Of course they did. They played lights out and this is the problem here, people don't want to admit some pretty obvious issues. We can all agree that Allen is not himself, but all expect him to bounce back (because if he doesn't this team is toast). Yesterday they did a good job on Chubb, but Cleveland botched a FG, didn't convert in the redzone, Bills got lucky on a bad snap (fumble) and stopped them on 4th down. I more then anyone want the defense to play better, but hard to watch. BTW look at what other Defenses did yesterday Balt, NYJ, NE, Dallas, Washington.... When we have needed the Defense to come up big vs. NYJ & Minn, they did not.

No it doesn't......😉 Not the point. People here love to take sides and the apologists for McD continue to always double down. I have no crusade at all, I just point out facts and it is pretty obvious that the defense has not done the job when called upon. The Bills are 7-3 & yes we know Allen really has been really out of sorts of late, but the defense was as much or more to blame then Allen vs. NYJ & Minnesota.

I think it's clear that Zach Wilson is a bust

Won last time out. It was a joke, but the fact he looked decent last time was concerning. -

Better answer would be "Bring on the Bills" -
And Dallas went into Minnesota and allowed 3 points...... Yea I get injuries, but they have been meh to bad of late. Quit grasping at straws.....

That was the point. He made plays when needed, completed 72% of his passes and made big plays, including a game winning 86 yard drive. But more then competent vs. the Bills defense. -
Jets scored 3 today however vs. the Bills walked up and down the field. Yes 20 points but TOP they manhandled the Bills. No way Wilson should have done that vs. them.

After a week not looking at the board, this was the first thread I saw and yes they have not been good. Think I started one a while ago and was told how wrong I was. They are hard to watch. Every QB torches them (though points may not always be scored) and allowing everyone to look good. They make some big plays plays & stops, but that masks that overall they've been weak and cost them the Minnesota & NYJ games.

The "non-interception" by Edmunds

And yes that changed the entire tenure of the game. But to me the non-hold on Dawkins the final two-minutes sealed it. Two plays, both cost the Bills 35 yards field position and one 7 minute of game time. -
Not disagreeing, but the Defense was not good vs. the Jets is my point. Yes they allowed only 20 points but allowed Wilson & the Jets to control the ball & clock, which I'm convinced is the reason for Allen's second pick after sitting on the sideline for a 9 minute drive. BTW you forgot to mention the phantom hold on fist down (finally watched the replay and absolutely no hold) and Diggs caught the ball inside the 50.

Coaching Staff has to take a huge blame for yesterday
Billsfan1972 replied to BillyBilliams's topic in The Stadium Wall
Again allowing the Jest these dink & dunk drives lies on the coaches, but some here take it personally when they are mentioned (especially McD). Regardless the Bills were not particularly sharp vs. Balt, Miami second half vs. GB and the Jets. Sorry this team should be scoring 40+ a game, but the opposition now has the blueprint, which is time consuming drives and keep Buffalo's Offence off the field and then they panic and want to score. -
Allowing long, time consuming drives, whether points or not, put the offense in a hole. Really Wilson & the Jets picked apart the Bills Defense. That's a bad look. I posted this thread like yesterdays, because little has been made of the Defense being gashed the last 6 quarters. Can only imagine Belichek looking forward and Mac Jones doing the same.

Again no one wants to blame the Defense. They have allowed offenses to gash them. Yes Allen has had a bad 6 quarters, but when the Defense allows Wilson (really Chad) to grind out 7-8 minute drives, that is not great. This is the new blueprint vs. the Bills, keep the offense off the field and yes when they finally get on the field that get Antsy (Allen & Dorsey) and want points. Surprise, always defending the Coaches.
