  1. I'll judge him being a 5th round rookie draft choice. The chances of being serviceable may occur year 2-3 and that is a longshot too.....
  2. No the worst was Peterman and 5 ints. Taylor was 9-18 No rthym and a dropped perfect pass to to Thompson when the game was still close. Afterwards it was just run run run. Taylor was bad vs. NO. Peterman was a sad joke vs. LAC.
  3. We have an OC who has said he's implementing his system and the it's up to the qb to play it, which is ridiculous. The OC's job is to maximize the strengths of all 11 on offense, most important being the qb. The HO & coach take away his best receiver (by a mile), who he has had success with and then the vet they signed walks out on the team. Any answers for that one?
  4. This is part of the larger debate that McDermott & Beane did whatever they could to handcuff the Bills offense and Tyrod. The trade was terrible and imo led to the next domino of Boldin walking away. An offense that doesn't maximize their QB's strength, trading his most dynamic receiver who he was building a good rapport with, putting him under center, asking him to stay in the pocket........ Mistake after mistake after mistake.
  5. No Goff (and McVay) have........ I said it elsewhere but if he stays healthy through the end of the season someone will pay him $10,000,000+ and hopefully not to be a decoy...... Can't catch what's not thrown at you (1 drop this season if people want to know).........
  6. And I would have rather had a full season of Watkins........ You have to pay for talent.
  7. And why exactly? Pop-Warner Football, High School, The Heisman caliber 2-year College career? 56% passing in pre-season or the drive vs. NO down 44? He is a rookie 5th rounder........
  8. Bang on........ Could you imagine if Belichek in 2017 implemented a running mobile qb game plan and announced to the world that is what Tom Brady will be running....... Defies logic.
  9. And from Sammy Watkins...... THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. -- Sammy Watkins has a saying. A belief, actually. "Ninety-percent of the time, I feel like I'm open," he said. "The other 10 percent, some s--- go bad with the quarterback; a sack or something like that. But 90 percent of the time, I feel like I'm open." If that's the case, now is the time for the Los Angeles Rams to find him. He sees it the same way I do.......
  10. Anyone who bought that Peterman gave them the best chance at winning are probably surveying swampland in Florida as we speak.
  11. He's a fifth round daft choice. They are seldom ready for much besides backing up good quarterbacks for a # of years, learning and maybe, maybe if lucky get a chance to win a starting job 4 years later. He was not and will not be ready. Again if happy to tank 2018, then so be it........ I'm not. And the NFL is about strong agile QB's with arms........ Talk about the blind leading the blind.
  12. How are those light years better then Tyrod when he has a better line, receivers, offensive coordinator and had a running back. Guess what also..... He's been lousy the last two weeks & the Cowboys are in a fight for a playoff spot. Maybe time to bench him. I like him too, just not great yet.
  13. How often do we read this crap? The experts do know better. They are paid that for a reason. They may debate whether he is the future or not and that is fair. A fifth round pick better then a first round pick......, 100X's better????? I watch the Bills and see a terrible offensive scheme and not sure how much Tyrod is to blame. We now see Dax and that he may not be the second coming when the line not as good and missing his RB.
  14. Beane & McDermott don't want millionaires...... They ship them out....... Watkins, Dareus, Darby........
  15. I feel terrible for not following this thread and continually bogged down in others. Very smart discussion here. I never bought the Beane, McDermott Koolaid. All I asked was for a chance to see if Taylor was a good Qb. Putting in an offensive scheme no one run successfully drives me crazy. The countless posts & threads that I've made explaining that to be good you need a passing offense capable of 250+ yards/wk and not just when trying to come back. I was excited at the idea of Watkins finally being thrown to (4 straight passes in the preseason game) and healthy, a good prospect in Jones, Clay and veteran in Boldin said maybe they were turning the corner. Then they blew it up and started the "Selling the Future" line. How a team that has been between 7-9 & 9-7 the past # of years sold fans that it is better we go 4-12, then aim for the playoffs (17 years and counting) is preposterous and turned me off the team early this year. The Carolina game was beyond frustrating as Watkins & Boldin definitely would have made a difference (as they too would have vs. Cincy). SO now I'm back to false hope with Tyrod back in that they will be pissed and they'll actually take chances. Ready to be disappointed again.
