I wasn't emphatic enough. You're absolutely right. That's the minimum he should be doing

No idea what to think. I'd not talk to him and disappointed he is in Buffalo and the fact he'll be in someone's suite just seems wrong. I hate the argument that he did his time or other cliches.

Huge plays at the worst times are the ones we remember (add Hail Mary vs. Arizona). All three that I mention were inexcusable as they all resulted in losses at inopportune times. NE didn't even pretend to pass the ball and we allow a 70 yard run????

Why I hate Bills playing Thursday Night.....

Finally Monday...... Boy that was a long time off.....😡 Add to that every game on cable yesterday (and I have 200+ channels) were all the bad ones it seems (TB, Car, GB, Cin......) it was a boring weekend imo. As said disliked this break. -
Well I remember a 70 yard TD run by NE during the hurricane game where NE through <5X's..... Oh & Tyreek burning us in the playoffs for 66 yds(actually was a good thing getting the ball back, but with 13 seconds to much on the clock😉). Unfortunately big plays happen....

Well Bill Simmons has bowed to Bills fans.....
Billsfan1972 replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm as big a fan as anyone here. However yes it is funny how Bills fans react to national media if they are at all negative (btw Bill gets the same from Portland Soccer Moms as he calls them). I listen to him a lot and the Ringer writers have many very positive Bills articles, but Bill (with his Patriots love) is a little slow to jump on the bandwagon or anoint Allen, so often he comes up with scenarios to downplay them. He was going on about the Bills 11-6 record last year forgetting the losses were all fluky in one respect or another. When the Pats won in the hurricane he thought the Bills would be broken and then needless to say he is smarting from the last two Pats-Bills games. Obviously to make the statement he did in the thread is a result of all the Bills fans piling on him. And yes it is the best site there is for Sports and Pop Culture. -

You mean as opposed to us Bills fans? Really look in the mirror (and I'm one of us). Bill's Book of Basketball is great and his knowledge of Sports & Pop Culture is is extensive. And he is a fan. Always good to read and listen to. Don't always agree, but that's life. Of course that was why, but he too knows how good they are and should be (barring injuries). -

Happy I could help.... Sweet dreams!!!!😗 -
20-0 and Josh will be MVP..... Yes I am a fan of The Ringer and their podcasts. Bill Simmons has listened to Bill's Mafia, your emails and texts and I guess the Bills are going undefeated. Of course he is tongue in cheek and yes she is smarting over the Patriots Week 1 performance. He actually is ready for a down year. And nothing will bother more than probably a Bills Super Bowl.... 😜 I will say The Ringer is consistently the best Sports & Pop Culture content on the net. Yes I know it is not all Bills all the time, but they do have plenty and Bill slowly is warming up to them.....🤣

Buffalo Tix week 2.... Most expensive in resale market
Billsfan1972 replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall
My best two stories was always coming to games (1-2/yr) never with tickets and always scalpers..... 1. The 1989(?) Oakland Playoff game. Bought 4 tickets probably $20/ticket and got in went to seats and got comfortable watching one of the great routes of all time until some people showed up to our seats. Before an argument broke out, we looked at our tickets and they were for the divisional game, not the championship..... Oops, but we were in the stadium and a great time. 2. Arrive on a glorious October day 50's and sunny (late 90's/early 00's). Walk over to the mall on Milestrip (with the Target) to get a cup and ice (as we had stuff at the car). There is a Tailgate at the restaurant by the road, with 2-3 buses, in the parking lot, good music playing and we walk in planning to get ice and cups and be on our way, but join the crowd and talking to other fans and next thing you know getting beers and food and a great time..... Walk to the game and find two seats for $10/pair. 100 level, Row 25 50 yard line!!!!!😉 Those were the days. -
Not 100% sure it is right, but just was on CBSSPORTSLINE and making my pool picks and with the proliferation of electronic resale market they show the cost of tickets. While sure expensive tickets (i.e. good seats) for other teams maybe more, Buffalo tickets start at $229 (closest is Raiders/Cardinals game). Cheapest is going to Dallas(😝) & Jax (no surprise) $29 & Los Angeles Rams <$40....

Do you guys not have a sense of humour? I'm having fun..... But yes 11 days between games is a long time. By the way I've always supported Allen (feel free to check my history😜). How many of you were ready to toss them aside and if that was the case then we'd have plenty of 1:00 pm games??? -

Actually I did clean the garage on Sunday and watched some garbage games (NE vs. Miami.....)....... -

Absolutely wrong, sure your hate for all things Boston has tainted you. Yes, Red Sox, Pats & Celtics sometimes can get grating...... It is what it is. The Ringer has some of the best writing on the net and great Podcasts. -

Of course he is and yes that is exactly what I said. While Buffalo will win the division, he has KC to go to the SB. Like Bills fans did not want NE winning SB's, Simmons does too undervalue the Bills..... But yes loves Allen... -
It's now only Tuesday and still 6 days 'til Monday night. For years it was very simple, the Bills Sunday @ 1:00 (unless the West Coast) and you prepared appropriately. This year 6 games not in the traditional Sunday 1:00 or 4:00 pm slot. We've now had 4-5 days since the Rams game and another 6 'til Tenn..... At least afterwards we get into a nice groove of Sunday games (though an early bye wk 7). Really nothing much to post here either as everyone is on a high. Just listened to Bill Simmons and yes he had a warning/comment to Bills fans (and yes he is a NE fan so will be some sour grapes, but he is right).... Act like you've been there and don't get too high (or low).
-
There's something about NE that makes them a perennial topic on OBD. I know I have to read the thread, but we should just forget about them here and be looking at who the Bills should be competing against this year (i.e. Balt, KC, LAC, Den.....) and upcoming opponents. Yes every NE loss and the offense looking bad brings a smile to my face, but shouldn't be a thread here.
-
Yes what I was trying to say was that Mahomes has never won a game under the opposition's home field in the playoffs. The Super Bowl is in neutral field. It is the stupidity of other people trying to come up with something to denigrate Allen. So what happens if Buffalo does win the Superbowl and has home field advantage I guess he still wouldn't have won a game on the road.
-
And Bills fans don't need to always take it personally. I listen to Bill always and he tries to talk himself into things, especially concerning his Boston teams. Since the Bills are in their division, he always tries hard and already tried to talk "down" Allen. Expect Sunday he'll be saying something different (dependent on how Mac does vs. the Dolphins). Again never let the highs be too high or the lows too low.....
