  1. Yes that is a given, but we are seeing game defining calls of late. The worst have resulted in rule changes and many deciding games. Today's flavour is RTP, which 100% is the result of Miami allowing Tua back the second half vs. Buffalo. The Brady & Carr RTP's were absolute jokes.
  2. Never said anything of the sort. However stating a concern. Hypervigilance on my part after those ridiculous RTP calls on the weekend (and that holding make-up call on the FG attempt). A few PI's too on Monday could have been deemed 50/50.
  3. That's the worst case scenario, but yes I will be holding my breath every time the qb is hit.
  4. Regardless when a QB is hit now, you do look to see if a flag will be thrown. What we are seeing is flags thrown on clean sacks. Heck Jones already had the ball before Carr went to the ground. Brady was a text book sack and nothing violent at all about it.
  5. He got hit after the pass and I still haven't seen an angle that did not appear to show him not hit in the head. In any case it was a 1st down not a 3rd down play that would have resulted in a field goal try. Add to that Allen was hit late a number of times that game and that was the 1st call the refs made.
  6. You're right I forgot that one however like Monday Tit for Tat and they evened out.
  7. Hey I wanted KC to beat LV Monday and the call before half-time was atrocious. Next morning I see the makeup call on the Phantom hold. So I guess somehow I see it as a make up call. To me it is what has the NFL become. 50/50 calls are one thing however lately some of these calls are just egregious.
  8. This is what the NFL has become. A huge game on Sunday and after every play I'll be wondering if a flag will be thrown or not. QBs will be hit there'll be lots of tight coverage (was that a hold?) in the secondary and the olines will be pressured and the question will be if the refs throw flags or not. 2020 a lot was made as to how handsy the Chiefs secondary was. Last year I did not notice the refs in either game ( one being a blowout). After this week's reffing debacles I just don't know what to expect.
  9. It's part of the narrative every time. I can't stand it. 2-3X's/year the Bills seem to have decent weather. Every game I go to I have layers and fingers crossed at to what effect the elements will play.
  10. It is a narrative. I can't stand that almost weekly weather in a Bills game is a talking point. Three games already this year weather was a factor to some extent (Miami, Baltimore & Pitt) and may or may not have paid some factor. Last year two losses were weather related (Tenn & NE). And yes Orchard Park seems to be affected way too much. Is any team as affected by weather more so then Buffalo?
  11. I was told about this, but this is my first time seeing it. Didn't wait for Gabe to cross the goal line and was flexing.....
  12. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Can't blame the call to go for two (like Baltimore going for the TD). Looks like the Refs cost KC 7 points the first half and then gave it back to them. Fingers crossed that come Sunday, this will not be the point of discussion. I am sure though there will be complaints about holds throughout however. All because the Miami team doctor cleared Tua for the second half..... Talk about dominoes falling (not pizza).
  13. Why Miami (or those effected by the heat, wouldn't just install covered seats on opposing sidelines (or both) with ac or similar, I don't know. Should be mandated by the NFL. Been to a few baseball games in extreme heat & sun & that is too unbearable. Yes they mention the weather because it is worth mentioning and has affected way too many games. Even cold is fine if there is no wind. Wind creates havoc with the ball and makes things unpleasant.
  14. Well they did allow a rookie QB in his his first NFL start to thrown for 324 yards (5th highest ever). SO maybe someone can start a thread about that (I'll pass).....😉
  15. Teef has the most thought provoking and comprehensive analysis on the site. He's an American treasure. The next time he posts a cogent opinion will be his first....
  16. Of course I was having fun. What the heck do you think the title of the thread? I was hoping some people would have fun with it however I guess not.
  17. Again how anyone can post anything on TSW that is worth discussing or anything more than conjecture this week is beyond me??? I am having fun and yes stating the obvious.
  18. Didn't take you long..... As I expected. Geez can't understand sarcasm? The fact that I even called my post a LAMP should have given you some idea. Right in the title. I guess that wasn't a dead giveaway?
  19. The Bills showed what they are capable of vs. Pittsburgh (though they left 17-21 points on the field😆). We know TSW will have league updates, trade rumours and discussion about injuries. People will post as to what they think will happen versus Kansas City and so on and so forth. Good news is there'll be no conversation or should be none about coaching or play calling for a week. Now go out and beat Kansas City and put on a display for everyone.
  20. Bad pick and missed an open Diggs on a td pass. Add in some tipped balls as the Lamar backers would point out.....🤣
  21. I think after two sub-par performances scoring, the Bills take it out on the Steelers. I do think they will try & run the ball, but Dorsey wants the offense humming going into KC. Pitt will be protecting their rookie QB, which will have the defense licking their chops. Weather may be the only issue.
  22. Why are you quoting me? I asked for no heads on a platter or have in any of these threads. I just simply said the coaches blew it in a # of ways and please quit (some people here) absolving them. Mahomes did not make great passes or calls. They were as simple plays as any qb could have. And let's not forget about the kickoff too. Yes I was apoplectic about how the coaches botched those 13 seconds and any time there someone tries to defend it I get my back up. It was indefensible.
  23. Still Lamar and Mahomes love and then Foxworthy..... C'mon..... Anyone but Allen seems to some people's view.
  24. Any time it is brought up and the coaches are defended over 13 seconds (particularly McD) it needs a response. The coaches and calls were atrocious. This is something that has never happened before yet many here love to slough it off and absolve McD. Since I had not been on the site since February I did not realise that 13 seconds now is Wallace's fault.😉
  25. I expect the offense picks it up this week and there's still the memory of last year. Add a rookie quarterback and a team that can't move the ball this game had better not be close.