  16. They traded Watkins, have tried to implement the worst possible offense for Taylor & decimated the Offense. Heck Boldin came here and as soon as the trade was made said sayonara........ Tells me something fundamentally wrong with the offense and the OC. How terrible the idea of winning is for some. Falling for the line that a .500 team had no shot....... Now Atlanta went from 8-8 in 2015 to the SB in 2016, New Orleans this year (7-9 in 2016), Dallas 4-12 2015 to 13-3, Philly, Oakland 7-9 to 12-4...... And this is not all about the QB's...... Coaching helps too, but in every case I've shown the Offenses all are good..... But Buffalo decided to decimate the Offense and no effort to improve the passing game (by passing the ball!!!!!).
  17. I saw no motion that confused me. Again you maybe right he can't audible or run a hurry up, which it seems 30 QB's in the NFL can. To me I am giving him the benefit of the doubt that he isn't that inept, until someone tells me otherwise. You see it is easy to tell if a QB has accuracy, throws the ball with zip, finesse or can throw a long ball..... Not so easy about what goes on between the ears. Tyrod I've seen throw many good bombs (see Watkins, Clay, Goodwin, Woods, Thompson) and seldom see him way off on those...... He has trouble on passes many qb's do. He throws a decent touch pass (see Shady's catches). As for his checkdowns and playcalling again I can't be 100% sure because the Bills consider a 220 yard passing game airing it out.....
  18. Until I see some unique offensive formation, audibles, movement at the LOS, more shotgun, not being able to call the play based on how they line-up at the LOS and utilising a hurry-up offense. Add some wr screens, quick throws when the coverage is 10 yards off, converting more third and shorts....... Seen none of this for 3 years and then I turn on other games and it is happening all the time.
  19. I like the phrase Petermanics..... I'd call them Petermaniacs...... I have stated in countless threads & posts that I really don't know what Taylor is as a qb, because the Bills have terrible pass schemes, unimaginative in their movement on the LOS, playcalling, no audibles from what I can tell, got rid of Watkins to screw the offense and to top it off tried to fit the round peg into a square hole (yes I am calling Taylor round). Yes I want to see a minimum of 250 yards passing (unless the team runs for 250-300 yards) too. Maybe Taylor is not the qb, but I wanted to at least see him given a chance. As I too have said, watch the Rams and Goff. Goff is much improved, but at least 50% of the credit is Fisher (maybe the worst NFL coach is gone) and McVay has installed a great offense with weapons, which means there are mismatches....... BTW see how much Gurley too has improved because of those weapons and offensive changes. Also Taylor played well vs. Denver and fine vs. Atl.
  20. Why because everyone knows Siemian stinks....... Same with Osweiler and the Broncos know it too and finally ready to move on with a HIGH DRAFT PICK. Denver is a big market and people watching the NFL care about the Broncos and yes barely a blip....... Why????? Because it was the right decision Now Buffalo few care about, yet when Peterman was announced it was a big story....... Why?????? Because it was a ridiculous move The result was even worse then 95% of the media expected and thus the Bills were pretty much the lead story on Monday...... Do you understand it now?
  21. He has been very pedestrian and the Giants are not scoring or moving the ball and the defense was atrocious and then beat KC...... Sound familiar? Yep grasping at straws and have hope.
  22. I'm saying that Eli has been hamstrung, the team has won 2 games and 2 games with under 130 yards passing (yes 1 win). The point was they beat KC and didn't have a TD. Just an observation.
  23. Here is something to digest. The NYG's have been obliterated the prior 3 weeks allowing over 300/game passing and then beat KC. So the defense responded. Then let's look at Eli Manning. Without OBJ he has been a dumspter fire. Sort of similar to Tyrod being deep sixed when they gave away Watkins. Let's hope for the best vs. KC.
  24. Oh oh........ Making sense again. If we do somehow get a top QB in the top half of the 1st round of the draft, wouldn't it too make sense to ease him in unless he is so impressive in camp and pre-season. And no Peterman should not start in 2018........
  25. And you claim that an average wr garners the top cover guy and double coverage on almost every play? You throw out only catches and targets and I am stating facts that the All22 shows him open and by watching the game, the pass play calls, Goff's eyes and progressions that he is not looking @ Watkins. Yes the play call is for Watkins to preoccupy the opposing teams best defender and double coverage and make easier throws to Woods, Kugg, the TE, Gurley & Austin.
