleveland x2 - Held them opening day, 355 & 42 points 24. Philly - 177 25. Pitt - Good first game, 277 passing second game 29. Cin x 2 (Burrow out the second game) - Beat them up twice 30. Wash - Hasking threw for 314 31. NYG - Moved the ball but Jones immobile Yep their D should look good....
  16. That would be a shock.... Outside the three game stretch Titans, Chiefs & Jets (can add them playing NE's game their first meeting), 26 vs. Pitt was their lowest output....
  17. Belichek was ready to deal Brady & keep Garoppolo, which was the beginning of the rift. It would be Billsy to give up more then he got trading him the first time.
  18. He has now won a playoff game..... He's 1-2 in the playoffs and Allen is 1-1, because only the QB matters.
  19. Vs. Allen 310.3/game (passing & rushing)....
  20. This is exactly the point. Last year the Raven's weren't punched in the face from week 5 on and once they were they lost. This year they lost 3 in a row (one without Lamar) to NE, Balt & Pitt and then cruised 4 of the last 5, with Cleveland lighting them up, but a win none the less. They had 2 quality victories all season Cleveland & Indy & played quality offenses vs. Houston, Cleveland, Titans, Indy & KC. Not a tough schedule when you include the NFC East. I like it that they are so high on themselves, which as stated so was Buffalo as they weren't challenged from the bye week on (except for Pittsburgh for 28 minutes).
  21. When I can read/call the play from the couch years 1-2 that told me how pretty simple it was.
  22. Is there a Nick Wright equivalent going after the Ravens & Lamar? Last year people wondered as he was doing something so unique. This year they've been quiet and not talking about his passing as much (and putting more blame on his receivers).
  23. So now Baltimore's Offense is better then last year? Is Lamar winning the MVP again this year. And here's everyone's favorite..... 5:45 in....
  24. Fine not bad luck, tough breaks... I'd also call the Allen sack/fumble/recovery bad luck. Can't be 100% a homer all the time.
  25. Yes but as I said above, I'm not sure Daboll was that good years' 1 & 2. The difference however was evident game 1 this year vs. The Jets when a McD coached team finally threw for 300......😜
