  1. Love when someone puts an X by one of my comments. I see Rochester fan has decided because I disagree and do blame the coaching primarily that obviously I must be wrong. I guess I should search out all his post and put X's as well?🤣😜
  2. Regardless it will always be a albatross round McD's neck. Reed had the same issues until KC won, and now it is in the rearview mirror. So much so that even the meltdown last year vs. Cincy has been for the most part ignored. Let's have the Bills win it all this year and we can slowly let it fade into the sunset.
  3. Or they are so worn down by the heat they can barely think......
  4. I was searching threads I started looking for something and found this. Seems there often are these that just want to put Lamar ahead of Allen. This would have been prior to the Balt vs. Buf playoff game in 2021. Sure someone in Baltimore has some putting Josh ahead of Lamar too....
  5. Appreciate the concern. Actually went back to check all the threads I have started and I never really do about McD. But when people deflect from McD (especially 13 seconds), yes it bothers me (and heck I think 95% he is doing a great job).
  6. Do you have an alert when I post..... Is it the bat signal?????😉 Having my weekend fun as people still try to defend 13 seconds..... Onto the Pittsburgh game???? I promise I'm not starting any Coaching Threads....
  7. Please stop about the KC game, it was a colossal coaching blunder. Wallace was just one part of it. No one covering Kelce or Hill (on first down too) was on the coaching. As for Miami. You maybe right, but just stupidity all around. McKenzie caught the ball in the middle of the field. Coaching, like Hill on first down vs. vs. Buffalo dictates get as far straight ahead and get down. Agree with the snap bobble, but I think Allen had control and could throw it OB or spike it still..... More bad luck overall. But stop trying to blame anyone but the coaching vs. KC.
  8. It's useless to debate this. 13 seconds and KC did what no team has ever done before and cost the Bills the game. there were three plays (the kickoff and two Mahomes passes) & the Bills used 2 timeouts and screwed up royally on each one. I see 7 Bills in the pictures, where were the other 4???? But let's look at Milano's play on second down vs. The Ravens..... What a call!!!! For the 150th time, McD has grown on me & generally makes good calls, unfortunately he has gagged on a # at crucial times.
  9. It's a pattern here. When thigs go well, it's "Look how great the play calling and McD are". When things not so good, well they bury their heads. Those 13 seconds were a minimum 90% on the coaches.
  10. Huh???? It was a great play, I agree 100%. But yes it was cherry picking a play. Can I complain about bad defense on 3rd & 8 and 12 during that drive?😉
  11. Yes one score games are 50/50 as one team wins and a team loses. The Bills are a winning team with a great QB, so yes I used good teams and great QBs. So I will only compare the Bills under those criteria. This is a SB contender. If you want to compare them to the Commanders, Texans, Jax, Jets, Giants...... Go ahead.
  12. Cherry picking is my favourite thing to do..... Yes a great play and a great call..... All this after Baltimore marched 95 yards and converted two third and long plays. There are so many plays in a game that can be singled out. Thankfully Lamar missed open receivers on third & fourth down or this play would have been forgotten. Important play at an important time.
  13. Teams that are good, with very good/great QBs generally win those games because they are capable of leading those "winning" drives late in the game and the team is too very good. Again the whole idea about "Not having the mentality to win" I did not ascribe to. All I did was say was don't take this so personally and that yes the Bills haven't done well. And yes short yardage running was an issue, along with some bad luck and yes I'll say it over and over, some questionable coaching. Just seems like a # of things. Finally vs. Baltimore on Sunday they did everything correct and won.
  14. Look we're all Bills fans and want them to win. While I too agree 2021 was just horrible in terms of luck, be it weather vs. NE and a Slip on a wet night in Tennessee, there too were some bad calls..... Diggs was held on 3rd down in TB as an example. Hail Murray just was (but the Bills left points out there too). I was not arguing about the thread, just commenting how personally some people take it (and criticism of the Bills and often coaching). And why have the Bills played the fewest? When they were bad year 1-2 with McD and questionable QB'ing, they were really bad, and now with Allen, when good, they are really good. Appreciate the olive branch, and hope I can extend one too.
