  1. Serious question. How so? I found a couple of interesting stats (QB's in second year in SB) and Youngest SB QBs. Do I think JA should have been in it Year 2? Absolutely not. The fact 17 made Superbowls younger the him certainly indicates it is doable and his age & experience should not be questioned. But yes I get tired of everyone using the "Project" excuse. I was of the mind throw him in and let him make mistakes and get better. McD thought Peterman was the better qb to start 2018.
  2. Keep repeating that line over & over. Never get's old. Here's others to look at. https://dknation.draftkings.com/2022/2/11/22922096/super-bowl-history-quarterbacks-second-year-joe-burrow-bengals-vs-rams https://www.ranker.com/list/youngest-quarterbacks-super-bowl-history/pedro-cerrano Josh is 26..... That would make him 18th on the list if they make it this year. I think it's time.....😝
  3. They were the favourites heading into the season & still should be. I don't want to hear excuses. As said the Bills have been off since the bye (something seemed to happen come the second half vs. GB), but no reason they shouldn't "return to form". An earlier thread said from 2002-19 the AFGC was represented by Manning Brady & Roethlisberger all but 2X's. 2020-21 Mahomes & Burrow in 2022. I will be very upset with anything less then a SB appearance by Buffalo (and yes Josh Allen can start that run like above).
  4. Yes McD's fault. Look at the list of qb's 2017-19 who were able to do it and are scrubs. No it is 8-10 of you,but you are a loud mob. And yes I fall for it and respond.
  5. Simply put no other team in the NFL went beyond one year not throwing for 300 yards. The Bills (MdcD coached)managed to do that for three straight years.
  6. I hated how they used it to describe McD. Every coach should be implementing culture and strong work environment. And know when I get into something it's almost always with the pro McD crowd. As said take a look at the thread's I started. Most are pretty damn tame, and not terribly negative. Fine I'm out.
  7. Have I ever said replace McD? What I always said about him was I didn't like his handling of the offense and hated the "Culture" crap. I am eternally optimistic about the Bills and maybe that is why when they don't perform to expectations I get upset. As said look at the threads, none I would call overly controversial or so negative. People get mad when I posted being upset at the Weather or said something as controversial as "Don't have the Refs influence the game". As I said read the titles and tell me what is so off-putting to some?
  8. Here's a list of all the threads I started. Tell me how many have been so negative. https://www.twobillsdrive.com/community/profile/24993-billsfan1972/content/?type=forums_topic&change_section=1 I know my threads are not 100% positive, but none actually have been hypercritical (outside the 13 second fiasco). For the most part I am not down on the coaching or a whole lot, just point out issues or what I think can be improved. I know Oldmanfan will go back to the 300 yard comments (which I still am gobsmacked that McD did not have a 300 yard passing game the first first three years as coach) and the fact the Bills were a hard team to watch and right at the bottom offensively those three years.
  9. No I'm told by the same 5-6 McD fans. I get it, this is a pro Bills & McD site. Just this thread with 85% positive emojis for the thread author or this one 88 Positive responses (0 negative). It is TSW and many of the posters. A few will say different and are drowned out. Sorry this should be Buffalo's year and they've been a little off since the bye.
  10. Mental gymnastics??? You just pulled a Simone Biles. If you just think the Bills are one of a number of teams with SB aspirations, than yep you can be happy. This was the pre-season SB favorite, the overwhelming pick after week two and solidified that after the KC game. Since then they've been okay. Quit crowing about beating the Pats (I know Buffalo inferiority complex). It was a good win (against a borderline Playoff team), but frankly far from dominating. The Bills haven't had a real good game since KC.
  11. And you've confirmed my argument. The Bills destroyed the Titans week 2. Philly has had two very convincing offensive performances after two bad games vs. Washington & Indy. This is what I've gone on about the Bills, they've not put together a complete game since the bye. I had a thread stating that from Halftime of the GB game they were bad (when I posted it was 6 quarters and the loss to the Jets). Then came the Viking loss where they blew a 17 point lead and were not that great vs. Cleveland or Detroit either. NE was okay, but some issues there too. I want to see a full 60 minutes (or at least until they let up in the fourth). Example is Dallas destroying Minnesota, where the Cowboys offense costed the last 20 minutes, but the defense didn't let up.
