  1. 30th in yards, 75th in catches, 61st In targets (huge jump the last two weeks with bad throws by TT and 175th in YAC... Still disappointing and a long long way to go.
  2. And to me Roman is to blame and Whaley, Watkins and some here 100% correct to be pissed at how he has been utilized.
  3. And no YAC with an OC who calls plays where Watkins is no more then a decoy. When TT looks at Watkins, he throws to him, otherwise he isn't involved. I cant remember a play where TT looks off a DB and throws to Watkins. Geez when TT rolls out Watkins is on the other side of the field. In addition nothing over the middle, no passes in space and he's never hidden. How does OBJ seem to have catches every game in space or wide open? Yesterday he drops a wide open TD on a simple pattern and the last drive a catch and run for 40 yards. The prior week he's 15 yards open on an 87 yard TD. Every Watkins catch is in tight coverage.
  4. And still it seemed to ignored Watkins (or didn't read coverage) way too often. Watkins should have had a dozen catches today with the bills so far behind. I think the chemistry has a long way to go (or Roman just refuses to call plays for Watkins). Example today is Antonio Brown and the Steelers comeback. 16 catches!!!
  5. No we need an OC who knows what he is doing. Until I see some creativity on offense, in addition to be able to run a 2-minute drill, I'll cut TT some slack. I swear he hasn't had an audible all year or actually changed a play at the line. You watch and he seems to be lost out there. BTW when does it look like he surveys the field or looks to Watkins on a play. You can tell almost every time that SW will not be involved in a play They were down 21-0 and the play calling I swear was that it was a 7 point game. Only the 2 play 85 yard drive had any semblance of urgency.
  6. Yes a lot of things to complain about, but sorry Watkins again not utilized. 5 catches, 2 TDs and 111 yards are nice #'s. TT also missed him wide open, which would have been another td. A wasted first half again. The last quarter hey threw it to him 2X's and didn't even look his way..... I watch SW closely and you can see how few plays are called for him. Down 21-0 and they are still playing their same offense. I haven't seen a play called at the los. TT I see looking the other way and they never send him in motion.
  7. Shh that makes sense. But Watkins isn't brown and tt isn't ben.
  8. And they lead the league in 3 & outs with a 6-6 record. Wow
  9. No one should be happy ranking in the bottom 4 in any stats (and don't be a smartass and say turnovers, sacks allowed.....). I'd also add 2-point conversions, 3 & outs, yac and lack of targets to Sammy Watkins.
  10. I thought the Bills had a Defense too. I only used Seattle as they were struggling. What I'm saying is the Bills seem to be the only team in the NFL thrilled to be ranked 29th-31st in the league as are many posting here.
  11. Not allowed to dream. Everyone shooting down points here are excited about 6-6 and see no room for improvement. BTW Seattle was sputtering but have finally opened up the passing game and last 4 have 240, 260, 345 & 274 (and YAC with a lousy receiving core)....... Meanwhile 240 for Buffalo is considered otherworldly. http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/team/_/stat/passing/sort/netPassingYardsPerGame This is a league where you should be throwing for 275+/game...... It is not 972 (as per my name).......
  12. And 31st in the league in pass attempts 29th in yards. Only Seattle less, but more yards. Is this not an issue for a 6-6 team..... Don't you expect more?
  13. Yup I have an agenda..... Really??? I want to see the Bills maximize their offense Watkins get targets and run in the open field. Boy terrible that I want to cheer him on and see his potential and skill maximized.....
  14. They're smarter then us..... Watkins is 108th in targets in the NFL. They are lulling the opposition to sleep.....
  15. There are so many coaches who do not get it and are slow to change. Roman is one. It is obvious. Watkins went public and asked for 10 targets and the most he's got was 8 They don't listen (nor seem to care). He is seldom moved and the patterns all look the same. Rex said that they would be conservative on offense, since the defense was so dominant and TT throws as few passes as anyone in the NFL. Bills should have been up 14 on KC at half and then in the second half threw like 10 times..... Watkins had 6 catches 163 yards and they forgot about him the second half...... It was pathetic. The offense has been good, but could be so much better.
  16. So the fastest receiver in the NFL is 207th in yac...... Think about it...... Roman has no idea what to do with him. Usually it is Sammy raising his arm that he's open.
  17. How about the Defense forcing three & outs like the opposition does against the Bills? They started out great vs. KC & then KC shredded them. Then the Offense forgot Sammy Watkins played for the Bills. The issue over and over is that the Bills don't adjust and seem to not take what the D will give them. Outside furious comebacks vs. NE & Jax (still losses), in close games the Bills in the second half have been Meh.....
  18. And prior two weeks down by a TD with the ball we went nowhere..... The 2 minute offense vs. NE was pathetic. The second half vs. KC was putrid (as was NYJ). Not blaming TT at all. Blaming terrible playcalling and forgetting Watkins is on the Bills. The Houston game was a great run by McCoy and a blown coverage...... All credit goes to TT for reading it and making the play.
  19. Agreed. But the real issue is that Rex touted this Defense as the #1 in the FL and they are far from it. He then expected that the O would be below average at best but could rely on the D. That hasn't been the case and they haven't addressed it with play calling. That the Bills are last in YAC and that SW one of the most dynamic receivers after the catch in college is 207th in the NFL is unfathomable. Add to that the inability to run a hurry-up offense, SW and no where near enough targets, convert 3rd & shorts + most 3 & outs in the league there is plenty of room for improvement.
  20. I forgot that harvin was thrown screens and passes at the line of scrimmage but the bills can't figure out to throw those to watkins. This is just ridiculous. 2 passes the second half the last two tight games is just wrong. NE bills got the ball with 2 minutes and drove 30 yards in that time. Vs. KC again the ball again with a chance and went nowhere (jax too) Short yardage calls terrible too.
  21. And they are 6-6...... Let's have a parade. Doesn't it get old after a while? This has been pretty much the same old same old.... The pre-season issues was all about could the offense do enough as the Bills had a #1 defense. The defense has won them one game this year (Tennessee)..... Wow they beat Hoyer & the dominant Texans at home..... Sorry that I expect more.
  22. 211 yards passing 160 going into the last drive does not do it in the NFL the majority of weeks. The Bills gave up 21 points and 400 yards. This was not a dominant offensive game and part of the blame is they do not Target Sammy 2 targets the last two weeks in the second half. 12 in the last two games. The fact he has on 12 targets 272 yards is staggering. This is not the same game as 1995 where 211 yards was considered a big game.
  23. How about learning from it? I was making an observation that the D was not very good on Sunday. I expected much better this year. Been very disappointed and they are the primary reason the Bills lost a # of games this year.
  24. They have been mediocre at best, and much of the time below average. Little pressure, few sacks and lack of big plays. The good news is they are not NO. But coming into this season they were being touted (rumblings at least) as one of the all time most dominant. Even when they make a play I'm waiting for a yellow flag. Sunday at home Houston put up over 400 yards and almost stole the game. That being said what bothers me the most watching the Bills D (and many in the NFL) is how they react when they make a play. No one like Barry Sanders anymore "Act like you've been there"..... Every play they make they over react and fist pump and make a big deal about. They did not play well and if not for a couple of big hits knocking the ball out and the last Houston drive they were mediocre in Ralph Wilson Stadium against a below average offense.
