But the only team to have given up 3, 45 yd plus touchdown runs. Again look at the quarterbacks that played against. If the defense is good unfortunately there have been times that it has let the team down, & And I pointed out the Tennessee and the Tampa Bay games. And they play 2 cupcake offenses the next 2 weeks and I'm sure they'll do just fine fingers crossed.

Read what I said. They are good, but hard to really tell based on the offenses and QB's they faced. They played very well vs. Mahomes and had a good second half vs. TB (terrible the first half and in OT). Tannehill was the 3rd best qb they faced and he started terrible the first half, but like the Pats last week, scored every time they touched the ball the second half. When you mention the "Wind Game", regardless what you say they allowed a 75 yard TD run on 3rd & 5 when everyone knew they were running and I hated the defensive set they had that play. They also let Mac gain 5 yards on two QB sneaks (including 4th down), which was disappointing.

Again the Bills have faced very few good QBs all year. The # of back-ups and rookies unbelievable. Only Brady & Mahomes. And when Tennessee needed plays Tannehill delivered vs. the Bills too. Not saying they are bad, just the games the Bills really needed them to step up, they really haven't been anything more then okay.

It is a continual issue watching the Bills. Throw out the Indy game, where nothing went well, but then there is the Wind game and that 76 yard run (still nightmares at how bad they played that). There are those 4th down conversions, that shouldn't happen as often as they do (vs. NE in particular). The Derek Henry TD, and a bad OT vs. TB. That and the inexperienced or backup qb's the bills have faced this year, is almost comical. Look as said get through the next two games and let's focus on the playoffs.

But when you need that big stop, it just seems like a crapshoot. Like a # teams (Dallas being the most obvious, but GB, LA and others too), they can look real good vs. bad teams, but against good offenses, it is a different story.

Woulda, shoulda, coulda.......

He has done a much better job catching "catchable" balls this season, that last season he dropped (1st NE game notwithstanding😜). That is why when I see drops, there seldom is context, as usually they have to be a very easy catch with no defender in site or being hit. Knox last year seemed to "not make catches", which he is this year. Makes a big difference.

Means very little. If a bad pass, then who cares? Now Mackenzie caught 11 of 12. he one drop, could have been a catch and conversely he made a couple that could have been incompletions too. Sanders dropped a TD pass that a professional should not. Doesn't seem to be a good metric on easy, wide-open, catches in coverages, leaping, or game-changing catches....... I'd like to see catches rated on some type of scale.

Geez and consider the vitriol when anything negative is posted about McD here??? This is a Bills board. While fun to read a little about NE fans upset after the Sunday loss and complaining about refs, bad breaks, Mac, BB and the defense, back to Bills talk.

And just not enough big plays on defense and can't remember the last fumble they forced. Ints are vs. Inexperienced qbs. -
As I've said countless times, regardless of how piss poor an Offense is, all teams seem capable of throwing for the odd 300 yard game, except of course Buffalo that went 48 games without one. Watching the play calling and how they played games, it was not Allen just being raw, it was McD refusing to let him play offense. Over & done with, but McD certainly could have done a better job and been more creative and allowed Allen to do more the first two years, but yes water under the bridge.

Did I say it was not fun??? I said I expected to win. I went through the 20 losses in a row vs. Miami and that was not fun. What was fun was beating them when it was two of the best QBs in the NFL going Head to Head (Marino vs. Kelly). The Bills beat BB and Mac Jones..... I know there is this mythical BB aura, but yes the Bills are the better team right now.

THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - The Complete Package

The problem is, it only works when the offense is humming as it was on Sunday. If the Offense tripped up at all (a fumble or miscommunication on a pass route, a tip) and then the Bills need to depend on the defense. I am excited, but I want to also have the Bills secure these last two games too. But as said in another thread, I think the Bills are a much better team then NE, so yes my optimism is tempered. -
Yet so many keep going on about it being a signature win. I'm pissed they didn't (and they should have) won by 20+.... 2021 hasn't gone as planned, but sorry there was no reason not to expect the Bills the better team to win yesterday. Yes I'm an eternal optimist. Hopefully there is no let down and they win out (6 more games).😜

This is what they are saying in New England Land

Geez how about being old enough to remember Miami winning 20 straight versus Buffalo. And then Jim Kelly showed up. -

Bills sacked Jones the first possession & that was it..... Years 1&2 it was holding the opposition under 20..... Now it is under 25 and a rookie qb with a noodle arm? Add to that NE never had good starting field position. -

NE only had 8 possessions the entire game. They scored TD's on 3 of them (all 75 yard drives) or 37.5% and that is not good. A tipped ball Int and yes a big break on the Hughes play (and NE penalty) was a turning point. The Bills defense was very good the first drive and made a big stop on 3rd and 3 from the NE 8. The Defense was okay at best. -

To call the offense efficient yesterday is an understatement. They walked up and down the field all day. If they hadn't the defense would have looked much worse and probably a loss -

The defense was not special yesterday, while the offense was. Defenses are supposed to stop the opposition from scoring tds andn75 yard td drives 80% of the time. NE when they needed to respond to Bills scores did so yesterday. A tipped pass int and yep a questionable penalty that instead of second and 3 (or maybe a first down at the Buffalo 38 if the Hughes late hit stood) instead was 2nd and 18 saved the Bills too in all likelihood. The defense was okay at best. -