  12. The point is haven't really seen a complete game from the Bills in quite a while. Hoping for them the next two weeks at home vs. two teams that beat them.
  13. "Ooh ooh, Teef, did you see how I schooled Billsfan1972?"😝 And I don't come on every week all upset and complaining. The Bills I have said have been off since the bye week. Now when people talk about SB favourites, the Bills are mentioned, but they are no longer the prohibative favouries, which they were after the KC game. Maybe a a good thing, but yes they haven't been "running on all cylinders" and as opposed to Teef, I think it is important they do have a few blowouts before the playoffs.
  14. Doesn't fit some people's narrative. They are a decent team, not great, a lot of flaws, but by no means bad. It was a good win as I said in the other thread. Not a great one. Am hoping for the Bills to roll through their last 5 games (Cincy won't be easy). BTW that's how a fan thinks (be positive, which I am prior to every game).
  15. Grow up...... I start a thread or two, last one pointing out a concern I had watching the NE game and you get all upset and troll when I post. Yes I want to see the Bills return to the form they showed early in the season (and end of 2021 & the 13-3 2020 season too). Yes unrealistically I saw a team like the 2007 Pats (and some others did too). https://www.espn.com/nfl/team/schedule/_/name/ne/season/2007
  16. Geez I said in another thread (that I started) that it was a good win. I also said I was concerned about OL blocking (yes primarily Quessenberry as he stood out like a sore thumb) and an inordinate amount of drops. I want as said for the Bills to assert themselves as they did at the end of 2021 and early this year (Miami game notwithstanding). Still in a post Bye funk and want to see Allen back to his old self.
  17. They are 6-6..... Please stop that the Pats are such a good team. Mac is not a good QB right now. A nice win, but yes I'd like more points on offense. NE has one real quality win vs. Detroit (before they found their mojo/stride) and yes 2 vs. Wilson & the Jets, but others were Pitt, Colts & Browns..... Let's hope better vs. the Jets.
  18. And you know that was all early in the season when the Bills destroyed Rams, Titans & Steelers..... I get it, but yes I want to see a dominating performance. Just been disjointed since the bye.
  19. Huh? Joked that some will use the Miller injury as a defense. The thing is I'm so high on the Bills, that yes the fact games have been too close of late (or losses) has been a bother. Take a look at Philly destroying Tenn or Dallas vs Minny & that is what I expect from Buffalo. You are right on the fumble. To me that meant a veteran QB and better support for him and people to learn from. This was not a Superbowl contender and the worry with McD was on the offensive side of the ball. Over & done with and we are here now with Allen. I thought they could have accelerated the learning curve and had him doing some things earlier and a better offensive core. But all is good right now.
  20. Well good thing he didn't learn from Peterman.....😆
  21. Now the excuse is Von Miller. I still have faith that they will win it but excuses are lining up perfectly right now. It's not just his passing it's his legs that make the difference. Because we know someone will say Green Bay and I'd say put him in there and the threat of the run and let's see what happens.
  22. Enough rehashing the Bills narrative from 2018. I will just say that McD had no patience or interest in the Offense his first 3 years. JMHO, let's leave it at that. Now you maybe okay with a first round loss this year, but others are not as these are heady times for Bills fans. I do expect the top seed and SB appearance. You seem not so bothered by it.
  23. And there was no way the 1990 Bills should have lost the SB. And yes as big a fan I was of Marv, he bares a lot of the blame in that he didn't have the Bills prepared that week (way too much fun), the defense allowed too much underneath and allowed the Giants to control the ball and the last drive was like they were stuck in molasses and should have been a minimum 10 yards closer. The Bills did not have a starting QB that year. Let me repeat Peterman. Do you not understand what that means? I also have posted so many times that I thought they brought Allen along way too conservatively and had no pieces ready to help him (i.e. a veteran QB or WRs) in his rookie season.
  24. I too want McD raising the Lombardi this year!!!! Hope that make Teef & Royale with Cheese happy......😝😉
  25. Again I never have made a thing about the play. If anything it was OT and the Allen pick that to me really made no sense and still never clearly explained what happened there. To me the play seemed off and I was just mentioning more so the Tennessee snafu. Teef ignore this as I'm not debating the sneak. Edit I just watched the fumble and it appears Allen wasn't under center. How does that happen?