  15. 26-14 since Mahomes was a starter..... Now you went to 8 points (that's two scores, td and 2-pt conversion)..... Regardless a very good winning record. I'm taking out the Bills 5-1 season too, just because..... Makes them 13-19, which is really bad......
  16. Actually I just checked the New England Patriots (Brady 2014-19), Kansas City Chiefs (above), Tennessee Titans, New Orleans Saints (last 5 Brees years),and Green Bay Packers. I looked at 5 years. NE 23-13 (Brady years 2015-19) .639 GB 24-15 .615 NO 19-15 .559 Tenn 30-17 .638 KC 26-12 .684 Buff 18-20 .474 Chose them as all have/had great quarterbacks like Allen and their winning records (Tannehill being the outlier, and GB and NO had losing seasons in the review). Just went through all one score games and guess what? All teams won at at least a .559 to .684 winning percentage. Includes playoffs. But of course the fact that the Bills are under .500 shouldn't be a concern and of course means that it is an outlier and just bad luck, right? By what I just said it seems good teams win close games. So please explain how I am wrong in my assessment???? All the above are winning teams and they had winning records every year or at worst were .500.
  17. You got to be kidding. The title of the thread is "we don't have the mentality to win close games". When compared to Kansas City I say the thread is correct (though i did no cment or give an opinion, just stated stats and facts). Let me guess numbers don't matter to you as I have just shown Kansas City is winning those games and the Bills are not based on their record? Talk about obtuse
  18. Again KC wins close games, Buffalo does not. If KC had Buffalo's record in close game, they'd be on the road in the playoffs. Bills winning % is .592 under McD, but only .474 in 1 score games (thanks to the 2 back door covers😝) KC's is .684 in close games, which is in line with their overall record. How much simpler can I make it.
  19. I already said that I made a mistake. Now I'm sure KC's record in close games is an outlier too according to you & Teef?????😉😝
  20. Huh..... Looked at the whole career and it is a losing record and the team has a great w/l record. Here's the random example KC with Mahomes as their QB (as that is the team we're striving to beat), they are 26-12 in close games..... A lot more then the Bills and a record that is in line with their overall record. I'm tired, you want to try some other winning teams and see their results? Sure they will be similar.
  21. Your #'s are slightly off (surprise in your favour) Including playoffs 2017 5-3 2018 3-3 2019 4-6 2020 5-1 2021 0-6 2022 1-1 (thread started prior to the win) Again overall 18-20 <.500 and Bills Record overall 55-37
  22. And you've shown none but have claimed the word "Outlier" to defend your position. Again I did not blame the coaching on the majority of the losses (since that seems to be what irks people here). I do however hold them responsible in the games vs. KC, TB & Miami (and to a lesser extent NE) when talking about late game decisions/calls. I get it, but this is a circular argument & I'm talking only the end of games. Want me to recall a play from the first quarter I disagreed with? It's 60 minutes & I get it.
  23. Good for you, and I won't disagree, but as per the Thread and my personal opinion, it is when you are on pins & needles that last drive. I have used the back door cover comment and said I wasn't worried the last 5 minutes with Miami or the Raiders & more just upset that the Bills were scored on and only concerned as to recovering the onside kick (in 2020 the % recovered was 4%, in 2021 15%).
  24. One score is a close game to me if the opposing team has the ball in the last 2-3 minutes and a chance to tie or win. Yes a tie game in the fourth (or within three) and then a team pulls away can be close too, but is not the same nail-biter as your team up by 3-7 and the opposing team with the ball with 3 minutes to go or you down by 3-7 with the ball in the same situation. And of course a tie. So next someone will try and use the argument that a 3-7 point spread no longer close after a pick-6 in the last minute. As we know watching the Bills, that has not happened in the last 5-7 seasons I'm quite sure. When I too cited every other good teams' records in 2021 as being winning in these one score scenarios, I did not do a deep dive, just looked for those games <7. I did however remember many of the games, especially OT or late wins/losses of FG's or TDs.
  25. Maybe that is "his mechanics". If he doesn't make that throw the Bills are punting and probably a completely different conversation this week.
